Happy Christmas everyone!!!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/12/2013 18:12

Welcome bluehearted
And hubby thanks for that info....have spent the last few hours really worrying for some unknown reason!

Hubbythecatandme · 29/12/2013 18:25

Think we all worry about it to be honest but it s not helpful and won't stop it from happening if it has to so.... best to focus one day at a time I guess.
I am nervous about seeing GP too!

topmammy · 29/12/2013 18:35

I've just read in my pregnancy book that stress affects fetal development. I'm off to meditate in darkened room now!! Lol.

Hubby - was it you who mentioned about excessive drooling? Just read that extra saliva is a early pregnancy symptom called pytalism. Learn a new thing every day!

Hubbythecatandme · 29/12/2013 19:34

Lol topmammy!!! I read daily stress doesn't have a huge impact but things like a shock (death of a close relative etc) can lead to early birth...
I am constantly finding myself asleep dribbling on my sleeves or pillows so pytalism seems to be why then!!!
Had another day of feeling exhausted and needing a wee all the time sigh. I am so unproductive it is frustrating. I tidy and prepare for our mini break tomorrow then I have to lie down because I feel like I have run a marathon! My gym trainer is going to be shocked when he sees me next, might bring my duvet and pillow :s
Is your book Bumpology?

topmammy · 29/12/2013 19:44

Oh phew, because just in the nature of my job every day is non stop all the time so can be a bit stressful but not in the same way as a shock from bad news!

I am feeling a bit tired too, but restless at the same time, it's weird.

My book I am getting the random facts from such as pytalism is called The Day by Day Pregnancy book by Dr Maggie Blott. It's huge and could be used for weight lifting but is very informative and has pictures Smile

Hubbythecatandme · 29/12/2013 19:54

I am reading Bumpology (just got it on kindle), it seems very good too. I am tired during the day but restless at night, don't feel sleepy at all past 10pm.... go figure...

isitme1 · 29/12/2013 20:22

As far as i remember its excessive stress like hubby said.

So am I the youngest?

22 in a couple of months Blush

Newlywed2013 · 29/12/2013 20:40

Wow loads to catch up on! Will read up later when I finish work about 11! Still no symptoms except dodgy bowel movements!

BexBoo12 · 29/12/2013 21:21

I need a book!! What books have you all got and would you recommend them?

topmammy · 29/12/2013 21:29

This is the book I've got: DaybyDayPregnancyBook

I'm just reading a page a day so it's manageable. It's also got loads of info about diet, childbirth, travelling, complications etc.

And also have Bumpology on my kindle, as I mentioned before: Bumpology

Hubbythecatandme · 29/12/2013 21:40

Yes DK are great publishers so I am sure this is a very good book with lots of nice illustrations by the looks of it.
Yes we have been chatterboxes today hehe!
22 is a great age to be :) !!

Hubbythecatandme · 29/12/2013 21:50

One of my customers has just really cheesed me off I feel like screaming grrr! Do not annoy pregnant woman!
(She placed an order was £25 from me, I sent it to her hubby's Holiday Inn as request as he is a pilot for a foreign airline. She emails me today saying "where did you send this to as I haven't received the books, also there is a place my husband doesn't go to anymore...." I give her the delivery address and she says her hubby was there on 18th of december and parcel wasn't there. Now I posted parcel so it would arrive on 2nd of december. Chances a random airport Holiday Inn is going to keep an unknown customer's parcel for so long.... and of course, who has to ring the hotel to track the order... me apparently.... grrr!!!!) #rantover
I know it's not fair she didn't get her order but I bet I am the one who is going to have to replace or refund when it's very likely the hotel who screwed up. Sorry, very ranty about this! Thanks for letting me vent!!!!

