Panic all sounds positive. My DS was born at 35weeks. If you would seem him now you would never say he was a preem baby! I must confess the first two months were hard, but 35weeks it a good milestone. Good luck.

jess glad the scan went well. And another scan in a couple of weeks sounds good :)

Bee did you find the food you were craving, or something similar?

re washing: I also use non-bio.

Welcome newbies :)

I am so tired today. Was all day out of the office doing field work and walked about 8km. I needed the loo a couple of times but I was in the middle of some woodlands... just had to go behind a tree!
Hope everyone is well

MinaLeeds · 10/02/2014 20:42

I managed to get work done this morning reviewing a paper that is about to be published (my first academic paper in print! woohoo!) then just crashed. Brain felt like it was full of cotton wool and I was in some sort of time dilation device where my ability to process info was significantly slower than the rate at which things were happening. So I went and made lasagne instead. Still feel a bit fluffy round the edges but hopefully tomorrow won't be so bad!

And baby has spent most of today tap dancing on my bladder. Which made me giggle a lot as it felt like being tickled from the inside!

AmelieRose · 10/02/2014 20:48

Hi everyone, not checked in in a while. Lovely to hear everyone's scan news!

I'll be 22 weeks on Thursday but still not feeling much movement. What's everyone else's experience of this? First baby, so not sure what I should be feeling really!

Think I've felt something a couple of times (once like bubbles and once like a flutter) but beyond that not much... Keep getting a little sharp something, like a very very brief pain (but not painful really). Could that be movement? Looking for some pearls of wisdom from those of you on DC2 and beyond! Smile

cjbk1 · 10/02/2014 21:12

evening all, off to bed in a minute as Ava kept waking up last night and tonight we just sat down for dinner and dd1 had a bad tummy, I'm really annoyed that school gave her a red card for refusing to do P.E when she was obviously feeling ill and we should've been called Confused

Sasafraz · 10/02/2014 21:52

Hello lovely ladies, I have been reading from time to time on my phone but am rubbish in typing from phone so have kept quiet. I am very happy to see my name is still on the list :) I did follow most of your news and such. How do I join the facebook group? Is it a closed group or public? If it is public I have no interest but if it is a closed group, I would love to join. Thanks!

CleverOl10 · 10/02/2014 22:29

Sasa it's a closed group. Private message Gilly and she'll send you an invite!

singlespeedlass · 11/02/2014 06:36

Hello everyone.

Can I join please? DS2 due on 10th June, so at least the 20th if last time was anything to go by!!

Thanks,
Singlespeedlass.

Redcliff · 11/02/2014 07:25

Amelia - I am sure I was the same as you last time - just a one off bubble and flutter by this stage. It was later on when I felt any movement.

Welcome speed - lovely to have another new member.

Am on my way to a two day training course with a hotel stay ( and hotel dinner tonight ) woo hoo! Had to fill in a personality questionnaire thing for it and it made me relies how less calm I am feeling these days (cross rather than stressed). Any IMF else getting preggo rage?

Cherryjellybean · 11/02/2014 07:26

Welcome singles and everyone else that has joined!

Bezza I just went on to have a see what happened and thats so so sad. It really does put things in perspective.

My scan was really good last week and it looks like another girl! Its exciting that dd will have a sister and we have clothes all ready!

Stacks · 11/02/2014 07:57

Amelie I think the first movements (after the flutters and "was that just wind?" stage) feel like being flicked on the inside. They're not much like kicks till baby gets bigger and stronger. At this stage they have so much room to move about, and if they kick in towards your insides you're unlikely to feel it.

DS has infected me with a cold of doom. Feel awful.

AmelieRose · 11/02/2014 10:43

Thanks Stacks. Lack of movement coupled with a small bump make me a bit anxious at times!

Doesn't help that every bloody woman I work with has an opinion on everything to do with pregnancy. I had to give a very snappy response to someone who kept comparing my bump to her daughter's last week. And the woman who keeps asking 'Have you felt anything yet? I was feeling lots of movement by your stage'.

