Liquidambar the thing that complicates my situation somewhat is the fact that I am on a one year research contract that ends the month before baby is due. Luckily the uni HR people said that if I go off on ML the day before my contract ends, then I will still be covered for the MP but I won't have a job to go back to and will have to start job hunting with a newborn in the house. Which will suck big time.

And Bumblebeesmum that's hilarious! However Shoplifting will probably get you excited too...just not in a good way! lol! Thanks for the laugh!

Redcliff for me braxton hicks are like my stomach is tightening, hardening and becoming a bit uncomfortable all at the same time. I've never found it painful though - hope that helps!

Just on my way to scan. I've cut it really fine on the timing though, was nervous about leaving DS for the first time! Gave far too much advice to my PIL and ended up leaving a bit late. Google says I should get there bang on 9:30 - scan time. Just wish I knew where I was going in the building, for some reason they've sent me right to the center of town (where I didn't even know there was a scan unit) instead of the hospital 2 minutes from my home.

Hello people. We had 20 week scan today (actualey 21 weeks). All good and another entry for team blue

Anomaly scan today and all good with this little boy

Another one here who had a scan today, all good - confirmed boy (although we already knew), but I have to have extra growth scans at 28 and 36 weeks due to increased placental blood flow resistance. Could mean risk of pre-eclampsia or small baby. My BP is good and always is during pregnancies but DD2 was small (5lb) when born at 38 weeks.

LMF I've got a low lying placenta too. Another scan at 34 weeks like you, fingers crossed they shift upwards. I'm glad everything else is ok.

Redcliff- BH contractions make your tummy go really hard and tight- sometimes mine feel like they are squeezing everything inside too and my breath is a bit harder to catch. Don't hurt though, just a bit uncomfortable. Think its just our wombs getting into gear for the big push!

My DS will just turned 3 when DC2 arrives in June. He hasn't used a buggy for a year so definately not looking in to a double but thinking about buggy board. Has anyone got any experience/advice ? I have the quinny buzz.
