Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mylittlel · 13/03/2014 12:09

lmf i have something similar to you and when i asked mw she said its due to baby's position, s/he can be in a "weird" position which makes us feel that way, i hope she was saying truth..i asked her if i need to wear bump band/support she said no, but im still tempted to give it a go

Lmf679 · 13/03/2014 12:34

Thanks mylittlel I'll check with my midwife tomorrow, see what she says and report back

Biffle · 13/03/2014 15:23

lmf it sounds like Sciatica with me. It is quite normal from around 24 weeks (although everyone is different) due to the increased weight of your uterus. SPD is more like a constant pain in a band around your hips and pelvis (at least mine was), and when you stand up it is really difficult to walk at first and then painful once you get going. With DD2 I was unable to walk without crutches / DD1's pushchair for support and even then it was a definite old lady shuffle. Stairs were done on my bottom and getting in and out of bed felt like red hor pokers.

I have struggled with Sciatica this time but luckily seems to have eased off considerably thanks to a new chair at work.

Cherryjellybean · 14/03/2014 07:03

Hey, would I be able to join the fb group please? I have been meaning to ask for ages and its just gone so quiet here!

Redcliff · 14/03/2014 07:54

It has gone quiet here - such a shame (even though the face book page is fun) . I got out of breath going up the stairs in my own house today ! What am I going to be like in the coming weeks?

LadyGoneGaga · 14/03/2014 11:46

Cherryjellybean PM me your email address and I will add you.

Lmf679 · 14/03/2014 15:16

For those of you on the FB page you've already heard about the midwife appointment but the upshot of it was that they don't really know what the pain is, could be pelvic girdle pain, could be sciatica, they are referring me for physio.

Liquidambar · 15/03/2014 13:18

lmf I hope physio can see you quickly. Hope you'll get better soon

red I live on second floor and work on the forth floor and I am getting out of breath too...

hope everyone is having a good weekend

misshoohaa · 17/03/2014 13:52

Bummer, it appears this thread is slowly disappearing over to facebook, which I don't want to join for privacy reasons. Such a shame as this happened with DS1 and so never got to continue with the chat and banter post birth.

Wishing you all the best with the rest of your pregnancies. I'll check in occasionally but it seems that bulk of the chat is on FB and will most likely stay that way, appreciate it's easier for the majority to have it over there! Hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying the growing bumps. :)

Lmf679 · 17/03/2014 14:32

misshooha the Facebook group is completely private and nobody except the June group can see any posts or updates you include in this. If you PM Gillywillybilly she can send you an invite

Redcliff · 17/03/2014 19:37

It is a shame that this has died down- I wonder if its worth asking Facebook peeps to update here - say once a week ? What do you think?

misshoohaa · 17/03/2014 20:14

Still not keen to go on FB, I know it's a private group but still wouldn't work for me unfortunately!

Would be great to drag some of the conversation back this way but probably not going to happen in reality!

CleverOl10 · 17/03/2014 20:40

Sorry keep trying to check in here too but it's so quiet that fb is easier. Feel free to make a fake profile and join us....we don't care who you claim to be, just enjoy sharing the stories! But will endeavour to check in here too. Hope those of you who are not on fb are progressing well. I'm finally feeling a little more human....although I'm sure that will pass soon!

MarlenaGru · 17/03/2014 20:57

I don't mind doing both. I can talk enough for everywhere!

26 weeks. The weeks are flying by but still not entirely convinced it isn't a dream. 10 more work weeks... Might do a daily count down!

jaykay987 · 17/03/2014 21:07

10 more work weeks?! That doesn't sound long!

CleverOl10 · 17/03/2014 21:16

That makes it too real....I'm 28 weeks and leaving at 37.5 weeks. But two of those are Easter holidays so is that really only 7 working weeks....gulp!

panicmechanic · 17/03/2014 22:45

So nice to hear from some of you! I can't do fb either which is a shame as I really enjoyed hearing all of the news etc

I am now on weekly checks and also biweekly consultations at fmc. All going well, I've had a couple of small bleeds but I am ok

Hope you are all good

Vickyvix · 17/03/2014 23:33

Hi ladies, sorry I've totally neglected this thread but hadn't really appreciated some people were only here and not on FB. I will try and get back to my morning mumsnet check in on the tube from now on.

