I do Travis and I did last time as well. It's bloody annoying and is much worse at night. I have quite a few nose bleeds too. Eugh.

BunnyBaby · 11/01/2014 16:14

I have stuffed nose too.

Good news - baby arrived safe and well, was just a little [hmmm] that DB informed whole family with general text that also went to whole world (1hr after baby arrived). That's fine for me as DSIS, but I thought he may have called my parents to tell them the news. My parents were really worried EMCS was taking 2hrs. I suppose it's each to their own, but DH always phoned whole immediate family on both sides when DS1 & DS2 appeared. Sadly we have a difficult relationship with SIL who's tried to cut DB off from us at any opportunity. Sadly DB is so different to his old self now, and just does whatever will keep her happy. Just hope PND doesn't kick in now. Sorry to be so gloomy, tried to call DB to congratulate but no response, which I can also understand. Someone give me a prod to cheer up. Should be so happy today.

Antoinette try Bravisimo, they stock large sizes and do a few pretty maternity and feeding bras. Not the cheapest in the world but good quality.
Re dv. Our hosp has a great system, every time you visit you have to go to the loo and provide a fresh sample and they tell you to leave it on the shelf in there. There's notices all over the loo telling you to put a little sticker on the pot if there's anything you want to discuss in private and they'll know to get you on your own to talk about it.
bunnybaby congrat on your new dn. Don't worry about being gloomy, it's an emotional day and emotions can come out in all sorts of strange ways! Have a cheery prob

NameToBeDecided · 11/01/2014 16:48

Prob prod of course Blush

FriendofDorothy · 11/01/2014 16:53

The DV question is a normal question they ask on booking in these days.

LakeOfDreams · 11/01/2014 17:38

Scan was fine DH made it despite his hunger!! Baby measuring 9+1 (should be 8+6) so pretty much bang on. Heart rate 160 and looked like it was doing back flips. Hopefully keep me going until 12 week scan.

HungryHorace · 11/01/2014 17:46

I'm glad your DH saw sense, Lake! :-)

Excellent news re the scan too. I'm very jealous of all of your scans now, but as my NHS one is in 16 days it seems daft to pay for one now!

londonchick · 11/01/2014 17:54

Anyone else getting horrific headaches? I'm 9+4 now and most evenings my head feels as though it will explode!! Drinking lots but making me wee lots!! Annoying!!

Loving all the scans ladies. 9 days till my booking in and 22 days till my scan!!! Absolutely ages!!

travispickles · 11/01/2014 17:54

Me too! Mine is on 27th which is dd's 3rd birthday. She will be just over 31/2 when baby born which is ideal IMO

travispickles · 11/01/2014 17:55

Not 31 by the way!

HungryHorace · 11/01/2014 18:17

That would be a gap, Travis! :-)

What time is your scan? Mine is 11am on 27th.

Is your DD excited about her birthday?

travispickles · 11/01/2014 18:50

Mine is at 10 :-) so I shan't be in work all morning. Hurray! Yes my dd is excited although she thinks it is still Christmas so no doubt will still think its her bday in march!

babyspice2501 · 11/01/2014 18:51

Feeling and lake yaay on your scans! Feeling abit jealous over here!

WeeJo08 · 11/01/2014 19:11

Yay on the scans! Grin Hopefully I'll get my letter next week - I'm almost 9 weeks so I'm hoping I'll get it soon! Booking in & scan all done together here which is a change for me! DD was born when we lived in London & it was done separately. Londonchick Whereabouts in London are you? We were in Muswell Hill, North London & had DD in the Whittington. It was great.

2beornot · 11/01/2014 19:43

Evening all!

Been a manic day and I'm shattered now. Dd was 3 today so we were up early opening pressies, then off to her party (19 toddlers!), a fight to get her to nap (2hours before she eventually gave in but she was knackered!). Now we've got friends down til tomorrow night for a fake Christmas!!! I think I'll be in bed as soon as they go!!

