Happy Christmas everyone!!!

Pregnacare & folic acid

tutti & twink sorry you are going through such worry Thanks

whiteblossom · 07/01/2014 13:27

I went into Debenhams this morning to get one of those bump bands to hide open top jeans. They had all of about 5 things in all in huge or tiny sizes. Complete and utter disappointment. So I headed to mothercare and ended up buying a pair of jeggings, which really don't look like maternity so Im pleased with them but I feel a bit jinx'y like Ive bought them too early- but what can I do?! Grin

Will this bloat go away or will it only get bigger?

tutti and twink how are you this afternoon?

Beccus · 07/01/2014 13:36

thinking of you, tutti, twink & whiteblossom. not knowing and worrying is the absolute worst. I had bleeding around 9 weeks with dd1 on a Friday nite & they wouldn't scan me until monday. worst & longest weekend ever. hang in there

HippyJess · 07/01/2014 13:57

I'm so bloated today that I look really rather pregnant already! I'm not gonna mind being big and bump-y I don't think but it's not the same when none of its baby Grin so I understand your pain whiteblossom lol

TwosaCrowd · 07/01/2014 14:03

Oh god you've all made me panic now. I went to pick up vitamins yesterday but had forgotten my purse!! Don't have time to go into town today, and busy all tomorrow! Have asked hubs to pick some up on his way home from work, which he probably won't…

HippyJess · 07/01/2014 14:17

Don't panic TwosaCrowd! Folic acid's the important bit and you've got that covered :)

Tutti · 07/01/2014 16:15

I am still panicking ... I just wiped and there is another bit of pinkish discharge.. So that's the second lot today .....

twinkbat · 07/01/2014 16:17

Phew! stay of execution! (sorry gallows humour)

Lovely nurses who are amazing and my new best friends told me my hcg is low, so they want to check again next week. Based on what they said, and my hours with dr google this morning looks like maybe my dates are off as levels low and nothing on scan etc. Also happy that after the internal probe attempting to come out of my side (!) no gush of bleeding. I got one sticky sticky bean either way I figure

See Tutti.. still hope ;)

twinkbat · 07/01/2014 16:20

Tutti I've had pink, brown and brownish red on and off in varying degrees since saturday. Nurses told me when I went in this morning it can be totally normal at our stage.

Tutti · 07/01/2014 16:43

Ooo I hope that this will be the same for me then xxx

Twinkbat well done .. That's encouraging news cxx

whiteblossom · 07/01/2014 17:03

omg just had a call from the hospital, I didn't get to phone in time and they left a message saying I DO need to call them back. I did and spoke to a lovely nurse who informed me that my hcg level is 9449 and they want to scan me tomorrow morning. I asked if the levels were good and all she said was that over 10000 they can see on the scan so they will take a look.

Ive just googled and the level of hcg looks ok so I just hope the bean is in the right place and I can relax!

twink im glad your doing well and you sound positive which is great.

TUTTI Ive said it before and Ill say it again, This can be normal and you can go on to have a healthy pregnancy, hang on in there. I know your scared, I would be too so I don't blame you for feeling so low. One day at a time, we are all here to hold your hand x

kmini · 07/01/2014 17:03

tutti twink very sorry about all you are going through. Tough. Fx for you both.

tutti twink'S situ certainly puts my constant whinging to DH abt symptoms in perspective.

I had my docs appointment today. Didn't expect much, but a little more effort would have been helpful. I asked two questions. Firstly, I normally drink soya milk (a little lactose intolerant) and I asked the doc whether this was ok becuase I had read conflicting research on its safety. Second question was around electrolysis and whether this was safe. Again I had read conflicting reports. Both times, she just said, I have no idea. She didn't offer to check for me & get back to me about it. Is this normal?

Also, I still have to choose a hospital. Any other south-london girls about. Are you choosing St Thomas or St George's. I can't decide. I've heard/read good/bad about both.

kmini · 07/01/2014 17:05

And sorry whiteblossom best of luck for tmrw

kmini · 07/01/2014 17:06

And there meant to be & in between tutti and twinks names! If not, I've just created a new knickname for you as a pair!

DearDinah · 07/01/2014 17:21

kmini i asked my doc for advice about the safe use of essential oils and he gave me a very 'loose' answer about their not being enough evidence over their use in pregnancy, so to be safe, i've stopped using them (my skin is horrendous, but hey ho).
With reference to soya milk, i'm sure its ok, but if you want to be safe, could you try almond millk, or the lactofree milk you can get? Maybe its a question you could ask any vegans on the food topic or pregnancy topic?

DearDinah · 07/01/2014 17:22

terrible misuse of 'their' I'm blaming being pregnant Blush

twinkbat · 07/01/2014 17:28

whiteblossom is it weird to be jealous of your HCG levels? Wink seriously I'm feeling ok about it, worrying is not going to do me any good is it. Glad things are looking up for you. Good luck tomorrow

nataaaaliee · 07/01/2014 17:38

Girls I need some handholding, just went to the loo and there was some blood. I feel like my m/c is happening all over again..really cannot cope anymore Sad

HippyJess · 07/01/2014 17:45

Oh nataaaaliee :( try not to panic, it could well be nothing. Was there a lot/what colour was it? I'd ring the midwives ASAP for peace of mind if I was concerned and would if I were you. Hugs and hand holding xx

kmini · 07/01/2014 17:45

is there much? If only a little bits, it all ok. Stay positive.

Choccywoccydodah · 07/01/2014 17:48

Hi all, I haven't read anything yet, but I am hoping to be joining (and staying this time!!) soon. I am 9dpo and had an extremely faint line earlier today.
I'll be lurking for now, but I'm hoping it's 3rd month lucky!!! (Nov and Dec ended in chemicals).
Back soon hopefully Grin
