9 weeks today/tomorrow : ) but heck i feel so poorly today... serious nausea but no actual sickness, complete exhaustion to the point of barely being able to move... my worst day yet, i think.

can anyone 9+ offer any hope?? i have no idea how i'm going to get through this week if it continues : (

BunnyBaby · 19/01/2014 20:10

Sleepy, I'm the same, just want to curl up, I do remember it easing much more at 14 weeks, I felt I had to explain tonight to DS1 & DS2 that there is a baby in mummy's tummy and it makes her so tired, and a little sick, but it won't be forever, and in a few weeks, Mummy won't feel as bad. Just keep feeling so much queasier than I ever remember with both boys. It's awful as I get so tired I'm ready for bed at 9pm, and unless I head off then, I go beyond it, and then struggle to sleep.

Secretlypregnant · 19/01/2014 20:12

Sleepy, I am 11+4 and I mostly felt a lot less tired this week. And I remember it easing up after 13 weeks last time.

jazzyjenbo · 19/01/2014 20:14

Tbh sleepy i dont really think about it as I didnt know until ds was born and they didnt dwell on the loss so i never have. Its just when ppl say things like i want twins or even bet ur glad ur ds wasnt a twin (hes a very energetic 3 yr old) that i think well actually he was ment to be!!
Thanks for the support ladies, nice being able to talk to ppl as dont want to chew my friends ears off!! Lol
I'll let u know how it all goes tomorrow x x

FriendofDorothy · 19/01/2014 20:24

I had a bad bleed at 8 weeks last time and I am convinced I lost a twin.

My tiredness seems to have eased off a bit at the moment.

I will be relieved when I get to my 12 week scan and even more relieved when my 20 week scan is over and all ok.

PinaColadas · 19/01/2014 20:38

Yes I always assumed 12 weeks was a safe point but sounds like you can't really relax at all, wondering if we should keep it quiet til 20 if we can now Confused

PinaColadas · 19/01/2014 20:40

Aw jazzy just seen your post! sorry to hear you're worried! will be thinking about you tomorrow but I'm sure all will be fine fx

jammyjay · 19/01/2014 20:55

Hello Everyone,

I'm fairly new here and I am so happy there are ladies out there in the same boat as me. I am 10 weeks on Tuesday, this is my first and I am terrified! But it is reassuring to know I am not alone.
I'll be in touch again soon Smile

wejammin · 19/01/2014 21:06

no experience of spotting jazzy, but sending hugs xx

We use cloth nappies for ds, have done from birth, and love them. We use bumgenius v4 in the day and totsbots babamboozles at night. will need a few more for this baby and thinking of little lamb, heard good things about them.

It's my scan on Thursday and time is going sooooo slowly!

travispickles · 19/01/2014 21:08

Sorry, I don't want to alarm people ! The chances of anything being wrong are tiny. I am naturally pessimistic though so hearing bad news confirms my gloomy outlook. Ignore me!! I will be telling people next week after my scan, although an having nuchal and triple test so will have some idea if anything up then I suppose.
11 wks tomorrow! Starting to feel a bit more real now.
Good luck tomorrow jazzy

Secretlypregnant · 19/01/2014 21:32

Wejammin we use Bamboozles too and also have a couple of the Bumgenius V4, which have always been great. Just to give some alternative feedback - we didn't get on with the Little Lambs at all. We had them when DD was a few weeks old and they always seemed to leak.

Lissbug/Shakshuka I am thinking about having the Harmony test whatever the NHS result is. Are you both going to the FMC? I am just wondering how much in advance you have to book.

MrsGarlic · 19/01/2014 22:13

On the cloth nappy side of things, we use Bumgenius Freetimes mostly along with some eBay cheapy pocket nappies (Alvababy are the favourites). We don't have a tumble drier but they dry quickly and we have a Lakeland heated airer for the really cold or damp days. Use Bamboozles with Blueberry wraps for night times. The Freetimes are the easiest for his nursery to deal with, I'm just sending a bag with them all made up with the fleece liners already in and then they can just put them on him like a disposable and put the used nappies into another bag. Love our cloth nappies and we can use them for this new baby too. I have bought some Pampers in micro size and in size 1 though for the early days (my first baby was quite small and the micro ones fitted him best even though he was technically too big for them), then I'm thinking of getting some Teenyfits but I want to wait and find out the baby's sex first. With no.1 we didn't start cloth until he was over 8lbs so he went straight into the birth-to-potty nappies.

mssleepyhead · 19/01/2014 22:17

Loving all of this cloth nappy advice! I'm very inspired and motivated to do it now - thank you ladies!