Glad of the good news from the scans. 12 days to go!

travispickles · 11/01/2014 20:41

Sick of the food thing. You feel sick-hungry, rack your brains for the perfect thing, eventually find it, buy it, cook it, eat it, feel sick and even the thought of ever eating that food again makes you feel horrible.... And the cycle starts again.
Or is that just me?

BunnyBaby · 11/01/2014 20:44

Yay great news on all the scans!

Headachey too, I think my sinuses are so blocked with extra blood vessels it's like summer hay fever almost.

Well done on managing 3yr old birthdays! Ours was last week, glad to get them done as DS1 just before Christmas.

Also, thank you for happy prod. I got so worried at EMCS as mine ended up with PPH, so no news had us so worried SIL & baby were ok, especially as 2hrs before had text saying EMCS and pray all well, so relieved DN ok and our DCs will see him next weekend ( opposite ends of country).

Hope all DH/DPs behaving, mine out for cat food and ice cream. No weird cravings, have a hungry moggy here who will hunt if no food forthcoming.

Abimci · 11/01/2014 21:03

Yes Travis you've summed up exactly how I feel today. I can't stand constantly feeling hungry and sick at the same time. If I manage a slice of toast it eases for an hour then it's back.

Also been getting headaches and blocked up too. Thought I'd picked up a cold st school - didn't realise this comes with being pregnant. Wow, no one told me how much fun this was going to be. Excuse me, just feeling a bit sorry for myself today!

LakeOfDreams · 11/01/2014 21:31

Ah Travis you summed up perfectly what my life is like. I don't fancy anything, spend ages making something that looks awesome normally I'd shovel down the lot and now I just kind of look at it, force myself to eat a bit and then feel sick! After all that about half an hour later I feel hungry again. Just put most of my dinner in a pot to take to work for my day shift tomorrow!

Ruggle · 11/01/2014 22:00

I'm feeling really crampy today. More than "mild" cramps. Getting worried again as nobody else seems to mention being really crampy anymore. I'm used to severe period pain and it's not as bad as that, so far, but have been feeling sick (vommed earlier) and exhausted all day and boobs still sore....so hoping it's just stretchibg pains. Anyone else been very crampy?

Tc80 · 11/01/2014 22:00

Hi all glad everyone is gearing up for scans - nearly at the 12 weeks for most :)
Just looking for a bit of reassurance/ advice - had brown spotting 5+2 to 7+2 early scan at 6 weeks heartbeat seen. Hideous ms from week 6 - 9, then this week symptoms just seem to have gone - sickness, appetite back a bit, boobs not quite so sore. Today deep inside cramps, think the brown spotting is back. Feel like I can't be lucky a second time and the emotional roller coaster is awful - flitting between hope and despair, thinking if it's all over why can't it just get on with it, and then feel guilty for thinking that. Aaarrrgghhhhh! Any advice welcome :) I'm 10 weeks on Monday

lucyfluff · 11/01/2014 22:11

Ruggle Ive been very crampy today Sad have an odd pain left hand side down low almost on top of leg ?!? Im putting it all down to stretching. I hope!

We will stay positive together Grin

Ruggle · 11/01/2014 22:20

Lucy,

Are your cramps like period pain? I have left-sided pain as well, though it's a pulled muscle from retching.
I seem to get stronger cramps when I need a poop...which I guess is to do with lack of space or change of shape in there....though I'd have thought this would still be minimal at 9 weeks. How far along are you?

Shakshuka · 12/01/2014 03:27

ruggle

could it be that if you have a tendency to severe period pain, maybe you're more sensitive than average to changes in your uterus? it might explain why you feel more crampy than others? are the cramps worse than your usual period pains? I've been a bit crampy but it's more in my lower back - also if I need to go to the loo!

BunnyBaby · 12/01/2014 07:35

Ruggle, I've always had the stretching in all pregnancies, coupled with round ligament pain. I put it down to uterus stretching and pushing other organs around. I also feel it more when BM on its way.

My symptoms are different on odd days too, do not panic. huge hormonal changes.

Also feel blocked nose is nasty cold now, so tired. DCs up at 6 - yawn
