I don't really get time to Facebook or MN much, just too busy when DS is awake, and too much to do while he's sleeping. I hope you all don't mind me coming on to ask about what movements you're feeling with baby now?

I'm 26+2w, so at the back of the bus, but I'm worried that I hardly feel baby move at all. She does move through the day, but her movements aren't very strong or noticeable. In the evenings when I have quiet time, she's still really quiet - even when I have a bath, hot/cold drink, sugary dessert, lay down etc. I'm sure I used to feel DS loads at this stage, and quite strong movements too. Am I worrying unnecessarily?

wispaxmas · 22/03/2014 20:36

Hey stacks, answered on Facebook already!

Redcliff · 22/03/2014 22:45

Stacks - I don't have a massive amount movement although had the odd kicky evening - I think as long as your feeling fine your ok but no harm in going up to the hospital on Monday for some monitoring if that would put your mind at rest .

jaykay987 · 22/03/2014 22:45

42days left. Sounds like a lot - but 3 are on a residential course, and another 5 should be work from hone days, so only another 34 days to commute!

MarlenaGru · 23/03/2014 06:45

I was shattered last night so in bed before 10. Now I am wide awake whilst DD sleeps and DH pretends he is still sleeping too. Bored as if I get up and make tea etc I will lose the peace of just me awake. I need a kettle in my room Grin

Lmf679 · 23/03/2014 07:39

marlenagru am wide awake too! Staying with my parents this week whilst the bathroom is redone and although they have a lovely seaside house the sun was pouring in at 6:30am and I can't get back to sleep now. Not complaining though, there's worse things to be woken up by!

Redcliff · 23/03/2014 12:15

I had trouble getting to sleep last night but had a lovely lie in till 10.30 (me and DP take it in turns on the weekend) . Going out later and it is cats and dogs round here. Send some sun my way please.

Mitchell2 · 23/03/2014 12:17

I woke at 6am but thankfully was able to get back to sleep.... So just realised that tomorrow hut the third thrones yet and have 84 days to go?! How did that happen... Eeek!

Mitchell2 · 23/03/2014 14:32

I have no idea what on earth happened with that autocorrect. Third trimester! Blush

MarlenaGru · 23/03/2014 15:59

Lol to third thrones! Slightly confused.

Ours was also thanks to glorious sunshine although I am flagging now. DH is making an early dinner for us to have with DD and parents. Been a lovely lazy Sunday other than the 100 loads of washing I have had to put on and hang and fold on repeat!

Expectingtwins1975 · 23/03/2014 18:57

Feeling majorly hacked off today ... Not even any particular reason for it - just finding everyone really annoying!!

Redcliff · 23/03/2014 19:49

I have days where people are massively annoying - a really nice person at work really got underused skim for nothing the other day. Glad people had a nice day as did I. I ate so much that I wanted to undo my jeans in the cinema and then realised that mat jeans have no button !

Liquidambar · 23/03/2014 20:40

Red your post made me laugh. I had that feeling once! :-) Hope you enjoyed the film, thought.

BEEwitched · 23/03/2014 21:38

I've been tired and grumpy all weekend - we put DH's car in the garage on Thursday and he took the day off because it's a 1-hour round trip and there is no way to take public transport to his work and back and still get to the garage to get the car back.

Only they rang Thursday afternoon to say they were backed up and couldn't finish his car! OK, so he can take my car to work, problem is that a) I needed to pick up several urgent prescriptions from the GP and b) I have to get up to the garage to drive my car back down after he gets his back!

So he stopped work early, came down to pick me up, rush me to the GP and pharmacy, then we went back up to pick up his car from outside the gates of the garage where they were supposed to leave his car.

Only they forgot and his car was locked up and no way to get at it or contact them. So that's another 1-hour round trip and a ton of petrol wasted.

And I will have to drive him up to the garage at 8am tomorrow morning and HOPE they're open before he has to go to work, otherwise I'll have to wait around the gates for an hour and then rush back down the coast in his car (which I HATE driving atm as his seatbelt barely fits over my bump) because I have a midwife appointment at 9:30am.

I've been grumpy and he has been thoroughly pissed off all weekend...

Redcliff · 23/03/2014 23:16

Liquid - I did - it was the latest muppet movie ( DS was with us)

Bee - how rubbish is that! Sounds like all sorts of rubbish - I hope the garage are very apologetic tomorrow !

Sareva · 24/03/2014 00:21

Hi Stacks -with both my girls they were both so chilled and placid when it came to movements, I was constantly worried that something wasn't right. But they were perfect, just very chilled - not so much now! But with this one (boy), omg i feel like he's breakdancing in there. Are there any old wives tales about Boy v Girls movements?

Jessiebaba · 24/03/2014 12:54

I don't know about any old wives tales sareva but scan said I'm having a girl and she is very energetic so that doesn't really work for your theory. I swear on Saturday she was moving constantly...to the point where it actually got a bit annoying/sore!

Stacks · 24/03/2014 19:13

Baby moved lots Sunday morning, then was really chilled again all afternoon/evening. I think I'm usually so busy in the morning I maybe just don't notice her move so much.

Saw my consultant today, and am booked in for them to try and break my waters if I get to 10 days overdue, if they can't break my waters, I'll be given a elcs the same day! I really don't want a section this time, as I think it'll be almost impossible to deal with DS and a baby after. So, fingers and toes all firmly crossed that I don't get to 10 days over please! DS was born at 42+2, so I'm feeling a bit pessimistic. :/

MarlenaGru · 24/03/2014 19:51

Why 10 days over stacks? I am concerned about induction pressure as my scan at 7 weeks pushed me back to 6 weeks and my scan at 12 weeks pushed me back again. I think 6 and 7 week foetuses are pretty different so I am very concerned I am going to be told I am overdue before I really am... I really want a home birth and DD was 9 days late so slightly anxious!!

mylittlel · 25/03/2014 09:22

Good morning, dont like moaning really, but have anyone experience pains kind of in a bum area? im suffering everyday when im trying to stand up, trying to move when sitting down or even when moving my leg when sitting

Sareva · 25/03/2014 13:50

Glad to hear there's been movement Stacks.
Jessie - I've just started to get the rib kicks - never experienced that before - i know what you mean about sore.

Redcliff · 25/03/2014 15:17

I have some odd pain in the top of my legs and had bottom pain when I was constipated but that seems to have stopped now.

Just got told I shouldn't carry my heavy hand bag (its one with a long strap that sits across my body ) but what else would I carry my stuff in? Can it really be that bad for me?

wispaxmas · 25/03/2014 15:58

Mylittel, I've got pain in my tailbone whenever I walk too far or too long. Midwife said there was nothing I could do other than pregnancy yoga..

mylittlel · 25/03/2014 20:49

thanks, Wispa, i think its time to open pilates during pregnancy DVD)

MarlenaGru · 25/03/2014 21:26

mylittle i have had similar and i do find exercise helps. I think bands around your bumps can help too but not got aroudn to trying one yet.

I am really finding it hard to find energy at the moment. I could have fallen asleep a few times today. Only 32.5 more work days to go I think... which means only 66 more train journeys Grin
