Sat on my haircutting chair in work today and the girl I work with said I look pregnant. There's really no hiding it now. Clients give me a knowing look but no one has asked yet.

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 14:40

Thanks everyone! How exciting eeyore good luck!!

I'm all booked in, scan is 10th fen so I'll be 12+4. So 3 weeks on Monday, seems like so long away but hoping it goes quickly!!

No work as I'm a sahm luckily!! Smile

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 14:45

Oh and forgot to answer no idea why I had the old blood, midwife thinks old implantation bleed.

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 14:57

Yay...all going to plan now, Fatty.

Maybe it was a dislodged scab, kind of thing? Sounds grim, doesn't it?!?!

And good lunch tomorrow, Eeyore. :-) How are you feeling carrying two?

eeyore2911 · 14/01/2014 15:07

Got my date from the hospital (I phoned up!) Next Tuesday (21st) at 2:30pm. It's quite early but I'm sure they know what's what!

flymo79 · 14/01/2014 15:20

Eek very exciting! I'll finally have the courage to join the facebook group then! Mines next Wednesday at 3.30

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 15:41

So many scans coming up!! :-)

It's very exciting. Can't wait for mine now.

Cracking headache today. Had to take teething (first tooth just popping through) DD for a walk in her pram so she would sleep earlier. God, it half killed me!

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 16:13

How far along will you be weejo, anything from 11-14 weeks is fine Smile

I'm very jealous Envy of all the scans next week but feeling lucky I've seen my bean twice already and just need to get on with it and wait for mine!!! Grin I'm sure these weeks will eventually crawl by!!

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 16:14

Oh and hungry have you tried forehead to help with your headache??

2beornot · 14/01/2014 16:19

Can't wait for all the 12 week scans to start happening, especially mine Grin. I can finally come clean to everyone and join the Facebook too!

ignoring the fact I have to tell new boss too

WeeJo08 · 14/01/2014 16:28

I'll only be 10 weeks when it's done...that's why I thought it was kind of early?!

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 16:29

Forehead? No, not tried anything except rest / fluids / food yet.

2be, you've not had any scans yet, have you? Feels like I'm almost the only one who hasn't seen baby already!

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 16:30

10 weeks is too early for screening. Can't remember if you said you wanted it? They may call you back a week or so after to do you again!

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 16:34

It's called 4head, it's a stick you put across your forehead (like a lipstick) I find it does take the edge off and it's suitable for pregnancy Smile

Oh 10 weeks is quite early have you seen bean yet I can't keep up! Because obviously you could be earlier still (or later) I thought scans were supposed to be 11-14, ask your midwife??

Ruggle · 14/01/2014 16:37

When's yours Horace? Mine's on the 30th. 12 weeks exactly (I think). I didn't want an early one, though still not convinced there's anyone in there.

Shakshuka · 14/01/2014 16:37

hungry
there doesn't seem to be any standard protocol here. It's all down to the individual health-care provider which can vary from very crunchy homebirth midwives who don't believe in scans and screening or almost any intervention to full on, c-section at the slightest whiff of a problem ob-gyns (which I think is what I've got!!). I always find myself going to the NHS or NICE guidelines to find the middle of the road approach!

WeeJo08 · 14/01/2014 16:38

Hungry and Feeling That's what I thought too! With DD I wasn't scanned until 12+5. I would be going for the tests, yes. I have had a scan already (at just shy of 7 weeks.) Because booking in and scan are all done at 1 appointment here I don't yet have a midwife to ask!! Confused

Feelingfatty · 14/01/2014 16:41

Hmmm if ring hospital back and explain your concerns that perhaps they've mixed your dates up, they'll soon explain if it's fine or rebook if they've messed up!! Smile

AntoinetteCosway · 14/01/2014 16:45

Hungry I haven't had a scan yet either Smile

In fact when I read Eeyore's post about twins I had a sudden moment of, 'oh my god, I could be having twins and just not know yet!'

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 16:52

Ruggle, it's 27th at 11+4 (unless by some fluke I did get pregnant during the WTF cycle and it just hid from the tests, in which case I'd be 15+4. If only!).

How confusing, Shak! You'd expect there to be a standard protocol in a country like the US. I'm shocked!

Fatty, I'll have to look for that. Sounds like it could be helpful. I think I've seen it somewhere actually.

Jo, I'd ring them too as that does sound wrong. You'll only have to go back for another scan for screening.

Antoinette, I had that feeling too, but my lack of sickness makes me think I'm having a solo baby. Hurrah! :-)

Ruggle · 14/01/2014 16:59

I haven't even contemplated the possibility of twins. More concerned that there's actually even one, never mind two in there. However, I have been horribly sick, and fraternal twins run in my family (several sets of boy/girl). I suspect if there were two then my belly would be bigger than it is. I just have my normal bloaty belly but just a bit more rounded than usual.

lucyfluff · 14/01/2014 17:18

Talking of bellies...I cant even do my skinny jeans up today...what is that about?! Maybe I jinxed myself by saying to DH I cant wait to wear my next maternity leggings lol!!

Jo - I would def ring to check as they prob cant check baby fully that early Smile

lucyfluff · 14/01/2014 17:20
