My verrrrrry faint line earlier gives me an edd of 27 august so I'm going to straddle the two threads providing I get a strong bfp tomorrow (which I should do!!)

Oh yeah rare steak is totally fine if the outside of the steak is sealed in a hot pan. That's what my dad says anyway and he's one of those environmental health officers that inspect restaurants etc so he's always instilled good food hygiene into me lol.

I don't really like rare steak myself, usually have it well done. I feel like having scrambled eggs for tea! I swear our bodies are telling us what we need for the baby because last week all I wanted was salmon, now I want everything iron rich and meaty lol.

Hello! Can I join please?! Third pregnancy for me, have a three year old DS and miscarried my second when he was 10months. So hoping this one sticks! In the intervening period I have had lots of problems with arthritis and eventually had a Hip replacement last August (I am 34 not 84 btw!!). So all feels wonderful but quite scary, I feel like I have had my fill of hospitals and doctors in the last year or so..ah well...will be worth it:) terrible morning sickness from six weeks last time..hoping to bypass that this time, especially as I start back to work next week after six months off sick for the op! Would be nightmare to be back and be sick again - eek!

Anyway, we are very happy and it's lovely to see so many on this thread already. Congrats and good luck to us all! Oh, and EDD 7th September but will defo have a section so who knows exactly what date.

I spoke to my doc on the phone today and visited the surgery so I could and apply for my prescription fee exemption card and sign the midwife register. I had to decide today which area I would lkke to have the baby. All feels real but still very anxious.

Englishspotting is a symptom in many hwalthy pregnancies. Try to be kind to yourself and keep thinking positive as much as you can.

I'm nearly at 6 weeks now I think... I'm half expecting a big wave of nausea to hit me when the clock strikes midnight lol. Haven't felt too bad so far!

i have just found out im pregnant (eeeep) for the 2nd time I have a beautiful angel baby I lost in august this year. Not 100% sure how far along I am due to irregular periods but my doctor thinks im just hitting 4 weeks, still so early and im so so scared constatly poas and checking for blood! (im going nuts haha)

Hello dubai & natalie congrats on your BFP's so sorry to hear of your losses everything crossed for us all.

I've just been the docs & he's gone off my LMP date which dates me at 5wks EDD 30th Aug, but I'll stay here if that's ok, my cycles were really irregular & I know I ovulated late so I'm expecting my scan to put me sometime in Sept, we'll have to wait & see!! So excited! Don't know whether to call MW tomorrow or leave it till Thurs?

I find EDDs so confusing. If I go by my LMP then I am 5 weeks and 4 days but the nhs due date calculator says I'm 4 weeks and my due date is 3rd Sept. I'm looking forward to my first scan to give me some more concrete info lol

I'd call the midwives sooner rather than later, they'll be getting really busy with Christmas conceptions . My midwife mum has got me a form to fill in tonight (not sure what this form is... mysterious!) so I can have an appt arranged for in the next week or two.

And yes, fingers crossed for sticky beans! I've been so nervous I must have taken about a dozen tests. I have now run out sticks to pee on!

Question for you ladies: are many of you drinking tonic water (I've been drinking tonnes in a bid to throw people off the scent!) but I suddenly remembered it contains quinine and wasn't sure if that was advised??

Oh and to answer an earlier thread I'm 29, and this is pregnancy number one!

on other news i finally got a digi test this evening and its a BFP which i am glad about as with having no symptoms i was starting to doubt myself!!! :D