BunnyBaby · 19/01/2014 22:22

Yes, we just got 10 of the new borns and washed them like mad, and 30 of the bigger size. The big ones were meant to be ok from birth, but DS1 resembled the Christmas Turkey in them, they were so big, with his little legs poking out, so we quickly bought the minimum of the smaller size and he was in the bigger ones from 3 months onwards.

I loved pegging them out in the summer, very twee, as they all flapped away on the line

Lynnieboo · 19/01/2014 23:37

Hi Jazzy.

I just wanted to tell you that I have had a lot of spotting/bleeding and on Tuesday past I had a scan at the EPU. When they did the internal investigations and swabbing they saw that I had a cervical ectropian. This is when some of the inner cervical cells are found on the outer cervix. Seemingly....its common. Now that I know what the blood is I don't panic every time I see some (mostly I don't) and the doc said only to worry and see someone if its heavy and comes with pain. I saw baby and it was active and had a strong heartbeat.
Since I had my bits invaded with speculum, swabs and scans, I seem to be bleeding a little more often and its triggered by BM, coughing and it seems even extreme laughter. My ectropian is annoyingly sensitive.

I used to think how lucky I was having no MS but this constant blood (mostly its pale pink) when I wipe is driving me crazy.... I just want to enjoy being pregnant Sad

I hope everything goes well at your scan. We have the same due datesGrin yay.

Feelingfatty · 20/01/2014 08:09

Good luck today jazzy!

Feelingfatty · 20/01/2014 08:29

Found it very difficult to get up when alarm went off this morning! So tempting just to stay in bed as dd wasn't even awake and only getting up to get ready for the gym....so tempting Wink

Missvaughan85 · 20/01/2014 08:46

Can I ask a slight personal question to you ladies, you ladies that are having blood tests etc for any further problems that there might be is it because of age or just peace of mind?? I haven't really given it a thought.
I think I'm just more worried about the actual 12 week scan, more than anything. Sorry if it was a bit personal. X x

flymo79 · 20/01/2014 08:56

Good luck today Jazzy.
got 12w scan tomorrow, eeeek, am really preoccupied and can't do any work today! any other scans (other than Pina's on Weds, wejammin on thurs)?

Good luck, Jazzy (and hi!).

Fatty, I know how you feel (though I finally slept vaguely well, bar loo visits, last night). But DD has a hospital appointment this morning, so we've had to get up.

Feeling quite sick today. Yay!!

Feelingfatty · 20/01/2014 10:15

Hungry my loo visits are out of control! 4 or so a night! Ridiculous, but am I right in remembering they calm down second trimester then worse 3rd or am I wishful thinking! Hope hospital appointment goes well! Dd has school later so I have two hours to clean in peace!! Grin

flymo79 · 20/01/2014 10:23

feeling a bit crampy today which is a worry. had the same yesterday morning but it died down... hoping this just goes away! Is worryingly AF-like.

WeeJo08 · 20/01/2014 10:29

Happy Monday everyone! Welcome Jazzy - hope everything goes well today. I had bleeding too and had an early scan and saw baby and heartbeat - obviously it's still worrying but trying to be positive! I have scan and booking in appointment tomorrow.

Feeling rather yuck this morning - tired, sicky, achey, headache-y and sore throat Sad Just perfect for a Monday!

Re: tests, I found out a few days ago that the combined test is not offered here (we're in NI). I'm not sure why, potentially because abortion is illegal? There's the quadruple test at 16 weeks, which isn't apparently as reliable. You can go private for the combined test, not sure what we'll do! DH and I have talked it over but we're still not sure.

londonchick · 20/01/2014 11:12

My nighttime loo visits are out of control too!! I went 6 times last night!! DH was getting a bit annoyed I think!!

I have a swelling in my gum too between my front 2 teeth. A quick google shows it can be pregnancy hormone related as your body doesn't deal with plaque as well! How weird! Painful and annoying but also weirdly reassuring that it's a symptom. Will need to see the dentist but I need my sickness and retching to improve a but first or she won't even get to look in my mouth!!

Booking in tomorrow. Yey!

miserywaterfall · 20/01/2014 11:21

Flymo got my 12 week scan tomorrow too!

I also had crampy AF like pains all last week but I am guessing it's just things stretching around in there as this is my first pregnancy.