So, 26+1 here and hoping baby is growing. Got referred for growth scans with the consultant after 20 week scan due to baby being very small, so had one at 24 weeks and next one is 27+2. I have been packing in the protein in the hope that this helps baby grow some more, fingers crossed it's working. My tummy is growing quite rapidly so hoping that's a good sign and I can see baby moving from the outside now which hopefully means she is bigger.

Have mainly been trying to take my mind off worrying with shopping for bits for the nursery and clothes for baby :)

Last day at work scheduled for 23rd May, can't wait.

Glad all seems well panic I'll do some reading back but hope everyone is doing ok

Mitchell2 · 18/03/2014 05:38

Hey all... I do check in here on occasion so keep posting!

I'm currently in dubai (yay) for work (boo) but hope to finish early and get pool time tomorrow Grin

27+1 today and my stretch marks are worse and indigestion killing me.

My latest rant is about baby clothes... Finally stopped buying myself stuff and thought miss squrimie needed some clothing but some websites (gap I'm looking at you!) are pissing me off with the girls section and boys sections for babies as young as 0-3.... Grrrrr. I ended up buying stuff from both sections but it still pisses me off!

Too many weeks/days until I'm off Confused soooo much stuff to do and as I'm not having long off work I can't just leave it for others to sort out!

MarlenaGru · 18/03/2014 07:52

Jealous of potential pool time tomorrow mitchell
Despite two glorious sunny weekends in a row it is bloody freezing again this morning. This makes dressing impossible as I die on the train with a coat and freeze walking to and from work without one.
I somehow need to stay awake and sit still in an all day seminar today. I feel my back spasming at the thought.

Redcliff · 18/03/2014 08:19

Yay - it's so nice to see people back! I am still feeling sick some days which feels very unfair and the mid trimester energy seems to have gone :(

Just relished I have double booked interviews for my mat cover the same day as my next midwife appointment - for some reason I thought the appointment was at 9.30 but its at 11.15 . I am not sure what to do - we have 5 applicants - one can't do the date anyway and one is internal so should be able to move those round and them see the other 3 in the afternoon or reschedule the appointment - what would you do?

MarlenaGru · 18/03/2014 08:28

redcliff that sounds rubbish! I have definitely got more energy than a month ago and am luckily not feeling sick anymore but every now and again with no warning the heartburn strikes. It seems to rise up to my ears and makes me just want to cry.

I am also enormous which is making the fact I still have 3 months to go slightly terrifying. I don't want to wish this pregnancy away as it will definitely be our last, but I am quite tired of being a miserable, tired grump!

MarlenaGru · 18/03/2014 08:29

Oops missed your question! I would call and try to change the midwife but mine is impossible to get an appointment so if they can't fit you in another time then try and shift the interviews.

BEEwitched · 18/03/2014 08:37

Hiya! I've not been mumsnetting much in general recently, just been busy (with hospital visits, boo!) - I have check-ups with the midwife twice a week now, I'm actually waiting for her right now but she could stop by anytime, so I'll just have to take it easy.

Have had a couple of really weird twinges over the weekend so I'll have to ask whether that's the added weight of the baby or whether it's an uti or something - I should have my own test-strips by now but my GP practise is a bit slow with their scripts!

wispaxmas · 18/03/2014 09:44

I'm completely guilty of letting the fb group take over for me. It's just easier to follow as you can look at things in different threads, not one long stream. I'll try to be better and come back on MN sometimes, though!

I've been making the big purchases recently- double electric breast pump, ridiculously over the top baby bouncer(mamaroo), and a bugaboo buffalo. Just to say that not all ebay prams are frauds and scams, I got one that is lovely and now officially registered to me on the bugaboo website, so there are deal out there.

Nothing much new with me otherwise, still not had my 28 wk appt, though I'm 29 weeks, oops.

I'll go have a read back a bit and see what's been happening!