Newlywed2013 · 30/12/2013 00:31

Hopefully the tests i ordered from ebay will arrive tomorrow! not tested since friday when i did two tests and got positives!!
I bought a load of the ones where you have the line, but hubby is going to buy me digi one on the way home from work tomorrow now that i am officially late (unless i do see my friend as i still cannot buy my own tests- always bumped into someone i know and never left a shop with one :(

isitme This will be my first, im 24 and baby should be here before i turn 25 (19th Sept) and I am terrified of what might lay ahead.... my mum had awful pregnancies! but i dont have her to talk to about any of this as she died when I was little!! :(
Also isitme it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job with your LO'a

topmammy How excited it is most likely going to be you the first to give birth!! eeeekkkk

Im so excited for everyone!!
Still a bit annoyed im not having symptoms, I will def be doing another test tomorrow!!! had a few cramps today but they mounted to nothing so think i might be starting to panic!! need to try stay calm for the sake of mine and babies health!! arghhhh

Hubbythecatandme · 30/12/2013 01:09

Mine is 2nd of Sept, got it wrong!!

BexBoo12 · 30/12/2013 01:28

OMG, insomnia!!! What the hell is this about???

Newlywed2013 · 30/12/2013 01:32

tell me about it Bex!! been like this for months since i started doing bar work!! but for me im starting to go to bed earlier!! i was never before 4am but now i am heading to bed about 1am even though always awake till nearly half 2!!

Will update it hubby :)

bugoven · 30/12/2013 05:22

Awake again! Need in a pot for a cbd test later when the shops open.

Sounds like I need a pregnancy book =) Thanks for all your suggestions.

I told my mum last night and we realised I will be the same age to the month as she was when she had me.
Sorry to hear you don't have your mum to help you through all the unsure times and questions isitme. That must be so hard.

Thanks for doing the stats newly. I did wonder if we'd have them, it makes me feel closer to you all reading all those dates all together.

I have just woken up from a baby dream. I had a little girl. She looked just like me as a baby and was so happy. I was meant to be going.out to a gig with her (!!???!), all my friends were going to be there and were nagging me about being late. I couldn't find anything to wear and all I had for baby was a pink snowsuit without feet. She told me her feet were cold and she didn't want to go out (kind of by telekenisis) and I didn't mind staying in at all. We cuddled up under a blanket and I ignored my phone. It was so lovely Smile. Anyone else had dreams.about their little one?

DearDinah · 30/12/2013 07:30

Checking in again, I've ordered cheap tests from eBay, I can't help it, I'm so paranoid I NEED to see those lines everyday! Glad I'm not alone in my state of worry, I'm sure everything will be ok for us now though surely.
I'm going to get a book too I reckon, does anyone else have horrible skin? Mines the worse it's ever been & it's been pretty awful since coming off the pill.
Ive got the doctors appt today, I've been told it's pretty underwhelming, I'm looking at it just as a way to get myself into the 'system' I had blood tests a week ago to check for thyroid issues (due to how long my cycles were) so hopefully I'll find out that everything's actually ok, don't want to be worrying about that too!
By the way I'm 30, be 31 in Feb & this is my 1st ( although I did want to start ages ago but had to wait for DH to decide he was ready! Men! He gets the easy job!)

DearDinah · 30/12/2013 07:31

No dreams yet bugoven just the usual bizarro ones! Lol

isitme1 · 30/12/2013 09:02

I'm not too sure if I'm August or September.
So I'm in both until i find out lol
I can't remember my last period as baby was in hospital.

Bug it's newlywed that doesn't have her mum to help. Thankfully I have mine.
I'm really sorry to hear that newlywed. As some one up thread mentioned we are here for each other X

I've had some weird dreams last night :S
x

Jamess2 · 30/12/2013 09:06

Hey guys can I join you all? BFP two days ago, should he due 7th Sep and first pregnancy!!

Husband and I are very excited and keeping it very hush hush so this forum is a god send as I feel like I am going to burst.. I've even been talking to the dog about it haha!

Christina xx

DearDinah · 30/12/2013 09:23

Hi christina welcome & congratulations! It's all very surreal isn't it?! I want to tell the world (have told close family & a few friends as I couldn't get away with the whole antibiotics/not drinking story!)

Sounds like we've all been through the mill but good to have support through this journey, hope it's smooth sailing for us all. Looking forward to seeing the next 30 odd Wks through with you ladies Thanks

DearDinah · 30/12/2013 09:24

Bex good luck tomorrow! Wishing you a wonderful wedding day & a lifetime of happiness xx
