My verrrrrry faint line earlier gives me an edd of 27 august so I'm going to straddle the two threads providing I get a strong bfp tomorrow (which I should do!!)

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

I also had a lot of cramping this week, though it's eased off a bit now. I think it's normal as the embryo implants and the uterus starts to stretch, so unless it's really painful or you have done bleeding as well I wouldn't worry!

Metalhead · 05/01/2014 10:50

some bleeding

DearDinah · 05/01/2014 10:51

Oh good! Not good that we're all suffering, just that it's normal! Lol

kmini · 05/01/2014 10:57

How much bleeding metal...spotting is normal apparently.

To add to the symptoms. Sore back. Been lying in bed for 12 hours now. Might just be my subconscious telling to get my butt out of bed ;)

topmammy · 05/01/2014 11:01

Re: that daily mail article. The daily mail make their money by scaremongering so definitely a huge pinch of context needed there I think.

If anyone can reccomend a good baby sling I'd be grateful as I really like the idea of that.

Sorry to hear you're upset Bex They sound like they're jealous? Or prefer the spotlight to be on themselves?

Welcome to any new ladies who have joined since I've been asleep! Lol Smile

Hello this tread has moved on fast!

EDD IS 8TH SEPT

Ive yet to ring docs, ill do that tomorrow. I see someone bought some maternity clothes, judging by my jeans Im going to need some very soon, I think its all boat but Im so uncomfy. Shock

Im still having cramps and pains, they are quite intense and last night I thought what will be will be, I just have to go with it.

Has everyone erm..continued as normal in the er bedroom dept? I had a week off due to an infection but back to normal now but Im quite protective of my stomach

Ill have to dash I have a 7 year old lurking over my shoulder!

topmammy · 05/01/2014 11:09

whiteblossom Me and DH are terrified to do the bedroom dep Wink at the mo. And considering we conceived first cycle it is a bit disappointing lol if you know what I mean. But very lucky to have conceived so quickly too. I think we might be more comfortable when we reach this 12 week stage. Blush

isitme1 · 05/01/2014 11:15

Oh yep the thread has moved fast!!

blossom everything is fine in the bedroom here Wink
Dh knows that once bump gets bigger it gets sooo much more harder. With ds2 he put the tiniest amount of weight on bump during dtd anf then d's did not move for a few hours. He felt so guilty.

Ive seen some maternity clothes on next sale!
Ive also had lots of cramping but as someone mentioned up thread its most likely implantation and all.

Youngest is ill with his chest so he isnt sleeping which is getting to me now as im knackered! !

noitsachicken · 05/01/2014 11:20

topmammy I have an ergo baby carrier that I love! I didn't use it from newborn with DS but plan to this time with an insert. I used it from 4 months or so and still use it on occasion now (he is 18 months)

Justpenny · 05/01/2014 11:21

Bex my parents were EXACTLY the same, I think (hope!) they're just worried and will get more excited as I get more pregnant, but it still feels crappy doesn't it? I told my mum a few days ago and she hasn't spoken to me since. Normally she texts me every day just to see how everything is but I haven't heard anything :( families eh?!
With regards to the bedroom department...we did it once last week but I was a nervous wreck and was willing him to finish! haha! I know it's not harmful, but at the minute it's the last thing I wanna do! I feel massive already, my boobs are sore, my back is hurting, and all I wanna do is put my fluffiest pjs on and stuff my face! He's on a health kick at the minute which is really frustrating! He's going on a stag do in March to Spain, and is determined to lose his little beer belly by then so we've all been for a walk this morning with the dog...well, I walked, he jogged. Is it wrong that I don't want him to get all fit and healthy when i'm only gonna get bigger?? Im joinin slimming world on Tuesday because i'm big anyway and don't wanna be enormous but it's inevitable isn't it I suppose? is it wrong that I want him to get equally as fat??? haha! xx

Belinky · 05/01/2014 11:29

I was thinking of mentioning the bedroom department! Smile I had a horrible cold over Christmas so we had a dry spell, then got the bfp. So was really easy to work out when we conceived! My partner has turned hyper protective since we found out, so he's really hesitant...frustrating! Has anyone elses partners/hubbys had funny reactions? He said he'll calm down once we've had a doctors appointment...I hope so!

And the nausea has come on in full force this weekend, great.

twinkbat · 05/01/2014 11:30

Metal go to your dr tomorrow. I spoke to out of hours yesterday and they were a bit blasé about it. Apparently not a worry unless bad cramps (I've had them all week) back pain or clots. I just got told go to gp and get referred to EPAU for early scan. I wouldn't worry as it's not going to do any good. My sil had similar to me and that one kept stealing my seat yesterday so it's not critical.

