Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

Hugs for you liquid - I know just how you feel! We deserve a glow and a maccy ds godamit!! Sad

mummytobejuly2014 · 23/01/2014 12:28

hoping this "glow" gets a move on for us all. have developed lovely teenage acne from day 1 & not shifting from my back & chest at all! tryin to not use too many products on my skin but the back ones feel like bruises! will be 16wks 2mro... bring on the glow!!

elliejjtiny · 23/01/2014 12:34

I only got the glow with my miscarried babies. Still puking here. I've discovered that if I put bottles of water in the freezer overnight and then sip the just melted bits slowly then I get more fluids in.

elliejjtiny · 23/01/2014 12:37

Forgot to add I've joined tiara club Grin. I've already got a hospital bag packed (DS4 was prem and I had to pack a bag in a hurry so taking no chances this time) so will add a tiara when I next go into town. DH is still in bed which is doing nothing for my motivation. I really need to get of my bum and do some housework.

jaykay987 · 23/01/2014 12:38

did have a maccyd's the other day hardly the baby focussed diet I thought Id be treating myself to by now

I was amazing!

Until an hour later and then I felt awful! and ended up having to sleep it off! I would recommend it! Grin

Plateofcrumbs · 23/01/2014 13:05

Sorry so many of you are still feeling so sick.

Yesterday afternoon I had a proper, undisputable, that's-not-just-a-large-lunch BUMP for the first time. Thankfully I was wearing some kind of smock-dress ensemble in the office otherwise it'd have been a bit obvious. Virtually flat again this morning, t'is a mysterious thing.

First CVS results due tomorrow. Am working from home as I think either way I'm going to be a bit of an emotional mess, although really not looking forward to being at home on my own all day - having to act normal in office is what's keeping me sane.

I'm convinced we're going to have a positive result on T21 - despite only being 1 in 98 risk there's just too many other markers pointing in this direction. DH is convinced I'm reading too much into the other markers and that we should focus on the 1 in 98 as being more reliable.

So now I'm in a dilemma - what's worse? T21 or being proved wrong in an argument with DH? (I'm joking obviously, black humour is also keeping me sane).

ZingSweetApple · 23/01/2014 13:14

naptime for me.

LemonLovely · 23/01/2014 13:18

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. Popping in with a quick question for the forum regulars!

I'm being driven crazy - slowly but surely - by restless legs at night. Am usually a sufferer but pregnancy has ramped it up to a whole new level, especially is last few weeks (I'm now 15+5).

Any fellow sufferers who can bestow any tricks for relieving, which I can try out?! All ideas will be gratefully received!!

ZingSweetApple · 23/01/2014 13:35

no idea, but if you have muscle cramps in your calves magnesium supplements can help

sorry you have this conditionThanks , I've read about it before, must be exhausting.

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 23/01/2014 14:11

Plateofcrumbs I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you.

ismarah · 23/01/2014 14:38

Plate we will all the thinking of you tomorrow and hoping really hard. Brew

Another vote here for magnesium - it's awesome! Vit D helps a little too if you're low, plus we should be taking it anyway as beans are vit d leeches.

ZingSweetApple · 23/01/2014 15:13

plate

I missed that earlier.
I like your sense of humour, it's a bit like mine.- but let's go with proven wrong this time, shall we?Wink
hoping & praying that it's not what you think and that your fears are just your mind playing tricks on you.
Thanks

liquidstate · 23/01/2014 15:42

Plate am thinking of you loads and hope you will be fine. Am home sick again tomorrow so if you need to talk we are here.

MacDs was 'amezzin'. I had to sit outside in car as music in store was too loud then a van of workmen pulled up and started eating their maccyDs beside me with stereo blaring so I had to drive off somewhere else. Annoying.

Have found another nasty side effect, stinky underarms. Never had that before Blush

eeyore2911 · 23/01/2014 17:11

Can I jump on here? I've been on August club but after scan I've got a due date of 23rd July and because it's twins the consultant said they wouldn't let me go over 37 weeks, so maybe more like 2nd July? Shock Eek! I'm pregnant with numbers 3&4 and have 2 DS Smile

AuntieMaggie · 23/01/2014 17:56

plate thinking of you

eeyore welcome

Yep loads of gas here too... DP keeps tutting at me Blush

I'm off to find zings tiara thread!

mummytobejuly2014 · 23/01/2014 18:04

will be thinking of you plate.
ooh I want a micky d's, good job the closest is 20mins away so I have inly been once for an icecream since we found out abt little one being on board. caved in and bought maternity work trousers in new look today, just not comfy in my old ones & waiting for seams to burst or buttons to pop off lol! they also had a few maternity items in the sale, got a nice black cardi reduced to £11. 20% off for students too (back in sept i applied for a Saturday hairdressing course but it got cancelled and my student id I was issued has no dates/year on it - hope to get some useful discounts with it)

fifi669 · 23/01/2014 18:34

lemon I'm suffering too :( did with DS. Maybe it's my come back for not getting MS?

Excuse me for being blunt, but after all the vitamins etc in the world the only thing I've found 100% effective is dtd. Whether solo or with DP, I can crash out afterwards.

If like me you have a desk job, I'm afraid stretching your legs under the desk like a weirdo is the only socially acceptable solution!

talulahbelle · 23/01/2014 18:54

plate I'm thinking of you, hoping all goes as smoothly as possible tomorrow.
I'm off to aqua aerobics in a bit, my first proper exercise (pilates doesn't really count) since before I was pregnant. Is it bad I haven't shaved my legs?!

AuntieMaggie · 23/01/2014 18:57

Can someone explain the NCT thing to me?

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 23/01/2014 20:24

Plate thinking of you for tomorrow.

Welcome eeyore.

With all this talk of maccyd's, it's a good job that's what I had for lunch today (first time in months) otherwise I would have been very Envy. I deserve a smiley because I had a salad instead of chips and water to drink!

And I most certainly won't be joining the tiara club. I can't imagine trying to explain it to the hospital staff in French! Grin

ismarah · 23/01/2014 20:47

Am really quite going off the kitchen sink. Bump plus me being a shortarse equals me being quite uncomfortable and so is bump.

Anyone??

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 23/01/2014 21:05

Going back to the discussion from the last thread on requesting a c-section, one reason could be wanting to avoid a crash c-section. That's what I'll be saying when I ask for an ELCS - I don't want to go through that experience again - BUT, I'm guessing that reason works best since I've been through it before.

I just typed out the full story of my hoped for birth and eventual c-section, but deleted it because I don't want to worry anyone with it. But what I will say is that as a very squeamish person who had never had stitches, been in hospital before etc, I was surprised at how things like having an epidural weren't as bad as I had thought they would be when I was pregnant and somehow I just got on with it carried by the thought of my baby and their well being.

MrsB2013 · 23/01/2014 23:37

Hi Eeyore welcome and congratulations!

Zing I will join your tiara club, I want to wear my wedding tiara again so this is a good reason to!!

Plate will be thinking of you and hope you get good news tomorrow.

I've got my consultant MW appointment tomorrow morning, fx it goes ok and she refers me to an obstetrician!!

Hope everyone is ok :)

museumworker · 24/01/2014 06:25

plate, fingers crossed you have to eat humble pie with OH today!

sooo shattered atm, have no patience with line manager - felt like crying a lot of yesterday in the office! Hoping to go out with some friends this evening for an hour or so after work, but haven't yet worked out how OH can be in two places at the same time (picking up DD and DS).

AuntieMaggie · 24/01/2014 09:34

Oh joy - have noticed a lump on my eyeball this morning so instead of lazing around in my PJs today I will need to visit the optician... Angry
