Ding dong!

Hiya everyone, just popping in to say the scan went well. We found out the sex, but since we are not telling friends or family I won't post it on here just on the very slim chance that someone figures out who I am and goes internet stalking. I shared on the Facebook group, but it's secret, so left safer there.

Oh, but I get to go back in 3 weeks for a rescan of the heart, though the sonographer said it all looked fine, she just wanted a better look. Yay another scan!

Riblet clutter those are two of the most common pregnancy dreams apparently!!

Giving birth to animals is about fear of not knowing quite what to do with it - (my last pregnancy I dreams I gave birth to a hamster that I then dropped down the stairs!)
Ex's (& with all the hormonal changes etc loads of ppl have steamy ex dreams that they'd never in million years usually have or want) - is often reminiscing about being free, young, feeling attractive & in control.

So far lots of weird dreams for me but nothing v stereotypical. One I was with an enormous bunch of pregnant women in a hut (prob you lot haha) & there was a lion circling & hut was insecure & we were occasionally losing a person to him (gross). I was trying to convince the whole group to run as a pack to exit gates thinking we'd only lose 1 or 2 (I'm not usually so ruthless!!) but no one was buying it!! Now that is some sort of messed up! Haha :)

Was up 3-4 with severe headache & then toddler up from 5 so I'm already dying. Oh well looking forward to an early night!!

Anybody else get a really hard tummy some mornings?

I suspect it's wind related (as everything normally is!) but it makes it very difficult to move about. Was planning a nice walk this morning but instead I've stayed in bed, doing budgets!

Ladies who booked their NCT courses: have you received anything yet..? I've booked my signature course and NCT membership around Christmas but I haven't received anything apart from a confirmation email. I was expecting a membership card, perhaps? Or is this not how it works.. Someone enlighten me, please :)

sleepynesss yes, I received a membership card and confirmation letter through the post, I booked just before Xmas and my course is in May

wispa Glad to hear things went well, and you'll get to see baby again so that's good!

We're picking up our pram/stroller today, I'm glad DH is home as the heating broke last night and he's ringing around to find someone to fix it.

sleepy - I didnt become a member so no -membership card, and only have had an email confirmation re the course. Wasn't expecting more on that front.

lmf... so was at yoga last night but couldn't figure out which one you were. I was one of the late ones so didn't pick up on who else was a June date .

Sleepy- I got a membership card. I have probably lost it now though!

sleepy I have booked our NCT classes. I sent a booking request, they sent a link to confirm and pay, I then got an e-mail confirming payment and my place on the course - so I assume we just turn up to first class at time stated. But, like you, I have not received anything on membership yet, no card , no magazine etc. I also can't find anything on their website about how long that is supposed to take.

So, the Facebook group is secret? As in no one can see it at all except members of the group i.e. You lovely ladies........in which case I think I would like to join.

Is it lady that I need to contact? Can't remember

Mitchell where is your NCT class and the yoga? Promise I'm not trying to stalk you! I've looked at Yoga at the centre in Bethnal Green but can't decide, wondering what others are out there.

Vicky - that is rubbish. I have been a bit hit and miss with the badge but I do normally get something at some point. Have you tried standing on the middle of the long row of seats, undoing your coat and rubbing your tummy? That has done the trick for me before.

Red think I am going to have to try your approach. This morning I was right down between the rows and got nothing. I felt quite embarrassed after a while but the train was so busy I guess not many people saw my badge. I did stick my stomach out though - must still be in the looking fat rather than pregnant stage!!

lol - gin stalk all you want! The Yoga is in Stratford - it was LMF who put me onto it. The classes are on Monday nights 6.15 to 7.15. I think there is one space left for this lot (runs until 24th feb). Yoga Therapy London does it - there are also other classes times. Where it is held is actually really nice and I checked out their other classes - its called Stratford Circus and they do baby dance classes from 3 months - worth checking out for some post pregnancy activities!

The NCT I booked the one starting the 29th April at St Pauls Old Ford (south of the park near roman road market). Its a weekly one - goes until 26th May. There was a session before that but as I may still be travelling for work I selected the latest one I could.

I considered doing the ones in Bethnal green as the times were a bit better - I think they do weekend only ones but a) St Paul's is closer to me and b) my friend did hers there and met a really nice bunch who all lived in the surrounds of Vicky park (north and south).

Oh and the best thing I have found so far to do in the area when on Maternity leave Wine tasting with baby at Bottle Apostle Can you tell I am missing a good glass of Vino?!

Oh and gin - You could always do classes at Frame? Its in Shoreditch and they do a few different types - Frame Bumps, Pre-natal Pilates - its pay as you go and really great. I used to go a lot doing different classes but all the pregnancy ones are during the day at lunch time or just after work and I cant really make it up there from where I work but maybe an option for you?

Mitchell hahaha same NCT class! We need to confirm by the 17th.

We love bottle apostle - boyfriend keeps asking if we can go over there, don't think he's grasped that it makes me sad! Even though I'm having the occasional glass of something, wine gives me awful heartburn from the smallest of sips!

Thanks for the yoga tips, I'll check them out. There is a lady locally who does yoga but the only pregnancy one she does in on a Thursday morning in Lauriston or paying for a private session!

Oooh and Mitchell have you heard about Anchor & Hope? It's a boutique opening up on Roman Road on the 25th - specialising in 2nd hand maternity wear.

Sorry I haven't posted since before Xmas I was away for those few weeks and it has just taken me a week to catch up reading all the posts!
Glad everyone is doing well. Congratulations on all the 20 weeks scans so far! After a few more people have found out the gender we should compare old wives tales, see how accurate they are for us as a group!
My 20 week scan is Friday afternoon.
I have booked onto an NCT class as well. Just a confirmation email through so far and mine starts mid April for 6 weeks.

I think I might join this secret Facebook page too if that's OK! Will pm you wispaxmas if you don't mind?

Gin - yes I saw that on Sunday when I was wandering up the shops to get something. There is also quite a cool little cafe that has opened - its right down the other end near Parnell road on the left hand side. Was packed Sunday and the food looked nice.

Mitchell do you mean Muxima? They used to be on Fairfield rd, not been since they reopened but it's technically my local!

Not sure - never usually venture up that far
