Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No the doctor just said to come back if my bleeding got really heavy or I was having pain that couldn't be touched with paracetamol - neither of which I have so I'm just sitting and waiting to see what happens x

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 19:28

Oh really? That's not very nice for you! Feeling in limbo when a simple scan would help ease your mind! How far along are you now (what's the wait until 12 week scan?!)

NameToBeDecided · 09/01/2014 19:35

I accept then tell them after 12 weeks it is then. DH said the same but I wanted some impartial opinions as well.

Fee I'm sorry you're having a rough time. It is hopeful as it's mainly brown though, that means it's old blood. I hope everything works out ok.

Lissbug · 09/01/2014 19:39

fee can you get a private scan? Best to put your mind at rest if you can.

I went I see my doctor to tell her I was pregnant this morning. Was tempted to leave it as I am worried about tempting fate but decided 8+1 was leaving it long enough. Also had to go to the IVF clinic to get an intralipids infusion. The ward nurse threw her arms around me when she saw me. So sweet!
Have also been having sharp twinges today that come and go. Feels a bit like a trapped nerve. Also I definitely look pregnant and it is worse in the afternoon. Am struggling to find clothes that hide it properly!!

FEEdec · 09/01/2014 19:46

I've already paid for a private scan before the bleeding all started so I'd prefer not to shell out again. Monday was the earliest scan my GP could get me at any of the hospitals in my area.

To be honest though, I'd rather the scan be a few days away as I'm kind of not ready to know if its all over.

Sorry to be on such a downer!

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 19:52

Oh fee of course I remember now you said about Monday! I've forgotten now when did you have your private scan? Did you see the the hb? That dramatically reduces chance of mc depending on when you had it? Gosh must be horrible trying to stay positive but without getting to excited. I really hope all works out for you.

FEEdec · 09/01/2014 20:18

yes saw the heartbeat at the scan on New Years Eve, but she said I was 6+4 which didn't really tie in with when I thought we'd conceived or the 2-3weeks I got when I first did a pregnancy test on the 11th December, so that worried me straight off. I've not had a good feeling from the start with this pregnancy.

Its been a shit day all round as I also found out today that I'm definitely out of a job at the end of October (& will be car less too as I'll have to hand the company car back) so feeling very sorry for myself all round.

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 20:21

Oh fee it really does sound like you're having an awful time of it. I just hope Monday brings you good news as the bleeding stops over the weekend. Fingers crossed for you.

travispickles · 09/01/2014 20:23

Oh that is shit fee. But don't assume the worst. Things will pick up and you don't know that things won't work out with the pg.

BunnyBaby · 09/01/2014 20:27

Fee, what an awful day,

Just looking at your numbers your BFP on the 11/12 would be 4 weeks (2-3 since conception), so the 31/12 be 20 days on, making that 6+6, so super close to 6+4?

At my scan at 7+0 (though I made it 7+3 based on short cycle, BFP date etc), the baby was only 1cm, so I would imagine at 6 weeks, the margin for error is tiny. i.e. 1mm could make several days difference.

Please keep your hopes up :-) x

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 20:41

Can I ask (as I can't remember with dd) is it likely when I go to scan on Saturday (currently 8 weeks from lmp) is it likely I will be told I'm only 7 weeks as more likely when I conceived or not?? Just want to be prepared!!

FEEdec · 09/01/2014 20:42

Thanks for all the positive thought all. I'll keep you posted x x x

LakeOfDreams · 09/01/2014 21:03

Stay positive fee I know it's hard, sorry you are having such a rough time.

A very immature colleague of mine announced my news which she overheard so we've decided to have a scan on Saturday just in case everything's gone wrong. Had my booking in appt today at 8+4 and the midwife hinted my 12 week will probably be closer to 14 weeks! Couldn't face waiting that long.
She also told me not to put on much weight as my BMI is 33 didn't give any suggestions on achieving this though!!!

CakenTea · 09/01/2014 21:12

Fee, hope all turns out well, it must be hard feeling in limbo.

I've just picked up a voicemail from my midwife wanting to arrange my scan, and he is called John!! Most unexpected!! Has anyone had a male midwife before?

9+1 today and starting to feel less like doom, hurrah!!!

Missvaughan85 · 09/01/2014 21:22

Ha ha feeling and fatty I was thinking in my head 11+7 what will I be on the tue, instead of writing 11+4 lol

Missvaughan85 · 09/01/2014 21:24

Lake if I were you I'd send that colleague the bill and tell her it's for the stress and worry she had caused due to her telling people your news when you do t want it to be yet!! Cheeky thing!!!

Missvaughan85 · 09/01/2014 21:27

Fee mine measured 5 days earlier than my dates, but I think with the size of the beans at the moment they might not get an exact, the women who did ours struggled to get an accurate measurement.
I hope your ok though x x

FriendofDorothy · 09/01/2014 22:16

I have my midwife booking in appointment tomorrow and I am still waiting for my scan date. I don't really have any options to have a private scan as I would have to go to the UK for it and that isn't really an option!

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 22:34

fee I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. It is possible to have full bleeds and be ok though - I know someone who had one at 13 weeks and when they had the scan a few days later everything was fine. Try not to worry and rest. Really hope you get good news on Wednesday - it sounds like you're due some x

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 22:34

Not Wednesday! Monday. Sorry...

babyspice2501 · 10/01/2014 07:41

Awwww fee :( lifes so shit sometimes. Keep your head high, we all have our fingers and toes crossed for you

Lucyfluff how are you feeling today?

It seems like forever for my scan I havent even been given a date yet. Im only 6+4 and booking on monday so im guessing my scan wont be till feb!!

babyspice2501 · 10/01/2014 07:47

Ah lucy the last time you saw your bean it was tucked away in its santa sack wasnt it? Awwwww!

2beornot · 10/01/2014 08:32

Fee - hope you manage to rest/relax this weekend. Hopefully you'll get a positive can on Monday too. X

CountdownBegins · 10/01/2014 08:36

This thread moves fast- we are a chatty bunch! So nice to know we are all going through the same excitedness/sickness/worrry etc at the sane time, it keeps me sane knowing you are all here.

Fee hope you are feeling better today?

Good luck Lucy and anyone else with scans today.

Feelingfatty · 10/01/2014 08:36

My scan is now tomorrow...can't believe it! I know it's not the 12 week one but I'm just really hoping that alls okay and it gives me some reassurance!

I felt so poorly yesterday so hoping for a little let up today....although last night my dd (nearly 3) told me night, night and love you to the moon (something we say to her but she's never said back) was so special and in my pregnant state I could have cried! Makes it all seem worth while!!
