Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had booking in appt today. Declined nuchal fold screening, as I wouldn't have a terminations if there were any problems anyway. I am sure if there are concerns they will be picked up on the scans anyway.

babyspice2501 · 10/01/2014 19:38

Oh fee :( sorry to hear that and think its great how you are handling it all. Make sure you relax over the weekend and fx for monday for you

travispickles · 10/01/2014 19:41

Sorry to hear things not going well Fee. Fx for you.

WeeJo08 · 10/01/2014 19:46

Hope you're okay, Fee. We're here xx

FEEdec · 10/01/2014 19:54

I'm strangely calm about it all and not feeling too sad. Although I expect that will come later. I see it as this is happening for a reason and it's not meant to be. If I didn't already have my little boy I think I'd be more distraught but as it is I feel so thankful and lucky that we've got him so any other children would just be an added blessing. Many people we know, including very dear friends have tried desperately to have children and it's not happened to them.

Job wise, my contract is till the end of October so they are just not renewing it so not a lot I can do about that. Although at least I've got some notice to start looking elsewhere (I just love my cushy 'work at home in my slobby clothes' lifestyle. I'm going to have to get a proper job - boo!)

Thank you all for your kind support. I may stay away from the thread from now unless I have some good news on Monday as I don't want to bring you all down and I think hearing about other people miscarriages when pregnant is just terrifying so want to wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies xxx

Abimci · 10/01/2014 19:58

Sorry to hear that Fee. Hoping for the best for you and hope you've got lots of support right now. Best of luck xx

2beornot · 10/01/2014 20:06

In case you're still lurking FEE.......

I'm so sorry you may be going through a miscarriage. If you need support, the miscarriage board here is fab, or pm me.

Take care x

Toothygrin · 10/01/2014 20:21

Fee - so sorry. Take care of yourself.

BunnyBaby · 10/01/2014 22:21

Fee, so sorry to hear that the bleeding is still there, just echo what the others say about the EPU, fingers crossed there is still hope. Others have mentioned people experiencing clots and still seeing baby there. I can also say that the MC boards are amazing if you do find yourself there, though I am really still hoping baby is still there.

There may be a reason if it wasn't to be, and I couldn't have had my MMC baby, and my DS2. I remember the EPU saying to me after MMC, you'll be back in a year with a new baby, and although it seemed hard to believe, they were completely correct. So the way I see it, either this LO will be OK, or you'll like me have a DC in arms within a year (with an extra angel watching over them - who I still think of now).

Please let us know how you get on xxx

mszeenwithabean · 11/01/2014 08:35

mszeenwithabean · 11/01/2014 08:41

Nulanoo · 11/01/2014 09:19

Hello ladies :)

Wow lots to catch up on I hope everyone is ok it sounds like some of you are going through a hard time so my fingers are crossed for you. I'm 11+4 today scan on Friday. Being at work has totally worn me out especially as I started a new job! Monday I had horrendous sickness but I'm wondering if it was a bit of nerves too. Told work now and they seemed ok about it all! I'm having bleeding after I go to the loo sorry this is way tmi but it's after I have to poo (aaahh the shame of admitting this!!!) it was quite bright red but I'm
Sure it was from there not the front is that ok or something to worry about?

HungryHorace · 11/01/2014 09:29

Nulanoo, is your bum sore too? Piles / fissures are quite common in pregnancy as you have to try a little harder to poo quite often due to the constipation.

Basically, the progesterone slows your system so your body retains as many nutrients from the food / waste as possible. This removes moisture from the poo and it's harder to expel, causing piles / fissures. Are you taking any stool softener like lactulose?

If you're worried I'd get it looked at, but it can be standard in pregnancy. In fact, when I had my first bleed at 20 weeks the midwife asked if I was sure it wasn't from my bum!

I can't quite believe I'm having this conversation, but I hope it was helpful! :-)

Feelingfatty · 11/01/2014 09:38

Hope everyone is going okay!

Scan day today, can't help running through every scenario in my head! Really hope it's a positive result! My husband can't see why I'm nervous said we should just be excited, wish I could be so optimistic all the time, anyway not long to wait now! Lunchtime and we'll know how things are going Smile

babyspice2501 · 11/01/2014 09:48

Good luck with your scan feelingfatty!!!

babyspice2501 · 11/01/2014 09:48

I had a horrible dream last night that I miscarried. Hope it dont come true!

Feelingfatty · 11/01/2014 09:53

Ah thanks Baby spice Smile

I have been having VERY strange dreams that definitely won't come true so I wouldn't worry Smile

Abimci · 11/01/2014 09:55

I had a weird dream that we got a print out of the baby's chromosome's (which doesn't even make sense!) and there were loads missing on my husband's side so then I was really cross with him! How strange!

Feeling good luck with your scan and enjoy it.

HungryHorace · 11/01/2014 10:15

Good luck fatty!

I've had bizarre dreams too, and they really won't come true! Last night's might though as it was about my SiL who I can't stand. But other than that they won't. :-)

Nulanoo · 11/01/2014 10:17

Can't believe I'm talking about it either but thanks hungry :) my dp doesn't think it's anything to worry about. Can't believe I had that conversation with him either!

babyspice2501 · 11/01/2014 10:18

Ive been having weird dreams before I even found out I was pg! It was the dreams that made me suspect I might have been! Some of them have come true lol thats why im paranoid about this one. Sometimes I think I have a psychic baby in here! Haha!

Feeling I hope your right, I know its common to have strange dreams during pregnancy. I suppose especially if your already paranoid about things

BunnyBaby · 11/01/2014 10:55

Nulanoo - I had spotting after BM too and all was well, get it checked out if worried.

More scans today - very excited for you all!

My SIL went into labour in the early hours, so we're all very excited awaiting news, first cousin for my 2DSs - squee!

MsZeen - hello again, haven't seen you here in a while.

My MS is getting worse, actually tried to puke in sink when putting washing on, seems like a huge ramp up in hormones the last few days.

Have a lovely Saturday, sun shining down here.

mszeenwithabean · 11/01/2014 11:23

Good luck to all those getting a scan today Smile Smile

Hello Bunny been a difficult week glad it's the weekend and I can relax and catch up with mn Smile

Well was the first week back at work since the lovely nausea kicked in and boy did I struggle... smells that made me wretch and heave most of the day long and energy levels to the floor. Today I just want to plant myself to the sofa and not move.

On another note I'm going to be 10weeks on Monday and still have not heard from the hospital Hmm ... is that normal now? anyone else waited that long?

Abimci · 11/01/2014 11:50

I'm around 8+3 according to lmp and haven't heard from hospital yet either, not even for booking appt let alone first scan. It's annoying isn't it?! I also have to give work plenty of notice if I'm off being a teacher so just want some dates!

lucyfluff · 11/01/2014 12:04

Good luck fatty Grin Im sure all is fine!! Let us know how you get on.
