My verrrrrry faint line earlier gives me an edd of 27 august so I'm going to straddle the two threads providing I get a strong bfp tomorrow (which I should do!!)

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

whiteblossom · 06/01/2014 15:37

Shhhhhh I want to buy pink too!!! haha. {off to hide round the corner and do a silent foot stamp} Wink

If I have a boy then its meant to be and as I already have one I know what to do and my ds tells me all the time how much he loves me, even his poo loves me apparently- aren't I lucky Grin so I'd be very happy to have that all over again Smile

But (insert evil cakle here) Grin I can imagine IL being sour faced about it- we went NC three years ago and MIL made it very clear when we had DS she wanted a girl in the family (mil had two boys) hence she dosent give a toss about us. ds is their only gc. Sad

whiteblossom · 06/01/2014 15:42

waffles I can relate to not wanting your history being looked at, the midwife at my gp's is family with someone I fell out with, I suspect she will tell her but I know she shouldn't- should I say something make it clear its to remain private? I'd be beyond furious.

Can you tell us what names- how exciting. With our first dh and I had decided on a girls name before I was pregnant, boys name....er still deciding after he was born and we knew it was a boy.

twinkbat · 06/01/2014 15:59

if your're bad waffles I'm awful ... we have two for each picked out lol - a favourite and a backup!

isitme1 · 06/01/2014 16:16

Hmmm I think I have a boys name picked out.

Kitkat this is my 3rd Blush my eldest is 3, baby is 5 months eek and this was the-not-very-planned-happy-shock baby.
Got a phone call from the specialist regarding ds2 head they might not operate for another year which gives us more time to be settled with dc3 hopefully

Sorry cant remember who said they had 2 boys like me.. I opened the bag my sil gave and on top was a lil baby dress it was absolutely amazingly gorgeous! !

I might have to go onto maternity clothes soon I know its al bloat/past baby fat but I feel massive already

x

Blossom I dont mean to scare you but with ds2 I had similar symptoms to you and epu thought I was having ectopic thankfully ot wasnt that but I would put foot down and ask for scan asap x

waybuloony · 06/01/2014 16:26

Ha whiteblossom, glad I'm not the only one to admit it!
I've got it in my head that my body only knows how to make blue ones Wink

topmammy · 06/01/2014 16:40

Wow I wish I was so decisive with baby names as some of you girls! Me and DH are having trouble deciding on any at the mo. We are going to find out if it's blue or pink though so hoping that will help us focus and pick one!

Belinky · 06/01/2014 16:41

Topmammy, I hope the nausea does subside, I've had it with a vengance today! Couldnt stand up to do the ironing the morning, and felt really sorry for myself. It seemed to subside once I'd actually been sick. But then I've had waves of it all day.

Does anyone know the order of scans you have? If the first scan is by 12 weeks, is this where you can out the sex? Sorry if its an obvious question, I'm a total newbie!

waybuloony · 06/01/2014 16:50

Normally it's at the 20 week scan that you'll be able to find out the sex although with my DS2 they were able to tell us at the first scan, I was 13 weeks though so don't know if the extra week made the difference!

No morning sickness here but I'm right funny about food at the mo. Minimal appetite and just seem to pick at meals. DH reckons I look like a squirrel eating...we're normally a pair of foodies so very out of character!

SpecialCircumstances · 06/01/2014 17:04

Hi- I'm going to tentatively join you!
Fingers crossed everything goes well- feeling rubbish with DS1 (ages 21 months) crawling about all over me- toddlers are not great nurse maids!

TwosaCrowd · 06/01/2014 17:13

No morning sickness here just nausea in the car and with DHs tuna pasta bake - bleurgh! Going to pick up a nice tin of puttanesca, as waiting for shopping got be delivered tomorrow and we have NOTHING in.

TwosaCrowd · 06/01/2014 17:15

to be*

ThisIsMeNow · 06/01/2014 18:15

Have just flopped on the sofa in total exhaustion- starting to remember now from the first time!
Only small bout of nausea today (don't think it kicked in until about 6 weeks last time so I've got a while yet) but have obviously done too much as I'm knackered!!
Have had lots of cramps too but all af type and nothing feels too sinister.