Everyone's an expert on pregnancy aren't they?! Grin

Mitchell2 · 11/02/2014 11:02

Welcome newbies.

Amelie I am 22 weeks and am feeling some movement, but not a lot. In fact it seems to have dropped off a little and like you I have a small bump so am anxious. I dont know why, scan last monday was fine as was the midwife appt Wednesday but still, until I am properly karate kicked I will be on edge.

Still waiting for my bloody second tri glow! Thought I had gotten over the nausea, and feeling like crap but its come back. I know that I am lucky as I haven't had HG but still waiting to feel like I am 'blooming' Grin

AmelieRose · 11/02/2014 11:11

I feel the same Mitchell2 - although as I was just about to fall asleep last night I shouted to DH 'I just felt something weird!' as it felt like a kind of ripple in my stomach. Hoping she gets karate kicking soon!

Hope you feel better soon, I'm certainly not glowing but I feel much better this week after months of sickness so I sympathise Smile

MrsBon · 11/02/2014 11:17

Welcome to all the new mums-to-be!
About movement, I have been feeling some.. But since this is my second baby so apparently you feel movement earlier in the second pregnancy as compared to first pregnancy :)
Just wondering if there any mums here from Coventry? Would be lovely to meet up for coffee Smile

HannahC1989 · 11/02/2014 16:25

Anybody on second baby after c-section? Iv no idea what to expect this time! X

CleverOl10 · 11/02/2014 18:04

Welcome singles - we're due date buddies!

My baby has been nicknamed Kicky because it won't give it a rest. He's constantly kicking and wriggling around. Got my rescan tomorrow, really hope Kicky doesn't live up to the name and cause problems again!

Redcliff · 11/02/2014 18:13

A-rose - some people are idiots. One the girls in a different team is pregnant (due in May) and she is feeling less movement than me and has a smaller bump than me. Do I say "I'm feeling loads of movement" or "your so tiny"? Of course not - I try and be reassuring and the only bit of advice I have given her is to wear her "baby on board " badge on the tube. Every pregnant person is different just like all people are different. .

Bezzabelle · 11/02/2014 19:57

Hannah- I has c section with ds but was crash and I had GA which was horrendous as dh wasn't allowed in theatre with me and I was asleep when ds was born (which was probably a good thing really as he had to be resuscitated a few times) had placenta abruption so having planned c section this time so hoping it will be a lot calmer. Are you going for a VBAC?

HannahC1989 · 11/02/2014 20:48

Yes bezzabelle, my c section was my daughters fault... being back to back and getting distressed and they are encouraging me to go natural this time. Which i am fine with as i felt i missed skin to skin last time. But im very worried about the final stages of labour

MarlenaGru · 11/02/2014 21:31

I am second timer but I feel like I am carrying an octopus. Everything I eat makes it go nuts. Last time I felt nothing until 22 weeks (I am 21 weeks now) and have been feeling proper kicking movements for a good few weeks now. I can even see my belly moving. Unfortunately the reason for this is destroyed stomach muscles from last time so don't be too sad - I promise you will have a dancing belly soon Grin

Redcliff · 12/02/2014 08:36

Ah Marela - I know these missing stomach muscles you speak of hence why someone at my training course yesterday thought I was going on mat leave next week. Baby went a little crazy yesterday and was wiggling around like crazy. Still no kicks as such.

MarlenaGru · 12/02/2014 12:03

Lol redcliff
I am terrified to think of what I will look like at 40 weeks Hmm

Redcliff · 12/02/2014 18:23

OMG - hadn't thought of that M - god knows what I will be able to fit into then!

GillyBillyWilly · 12/02/2014 18:34

Checking in to say hello!
Hope everyone is well Smile

I'm 25 weeks next Monday and have a midwife appt next wed. The following week I have my anti D injection.
