Yes glad you're ok panic - been wondering where you were. Long may it continue.

Vickyvix you were asking about natal hypnotherapy - I am doing hypnobirthing; so far just met with the course tutor (who is also a doula) and classes start in Feb, so don't have much to impart on it yet!
But like how involving it is of DP, in terms of the approach, and how it teaches you to have faith in the ability of your body to birth.

Also doing the NCT classes.

My scans on 22nd - think there are a few others on the same day?

superlambanana · 14/01/2014 23:36

I have a nasty feeling the red cabriofix is going to be on special offer everywhere now or that I would have preferred one of the new colours so I'm not even going to look!!

Lmf679 · 14/01/2014 23:45

mitchell2 yes, I think I know who you are. Will come and say hi next week

Riblet · 15/01/2014 05:40

Morning all, awake since 4 after another achey night's sleep - really need to get a proper pillow!

Great to hear that Panic, glad they could put your mind at rest and the bleeding has stopped.

All of this car seat stuff sounds pretty complicated - it's one of the few things DH has been actively researching with the car being the man domain and all that Wink We don't have the isofix points in ours and will be seatbelt fixed so will probably just leave them in all the time to save the faffing. Have seen some we like anyway in the Kiddicare sale so just need to order them. Also seem a buggy we like (the enormous one) on eBay near MIL so keeping an eye on that - was going to hang on til after they're born but if we can get it mega cheap and she can pick it up for us we may as well - will be worth it just for the carrycots if nothing else.

Right, may as well get up and make a cup of tea. Have a good day all!

Riblet · 15/01/2014 05:41

Eliza - meant to say scan is on 22nd too Smile

jaykay987 · 15/01/2014 05:53

I am happy to report, second class of yoga last night = second time sleeping through the night since getting BFP! I am so relieved last week wasn't a coincidence! Grin

jaykay987 · 15/01/2014 06:02

Right - I'm up to date again now!

Great news plate. FX it stays this way.

I am getting very jealous of

  • your exciting purchases
  • the celebrations of gender scans
  • people (potentially) meeting up!
GrinGrinGrinGrin

I feel I must go buy something to alleviate my jealousy! (I've promised DH we won't get gender scan, and I think it might take time to build up much chat in my yoga class which is my only current potential 'friend'-maker! I'm so sad!

Bumblebeesmum · 15/01/2014 06:15

Biffle if you're maternity cover was there a risk you could have lost job entirely? So is 16hrs good as well as bad news?

Panic great news I hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth

Jaykay don't worry lots of us (prob the majority) are scattered in isolated places & jealous. I hurt & ache all over so haven't even got the yoga though keep thinking I should force myself (plus it's expensive)

And to whoever said they were going to buy a board & a cheap double - I don't know why I didn't think of this before - great plan!

ohcluttergotme · 15/01/2014 06:38

Wow, best nights sleep in weeks and weeks! And ds is STILL sleeping!! :)

Biffle · 15/01/2014 07:11

Good to hear of those getting some decent sleep at last.

Bumble I was moved on an internal secondment so never any danger of losing my job entirely but I did know there was a chance of being put back down to 16 hours. Is sinking in a bit more now and think it will be for the best in the end but going to be a financial struggle. Luckily we have all the big baby items so that's a good thing.

BEEwitched · 15/01/2014 08:18

Panic, glad to hear things have settled down and that they're keeping a close eye on you! Hope that's it for now and you can thoroughly enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

I am waiting for the plumber to come and fix our heating. Between my splat yesterday, the grazed bits smarting and the cold I've had a rotten night's sleep, blargh.

The lady in the shop was quite nice, she was charging us £100 for the Cabriofix and said I could have the denim or black one, so when I asked for one of the new colours which are usually about £40 dearer I expected her to say no, but she said yes! And she's even home delivering it because she lives nearby, so I'm well chuffed.