It was FIL's 70th yesterday, big party. Wanted to tell him afterwards but my mil decided to tell him for us. Not happy. Only told mil as I will need lift to scan and she did my absolute nut!! I'm still peeing all the time and every time in stood up to go to the loo it was "are you ok??" Hmm It's going to be a LONG year...

twinkbat · 05/01/2014 11:32

Ok totally messed up reading that message about bleeding lol. Baby brain already. But yeah that's what I was told, don't panic unless clotting.

waffles1990 · 05/01/2014 12:00

Punkypod haha I'm with you on the midnight feast, may have had a midnight trip to McDonalds last night Blush
OH wasn't complaining though!!

He reckons he's having 'sympathy symptoms' - cravings, 2 nosebleeds (which he very rarely gets - but he's just had manflu constantly blowing his nose) and jokingly said he's going to ring in work with sore boobs and morning sickness next haha

I'm getting the AF cramps too but they have settled abit. Horrible going to the toilet expecting blood!

PunkyPod · 05/01/2014 13:18

Oh bum, my sling post didn't work.

I started off with a second hand moby swap. It's a stretchy one you don't have to untie to get baby in and out. Great for first 4 months. Then I got my first woven wrap. These offer more support but you have to take it off to get baby out etc. I had a Lenny lamb wrap which is about £50 new. Then I moved on to other brands and blends and haven't looked back. They come in different lengths for different carries. DP prefers mei tais which are a panel of fabric with straps coming out of the corners. Then there are buckle carriers which I've not owned.

Best thing is to join the groups on Facebook and read up on there. Wraps are traded and bought on there and you can get tonnes of advice from experienced baby wearers.

DD loves being carried, and i love having her little face peeking over my shoulder and jabbering away in her own little language.

twinkbat · 05/01/2014 13:47

is it reasonable to kill my mother-in-law?? Can i get away with it under she made me do it? shes just put a comment on facebook which is basically saying I'm pregnant ( she has "two plus grandchildren", She has two, and only Dh and SIL, who is telling anyone who will listen shes done with two her girls, to give her any so how much more obvious!!) I'm LIVID!!! I haven't told my family yet as want to do it in person and you know, wait!!

ThisIsMeNow · 05/01/2014 14:02

Hello, can I join please? Just got my Bfp! Grin So so happy. Edd sept 14.

whiteblossom · 05/01/2014 14:05

oh no twinkbat [shocked] can u get her to remove it off facebook? Did she promise to keep it to herself? I'd be livid too.

which stretchy fabric sling is recommended? can anyone comment on a cocoonabay or a nuna leaf ? yup ive hit the internet Grin

still scared to death its all going to go wrong, still cramping, had a bad one last night but later discovered it might have been wind Hmm but im a bit worried that mine are concentrated on the left side...Hmm

twinkbat · 05/01/2014 14:19

whiteblossom Dh rang her up and apparenly its just a typo blah blah ("its not my fault" basically) and she doesnt see an issue with it so no, its staying up there. She wasn't supposed to tell ANYONE, know shes already told at least 2 people, and been told off for unsubtle hints to everyone last night at FIL's party. Now it seems like I'm not going to be able to break my news to anyone because she will have. Feeling really upset because its my first and was really excited to tell everyone myself :( . I wouldnt have told her at all except I got 2 months of cold shoulder for not telling her when I had my EMC/CP last year (whole other nightmare)

bugoven · 05/01/2014 14:23

Welcome twosacrowd & thisisme Congratulations on your bfps.

justpenny I lost 2 1/2 stone with Slimming World last year and am detrrmined to jeep weight gain to a minimum so I can have a healthy baby, birh and motherhood. Plus my wedding is still booked for 1st Nov so will need to fit doen the aisle!

I have had a lot of tickking sensations and symptoms over the last few days and now I can't seem to hold my lower abdomen in. I look pregnant, and even though I know it's bloating, am quite worried about going back to work tomorrow and everyone noticing.
Anyone else have this?

Purple37 · 05/01/2014 14:28

Just ended up being sick watching Paul Hollywood's footage in a black pudding factory..dh laughed at which point I burst into tears!! Poor fella has now been and bought everything he could find on a ginger theme!!

PossumBottom · 05/01/2014 14:38

I've been having funny feelings in the abdomen as well. My lower tummy is sore and hurts a bit when I bend over. It's not really cramping, just general tenderness. I expect it's all normal, and for me it's probs mostly the constipation Blush I now have senna!

Congrats ThisIsMeNow

topmammy · 05/01/2014 15:38

I've got some ginger biscuits for nausea but they're totally gross and make me want to throw up lol. So I've got rich tea biscuits instead now lol.

I haven't told my Dad yet, bit nervous tbh. But my bro has gone and rung my dad telling him to ring me! Argh why can't people just leave it be lol.

dubaipieeye · 05/01/2014 15:59

Hi Lana if you ever want to chat about hips please pm me, it feels really good to be on the other side of the replacement but I am worried about the weight gain in the last trimester and delivery.
