Second interviews for mat cover today - starting to feel very close now! Should know who is replacing me by the end of this week - eek!

Wickedwiggle86 · 18/03/2014 10:31

Another one guilty of facebooking, sorry everyone :( Will try to check in more often! So, am 26 weeks tomorrow and feel quite lucky as bump still quite neat, but had a sudden urge to do some exercise last night and was ashamed at how much muscle tone I have lost. Am going to try to make more of an effort while I am feeling fairly good!

Ordered pram yesterday and am very impressed with groovystyle; dispatched within 45 mins of order being placed and a text to choose from 3 delivery dates. Will be using them again!

panic pleased everything is going ok for you :)

BEEwitched · 18/03/2014 12:11

Lovely midwife just came round, bp fine, baby fine though still quite good at moving away from doppler so it took a good while of rummaging until we got a clear reading. Next check-ups Friday & Monday, then back to the hospital for ante-natal next week Wednesday, when I will be 29+6 weeks.

Jessiebaba · 18/03/2014 12:56

I'm another one who's mainly on facebook these days but will try to post more here.

25+1 now and actually feeling pretty well. Had heartburn during my yoga class last night which was OK until we did the relaxation bit at the end when everyone goes quiet and there was lots of gurgling-type noises coming from me which I totally could not control Blush I'm hoping it seemed louder to me and that no one else noticed.

I've only got 10 weeks (after this week so 11 really) left to work as I'm finishing at 36 weeks (but using a/l for first 4 weeks before EDD) and I cannot wait! Grin

Jessiebaba · 18/03/2014 12:56

Glad appointment went well beewitched and glad to hear things are going well for you too panic

Stacks · 18/03/2014 12:57

Getting you all back on my TIO. Will catch up in a bit :)

ChicaMomma · 18/03/2014 16:11

Hi Junies!

Latecomer to the train as i didnt realise there was an ante natal club section... due (first baby) on June 21st.

Have really only started to feel and look pregnant in the last 2 weeks, and now it has hit me like a tonne of bricks. I guess i should be lucky to have gotten away with it until now! Feel like aliens have taken over my body and just feel ROTTEN, like a whale and so unsexy! whinge whinge!

On the upside, only 13 weeks left..

wispaxmas · 18/03/2014 16:33

Hi Chica! The thread has sadly been dying a lot recently because we made ourselves a secret Facebook group, which has been a lot easier for some of us. We're trying to revive the thread, but if you're interested in joining the group PM me your email address and I can invite you. Congratulations, by the way!!

wispaxmas · 18/03/2014 16:34

Oh, and I'm with you. I'm about 2.5 weeks ahead of you and I've only felt pregnant since the end of feb, but it's suddenly kicked in!

Mitchell2 · 18/03/2014 16:38

Welcome Chica - and whinge away, as that is what we are all here for! Smile

I must admit I haven't had it so bad with my pregnancy compared to others BUT when ever I am asked my analogy is that its like having a perm low level hangover - the tiredness, nausea and only wanting to eat crappy foods. I have maintained this so far - sadly the 2nd trimester glow. and bloom stage never happened for me and now rapidly approaching the bloated third where I waddle, and my stretch marks have come to greet me.

Rock and Roll Grin

Expectingtwins1975 · 18/03/2014 17:25

Wispaxmas - what breast pump did you buy?

MarlenaGru · 18/03/2014 17:30

Hi chica we are due date twins! I am fairly sure I will be late though as my daughter was 9 days late and my first scan at 7 weeks put me at a week later due date.
I am hoping for a home birth and really excited that we are now getting 4 weekly appointments as it seems to make time go quicker.

Expectingtwins1975 · 18/03/2014 17:32

I'm 24+4 today and finally have felt movements during the day .... Previous to now its only been during the night when I'm in bed. Hoping it continues :)

Wickedwiggle86 · 18/03/2014 17:38

How does he manage to headbutt my ribs and dance on my bladder at the same time?!

CleverOl10 · 18/03/2014 17:40

Agree with those who say they're properly starting to feel pregnant. I felt like I was waddling round school today :(

Plus was not especially when a colleague who is due end of April stood next to me and gleefully announced how much bigger my bump is than hers. I said something huffy about it being my second and her first.

Liquidambar · 18/03/2014 18:09

I'm definitely waddling!
the worst thing is the stairs... god... why can't I do it properly? I think students have a bit of a laugh when they see me.

I'm afraid I do not have any pregnancy glow Sad just dark circles, puffed eyes, spots and dry skin! perhaps my hair is looking stronger.

Redcliff · 18/03/2014 20:14

Marlena - thanks for the advice. Have decided to change my appointment so must remember to call them ASAP

LMF - were you involved in the interviews at all or had some input in terms of who you got?

Welcome Chico - so lovely to see new people

MarlenaGru · 19/03/2014 07:05

Argh the walking up stairs is so embarrassing! I feel like a five year old who can't reach the steps properly. And don't mention the waddling.

clever I would have punched her! I am much bigger this time than last and it is uncomfortable and horrible so don't need anyone pointing out the obvious!

wispaxmas · 19/03/2014 07:43

Expecting, I got the avent comfort double electric. It was cheaper on amazon, then there was a 10% off voucher as well!

Sussex31 · 19/03/2014 09:13

Just returned from a few days away and it is nice to see more chat on this thread!

I walked round a castle on Monday and I think I racked up 4 loo breaks - 1 for every 2 towers we walked up. So many stairs, I was puffing away by the top of every tower and my legs are still killing me.

I am not at all used to feeling so unfit, it was quite a shock to the system and really makes me think about how quickly my body is changing.

I can feel a lot of wriggling going on inside now day and night, despite having an anterior placenta, so that is just lovely.

The main outstanding item on the shopping list is the Uppababy Vista. Really hoping it might be on offer somewhere soon.

Wickedwiggle86 · 19/03/2014 12:19

Hi Sussex31! I'm with you on the constant loo breaks,my OH finds it hilarious that I have to use supermarket loo before AND after the food shop :( are you getting a car seat too? Can't remember if you drive or not... If so I got the Vista and cabriofix for 638.99 from groovystyle

Jessiebaba · 19/03/2014 12:21

Sussex I've felt the same recently re fitness (or lack of!). I went for a swim on Saturday morning followed by a decent but not overly long walk with my dogs and I honestly don't think I've ever walked so slowly! Blush I'm used to being able to do these things without really thinking about it but it seems my body has other ideas these days. I think it's a combination of physical changes due to the pregnancy but also the result of me trying to take it easy for the past few months - maybe I've been taking it a bit too easy!

Expectingtwins1975 · 19/03/2014 13:11

Thanks wispaxmas. Sussex I'm planning on buying the uppababy vista from trendybaby.co.uk - same package as wicked mentioned above .. £638 for buggy and maxi cosi cabriofix

Redcliff · 19/03/2014 14:46

Loving this thread being more active again ! I have never been fit but my body is really taking the biscuit now ! Tried to walk quickly to the station just now as running late to pick up DS and could even manage that ! I have to roll myself off the sofa every night and have been ringing people at work instead of walking over to where they sit. Can't believe I still have almost 3 months to go.

CleverOl10 · 19/03/2014 15:26

Red - I've perfected the evening sofa roll!!