Been and purchased my vitamins, have been taking folic acid but wanted to get a full range one.

Does anyone know- I took the pregnancy vitamins from ttc with dd (so May 2011) until about 2 months ago as I still bf but for the last 6-8 weeks I've been really bad hardly taken anything Confused sporadically taken folic acid. No vitamins.
Really mad with myself. Hope baby is ok. Do you think my body will have 'stockpiled' the vitamins?

Have been looking at a sidecar cot as we use the Moses until dd was 7 months but I think it might be easier with a sidecar cot? Less getting out of bed!

broodylicious · 06/01/2014 18:26

Hi to the newbies Grin special, know what you mean, I have a 21 month old too - not the most gentle of creatures! Wink

DearDinah · 06/01/2014 18:36

thisismenow I stopped taking vitamins in the run up to BFP, was so tired if TTC I just forgot, don't worry some women don't start taking anything till they know they're pregnant, folic acid occurs naturally in a lot of food as well.

Well I just drove home from work & the car in front squashed a rabbit, I sobbed & sobbed all the way home, I probably would have being preggo or not, but find emotions so hard to keep a lid on, I hope it has no adverse effect to my pregnancy :( thinking of going to bed already

noitsachicken · 06/01/2014 18:39

Evening all,
I am feeling awful tonight, I have been feeling odd all day, light headed, palpitations, (had this last time, low blood pressure I think) now been getting sharp crampy pains and backache. DH should have been playing football but stayed home to help with DS. I feel I have overdone it a bit today, but I have no choice with a toddler. Feel like I can't cope and its such early days :-(

broodylicious · 06/01/2014 18:41

I've got my mw appt in three weeks, jan 31. Receptionist at GP said no need to go to see GP first and mw likes to see women when they're 8-12 weeks. Better in some ways as I'm a bit worried that this is all a dream and I'm going to lose the baby - conceiving at our first try is just so jammy! - so at least I will probably be suffering the horror of morning, noon and night sickness and be a bit more confident! I said to dh I'm worried at not getting much symptoms yet and he said I'm eating and trumping like a trooper so not to worry as this is what I did with dd!! (If he's as supportive in this birth as he was during my first though, I may forgive him that comment WinkGrin)

You're all so good thinking of names. Of course we've mentioned names before we started ttc (loads for girls, not so many for boys) but I'm so frightened right now, I've switched off all of that til the scan! Are you all modern names or something more traditional?

Hope everyone's days were ok, especially those who were back after the Christmas break. One thing I don't miss since I've become a sahm (but work from home when dh is off) xx

TwosaCrowd · 06/01/2014 18:54

DH says no to all my name suggestions, yet comes up with nothing himself! I just know he'll suddenly find himself with a week old baby with no name, having refused all my ideas!

Tutti · 06/01/2014 18:59

I am soo scared.... had to go to the hospital today my pain was so sore...they think I have a urine infection...but they took bloods to check for hcg...

and they just rang...its 64...so I have to go back Wednesday...she said it it is within range for 3-4 weeks but it is still lowSad Sad

I can roughly remember wen we did the deed [smotime between 12-16] December...[I know ..but we had other things going on]...so is that in nomal range?

I am soo worried ...help!!!!

bugoven · 06/01/2014 19:01

Hello all! I am so so so tired. This has hit me very suddenly and I feel so reassured. Really noticed all the smells at school too.

For those of you with pains I hope they settle down or you are at least reassured. I think I really over did it ay work today and am hurting but hoping it's just the stretchy ligaments etc.

Welcome new BFPers Grin

bugoven · 06/01/2014 19:07

tutti levels vary massively but will mean bery little until the two can be compared. So sorry you're going through all this worry.

TwosaCrowd · 06/01/2014 19:09

I had an emergency C sec last time, do you think I would be allowed to request another c sec this time?

Tutti · 06/01/2014 19:16

ThisIsMeNow · 06/01/2014 19:35

Tutti here's a hand to hold until you find out. There's a good chance your dates are out and that could be it. Thanks

CumbrianExile · 06/01/2014 19:51
