Thanks everyone. I've felt a couple of moves since last post and trying everyone's ideas of hot/cold and sugary etc. my oh is out and feel scared about going in on my own. I'm hoping he'll be back in the next hour so may get him to take me then if no joy. I'm 36werks btw so expecting it to slow down. It's my first pregnancy so maybe I'm a little edgy. ??

Imeg · 23/02/2014 18:06

I don't know if anyone else has found this but I find mine tends to move if I do pelvic floor exercises...

I think recently the movements have got more clustered together i.e. more distinct periods of rest and moving rather than intermittent moving through the day. Presume this is to do with maturing/getting ready for life outside.

But definitely agree about getting checked if at all worried.

Lottie345 · 23/02/2014 22:14

bspice anusol shrinks them and stops the pain/itching. Safe to use during pg.

mummyb hope all is well

Second person on my ante-natal class has had her baby... It's all very real now!

puggywug81 · 24/02/2014 07:10

Morning Martians.

mummybee hope all is well.

Lottie it is getting scarily real now isn't it, I had my 1st antenatal class on Wednesday discussing Labour eek!

Last week of work though woohoo!

DitaVonCreamTeas · 24/02/2014 09:12

Imeg Ha! I thought that was just me, yup every time I do my pelvic floor exercises DS starts to wiggle.

DS's movements are definitely more cyclic now; I know if he has a patch of activity then it'll be followed by a period of stillness.

commsgirl · 24/02/2014 13:46

I can't stop cleaning! Anyone else?

Hope everything's well mummybee. Always best to get checked out. The midwives on the day unit here say they'd rather have you in every day than have you sat at home worrying.

BSpice · 24/02/2014 13:52

Thanks lottie ice & yogifor your advice*. I avoided pics on internet while researching & turned down DH's offer for him to take a photo of my backside-who needs that image?- I'd defo need eye bleach for that! Prune juice is working but can't say it tastes delightful but has desired effect! My GP gave me cream & suppositories-even he declined to look, unless it gets worse!

Yogi you may have to take the plunge & get jiggy to get that baby out!

4 days to go & counting- there's a few of us finishing this Fri- can't wait to be lady of leisure & follow u ladies with afternoon naps & nesting!

EmFlat · 24/02/2014 14:49

Imeg and Dita, me too! Any clenching sets Junior off and wriggling Grin though he's also got more defined periods of fidget/sleep now.

Comms, my sister said that was her just before her waters broke... the windows suddenly just HAD to be clean! Take it easy, we'll be waiting to hear good news from you next Wink

So, two weeks to go and I'm bored of waiting...

commsgirl · 24/02/2014 15:25

Em I cleaned every window in the house on Saturday (inside!). No waters though!

mrsmugoo · 24/02/2014 18:09

Hi Martians, how is everyone doing today?

I have been massively emotional today - cried 3 times at stupid things on the TV. I've also been having some really uncomfortable BHs, bordering on the painful I'd say.

I have consultant appt in the morning to discuss if I can have an ECV, I'm not sure when they will actually schedule it if they do think I'm suitable but in any case I will be one step closer to knowing!

Flumpinblues · 24/02/2014 20:04

Hi all, "mrsmugoo" I know how you feel I'm up and down like a yo-yo too. Cried yesterday out of sheer tired and soreness really but was much better after a good night's rest (apart from the usual toilet pit stops at midnight and 3am!!!)

"BSpice" I have 4 days left too! Woohooooo!!!! It's all feeling a bit real now. OH and I are having what on earth have we done moments...but I'm secretly very very excited too

Flumpinblues · 24/02/2014 20:04

Sorry tried to make your names bold clearly didn't work!

IceNoSlice · 24/02/2014 20:31

Hi all. So... I have some news! My waters broke at midnight Sat, my lovely little lady shot into the world at 4.30am. I'm currently cuddling her on the sofa whilst she clutches my thumb.

Good luck all x

commsgirl · 24/02/2014 20:44

Oh my gosh! Congratulations Ice!

pixiebell79 · 24/02/2014 20:47

Wow, congratulations Ice! So pleased for you Grin

BSpice · 24/02/2014 21:05

Congrats ice! Let's us know name weight etc when you have a minute! Lovely news, just as I'm about to watch OBEM! Smile

commsgirl · 24/02/2014 21:48

DP's stupid programme has recorded instead of OBEM. Not impressed!

TotalShock · 24/02/2014 22:08

Congratulations ice! I'm really pleased for you xxx

Yogibear72 · 24/02/2014 22:10

Congratulations Ice Thanks

I was convinced I would go into labour earlier than 40 weeks - had quite a few symptoms and midwives excited but if anything the last few days I've stopped having Braxton hicks and period pain and it feels like I've stalled.

Not watching OBEM - I can't watch stuff like that I'd rather just experience it.

EmFlat · 24/02/2014 23:44

GrinGrin Congratulations Ice! So happy for you Thanks

Yogi I'm the same about OBEM... so OH and I just watched 'Thor' instead Wink Bit of superhero-y stuff distracted us nicely!

mrsmugoo · 25/02/2014 07:56

Massive congratulations Ice!

I didn't watch OBEM either, it's a bit too close to home for me (if you catch my drift)

Right, off to the Consultant to talk about this naughty breech baby!!

OwlinaTree · 25/02/2014 08:30

Congrats ice!

Waiting in the hospital now, doing the diabetes test. Grr such a waste of time at 38+2!

Wuxiapian · 25/02/2014 08:32

Congratulations, Ice!

Wow. Nice and quick delivery, too :)

Fender1 · 25/02/2014 11:00

Wow, congratulations Ice, that's a labour / birth story I like to hear Smile
Good luck at the hosp this morning MrsM - hope you get the answers you need.

mrsmugoo · 25/02/2014 11:13

Owlina I had to go a GTT last week too - seems silly at this late stage doesn't it? Especially when it was because I'd had 2 instances of a +1 glucose, but have since had 2 in a row of NAD.

So I am booked for an ECV this Thursday - fingers crossed they can turn this little breech monster!
