My hair keeps falling out luckily I have a mass of bushy curls so don't mind losing some although it's clogging up the drain, not pleasant!

Yesterday all my colleagues decided I'm obviously pregnant as I look so tired! Hopefully this improves soon as I'm really struggling to do normal things, seems like working 12.5 hour days takes all my energy and my days off are spent on the sofa!

2beornot · 14/01/2014 18:21

No, no scan yet. I felt it wouldn't be as reassuring as i'd need. 10 weeks is too soon - with my last of my original scan was 12+0 which I couldn't make but they would only put it back, not bring it forward!

I'd absolutely love twins but one happy healthy baby is all
I'm after!!

mssleepyhead · 14/01/2014 19:05

Gosh! 12 week scans already! Mines booked for 13 weeks and isn't until 17 Feb, which basically feels like a lifetime away, even though it's only a few weeks. Getting hard not talking about it at work now as plans are starting to be made for next year already. Hard keeping my head down and not saying - oh no! I can't teach that! I won't be here! Also wish I could tell the kids so some of them would cut me some slack! Although I think some of the smarter ones are starting to figure it out from my permanently undone trouser button...
Good luck to those getting scanned tomorrow!

eeyore2911 · 14/01/2014 19:10

Hungry - I'm fine tbh, had a couple of queasy days and been tired every now and again but I did do a 75 hour week so can't be too surprised by that really lol!! It's been pretty running as normal for me up till now but I imagine if you ask me in a few months you might get a different answer!!!! Shock

mssleepyhead · 14/01/2014 19:18

Ps. Stabby pains in my abdomen today, on either side but I think especially the side baby might be on. Worrying! Or just, I don't know, growing?

LakeOfDreams · 14/01/2014 19:27

Anyone else feeling faint? I might have overdone it at work but the whole day today I've felt like I'm going to pass out every time I've done anything that involves standing for more than a minute. Really annoying!

travispickles · 14/01/2014 19:27

Have done a 12 hour day today and have a grim cold. Thank goodness tomorrow is my day off. Glad to hear the scans happening, fx for happy results all round!

CountdownBegins · 14/01/2014 19:46

Lake I keep feeling dizzy when I stand up- i put it down to the sickness and neaseau but trying to up my water intake and eat more fruit in small portions. Not sure if it will help!

Regarding twins I asked the lady doing the scan last week to check for a hiding bean as there are ALOT of non-ID twins in my family- she said she thinks its only one... Would of liked a 100% answer ha!

Tc80 · 14/01/2014 19:55

Hi all hope you are all feeling ok this evening :) I called midwives yesterday after spotting started again on sat and they booked me in for a scan first thing this morning. Thankfully all fine on the scan. Spotting totally unexplained and whilst not normal is very common (midwife actually said with the increase in blood happening inside I'm surprised more women don't bleed - strangely reassuring). Hope this is helpful to people feeling a bit anxious - especially as I was worried as boobs not as sore, deep inside cramps (stretching? I wouldn't know!), symptoms not as bad. Perhaps at this stage our bodies are getting a bit more used to the hormones?

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 19:59

Eeyore, how you're doing 75 hours a week I don't know (though it's great that you can to improve your mat pay).

You've not reassured me about twins though. Hmmm!

Travis, I don't envy you your 12 hour days either.

I'm scared of sneezing as the round ligament pains are grim. Only 30 weeks to go!

PinaColadas · 14/01/2014 20:02

Has anyone got a noticeable bump yet? I'm a bit paranoid, already been told by friends and family that know that I'm massive, couple have said its twins. I have a really visible bump! They would have seen twins at our scan at 9 weeks, plus we heard the heartbeat. I'm overweight but I took before pic and I've lost 4lbs from being sicky so don't know what to make of it all...

Jenbee1 · 14/01/2014 20:12

Damn, had to tell my first lie today. When I was asked if I was going to stick around for the end of the project I nodded and said of course. Feel a bit guilty but they have plenty of time to replace me.
I haven't seen bean yet, scan is a week on Thursday so I'll be 11+5.
And just to make things a bit tougher we've just accepted an offer on our house so will be looking to move, probably twice, before August.

mszeenwithabean · 14/01/2014 20:14

pina - if it helps ive lost 2lb from morning sickness and general 'omg I can't eat that-ness' and my bump is very visible.. and I wasn't a slender Brenda before falling pregnant. Smile

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 20:23

I'm bloody massive already! I've taken to hiding from anyone who doesn't know so they don't guess.

Separated abs, still carrying baby weight plus second baby mean obvious bloody pregnancy.

Combine this with my ever increasing boobs and you have the world's worst secret!

PinaColadas · 14/01/2014 20:29

Haha Hungry :)
It's first baby for me, I've literally no excuse. Guess I better start getting used to people telling me I'm massive.
mrszeen glad it's not just me

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 20:54

Tc80 great news :)

Bump...I don't think mine is coming at all really yet. The lower part of my abdomen is definitely rounder but doesn't look like a bump just bloat and chub :) my friends (two who know) have said I don't look pregnant at all infant think I look smaller...how bizarre! Tbh I didn't really start to show until 20 weeks with dd so not expecting anything to soon! I'm a size 10-12 normally so not small not big so don't know if that helps hide it?!

FriendofDorothy · 14/01/2014 20:57

I just look fat.

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 21:03

I'm sure you don't friend of Dorothy!!

Tc80 · 14/01/2014 21:10

I look all thick and bloated with no waist so just feel like a barrel with massive tits. Sponge bob square pants

FriendofDorothy · 14/01/2014 21:20

Nope I am. Giganticus!

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 21:23

Everyone thinks they look worse than they do Smile

PinaColadas · 14/01/2014 21:40

I sent my mum a pic earlier and had cut my face out because I looked rank, and she did to believe it was me ha

lucyfluff · 14/01/2014 21:47

Grin Friend...you made me laugh!!!

Shakshuka · 14/01/2014 21:56

Also can't do up my favourite skinny jeans!

I lost a stone before I got pregnant doing the 5:2 diet which is really lucky considering the speed with which I'm piling on the pounds with my constant nausea avoiding eating!!

I remember when I was about 10 weeks pregnant with #2, someone asked me if I'm pregnant. I was shocked and asked her how she knew. And she said that I was getting very thick around the waist. So if it happened like that with #2, I bet it's noticeable now with #3! On the other hand, I was younger and slimmer then so it was probably more obvious than the all round middle-age spread which I have now :)

mssleepyhead · 14/01/2014 22:25

Only 8 weeks and I can't do up my jeans comfortably! Sharp pains are getting worse on my left side, only really stop when I put my hand against the skin. Nervous because I think it's where baby is. Anyone getting/got anything similar? They're short pains, a bit stabby...
