I am 6+2 so only a few days behind! And that's going off af so no idea really as don't know when I ov! Mine is 100 also and I am not in London!! But it's a 30 min appointment and apparently they really go through it all with you (I should think bloody so!!)

What makes you think there could be two in there??

Hungry I don't even know what hgc levels are or how I would know what mine were. what would that do?

When are you due?

Report
HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 21:53

Fatty, because the ovary you OV'd from can ache due to the corpus luteum which supplies the progesterone to sustain the pregnancy. Last time it was my right ovary. This time both are aching, so I'm a bit worried.

Also, when I OV'd both ovaries ached then too, and it's normally only my right. I mentioned on the conception thread I was on that it felt like I was gearing up for the OV of my life. Argh!

Whatare, hcg is the hormone created when pregnant. As the pregnancy develops the hcg levels rise. It's the hcg that the tests pick up.

You won't know what yours are without blood tests, but they vary LOADS between women / pregnancies, hence the digi not necessarily being accurate if you're at the lower end of the scale. Or the upper end either.

For those who will need a double buggy, what have you looked at / thought about?

FF - Im booking a early reassurance scan and its £65 here (south)....hoping to get in two weeks around 8 by then roughly Smile

Hungry omg would you be scared having twins?? Im not sure I could cope!!!

I was sure I ov'ed on the left due to pains being very strong but the scan I had (checking for cysts) showed it was the right hand side the egg had come from!!! How wierd is that....well it shut me up anyway Wink

I think I may be a double buggy crew member...DD will be 2.5....im not sure what to do!!!!

I'm in south to! Strange mine is more! Oh well be worth it :) if your ds is going to be 2.5 I would get double my dd is nearly 3 and we still use her pushchair a lot. (We have a dog so walks etc.) I won't get one for us obviously but would have if we conceived over a year ago when we started trying!!!

we've decided against double buggy because we used the sling for ds loads for the first 6 months so hoping new baby will like it too and ds can keep the pram. am going to keep an open mind though, although no idea where I'd put a double! And I love our xplory soooo much.

Report
HungryHorace · 29/12/2013 01:41

I thought about a sling, but think that if the weather is as hot as last year then baby may get too hot strapped to me as is be overheating myself.

Need to see if I'm having just the one yet before planning too much. I'd really much rather not have twins though!

I don't like the doubles where the older child sits low to the floor and can only see the seat in front. That'd be hideous for DD. So far I like the Baby Jogger City Select and the Mountain Buggy + one. Need to try the latter one out somewhere though.

Right...time to attempt more sleep now DD has fed. :-)

Lucy, that is weird re the pain. How interesting in fact. Hopefully my pains on both sides is just deceptive then. :-)

So sorry swede Sad

My DS will be 2.2 when my twins are born eek!!!!! No way am I having a triple buggy tho lol! He's just going to have to walk whether he likes it or not! I like the icandy double, bit pricey tho and they make it so you can't order online so can charge what they like Blush

We'll need a double. DS will be 20 months when baby comes. Unlike the Babyjogger City Mini Double.

As this will be an August baby I like the idea of being able to use a carry cot.

Oh no, Swede, I'm so sorry. Good luck and I hope you have a successful pregnancy very soon.

Eeyore, can you get a buggy board for DS?

There's so few triples on the market and they look hard work!

I'll have to check out buggy boards... He does walk lots but obviously gets fed up after a while! I'll google if u can put one in the icandy... I might just get the seats and car seat adapters as the reviews say babies only fit in the carrycots for two or three months and they are £200 extra each!!