But blimey, the pram and carrycot are enormous. They looked big but manageable in the shop! Shock

Liquidambar · 15/01/2014 08:19

Good news panic. it's also reassuring that you are being well looked after.

wispa did they check your placenta? is it in the front?

another bad night for me. grrr....Angry I'm so tired!

MarlenaGru · 15/01/2014 08:20

Excellent news panic really pleased it seems to all be coming together for you now. So stressful!

Excellent news on good sleep. I had another good night but have woken with a really sore back. I hope it is just temporary.

superlambanana · 15/01/2014 08:39

Another one with a rubbish night's sleep Sad Can't shake these vivid dreams so I wake up exhausted and stressed! Also now back in bed after I nearly brought my breakfast back up. Feel like I've taken a huge step back!

On the plus side I think I felt my first definite kick when I was lying in bed last night Grin

Riblet · 15/01/2014 09:19

That looks good Bee, although in the video did she get her baby out of the car boot?! Grin Looks nice and easy to unfold, and can see why it'd be good for the beach. Haven't looked at that brand before although looking it up it seems the duo is very similar to what we've been looking at so will check that out too, thanks.

Good news and envy on all the good sleeps and great about the kick super Smile

Just had an email from a colleague asking if we want a load of baby clothes - they are girls' but there's a decent chance there will be a girl in there somewhere so definitely worth having. We're doing well from people's generosity, makes me feel a bit emotional blames hormones

Bumblebeesmum · 15/01/2014 09:36

Riblet even if you don't have a girl if you have a baby that wets a lot in night like mine you won't care if the clean babygrow to hand is pink! Or if a TShirt under a jumper & coat in winter has flowers on it haha def take all you can get :)

BEEwitched · 15/01/2014 09:43

Riblet It's definitely a 'selling a lifestyle' video, but the pram does look fab and is super easy to steer - just wish I had the Land Rover to go along with it!

My cousin had a baby boy and was re-using her daughter's pink bodies at night, they only get wet and changed anyway!

wispaxmas · 15/01/2014 10:00

Liquid, I forgot to ask!! I need to write myself a reminder note for the next one in 3 weeks.

CleverOl10 · 15/01/2014 10:17

Morning all. Only just woke up (day off plus very kind dh!) Had the weirdest dream that my baby could talk and remember a previous life. Has totally creeped me out!

My 20 week scan is on 21st and I think it's dominating my thoughts! Wink

Riblet · 15/01/2014 11:50

That's true Bumble and Bee, and actually I suppose just because they are girls' doesn't necessarily mean they will all be pink.

Bee, I don't know why but it tickles me that even though English isn't your first language you use phrases like 'well chuffed' and 'blimey' Grin. I used to work with 4 German PhD students and they were always trying to 'learn Scouse' - one of got the accent down quite well!

BEEwitched · 15/01/2014 14:09

Riblet At our wedding last year (flip, 1st anniversary is in 2 1/2 weeks! Blush) I met most of DH's family for the first time and they all made fun of me because when we said our vows I sounded much more Northern Irish than him! He was born here but grew up in the subs of London...

wispaxmas · 15/01/2014 15:31

Yay, my mom just booked her flights for June. She arrives the evening of the 4th (EDD) and leaves just shy of three weeks later. Hopefully baby isn't too late or early and I get to make the most of having mom around to help. And if she gets to be too much she has been invited to stay at the in-laws' house as well Grin

MarlenaGru · 15/01/2014 16:11

Exciting wispa!
I am so relieved my mum will hopefully be living nearby by then as last time she turned up a week before I asked her to and stayed for 6 weeks. Of course she thinks she was so helpful but in reality the day she left I cried from relief. I wish it wasn't like that as I know she meant well.

BEEwitched · 15/01/2014 16:25

wispa That's fab! Mine's still sitting on the fence, though she probably just wants to get out of the wheelchair first before booking her flight. Doesn't mean I stop asking her whether she's booked yet on a regular basis :D
