Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 23:56

My bloody phone! Used!!!

miserywaterfall · 28/12/2013 00:04

Or might use the 'oh I'm drinking vodka and cola!' Who's to know it's only boring coke? Grin Just hope no one offers to buy me a drink!

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 00:06

Or you had a massive night the night before and you can't face it??

miserywaterfall · 28/12/2013 00:15

They know me too well not to have massive nights before planned things! The thing is, I've been so ranty in the past about never wanting babies that no one will actually consider the reason I'm not drinking is due to pregnancy!

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 01:04

We tried again so soon because I'm 37 and I didn't want to risk leaving it longer / want to be pregnant at 40, Fatty.

It'll be challenging, but hopefully fun and they should be close. Fingers crossed. :-)

miserywaterfall · 28/12/2013 01:06

They'll definitely be close Hungry Don't blame you for trying again so soon, but feel for you having to go through it all again this soon!

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 05:35

It's weird, but I've forgotten the early bit in a way!

And at least DD won't remember being an only. :-)

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 08:49

It'll be lovely hungry! Will be so close! Smile

HalfPintPickle · 28/12/2013 08:50

I'll be nursing ( but not drinking ) a glass of wine tonight with the girls. My good friend knows so I'll sit next to her at dinner and cheekily 'swap' glasses!
Then if we go out after, I'll be drinking 'amaretto' and diet coke ;)
That's the plan anyway!

HalfPintPickle · 28/12/2013 08:51

I think any age gap will have its ups and downs, it'll be nice for them to always have each other :)

lucyfluff · 28/12/2013 08:57

I wish mine had been closer in age, two older DS 's are very close but one has moved up to secondary school this year and they miss each other!!!! Smile

Lilimum2be · 28/12/2013 09:09

Joining the club :)

babyspice2501 · 28/12/2013 09:21

My children have big gaps. Ds 11yrs dd 4yrs but ds will be 12 when bubba is born! And dd 5! But I think bubba will be lucky to have such a big brother because I think it will really look up to him.

As for drinking excuses ive told my twin yesterday! And she was so excited! She is going to help me hide the fact im not drinking with all our friends nye! Plus we have a friends wedding next week and will help me with an excuse then! I think I will be using the 'vodka' and coke thing.

wejammin · 28/12/2013 09:34

Polkadot1 · 28/12/2013 09:57

I'll be 40 in March- so agree about not leaving it too long! Glad I fell pregnant at 39!

babyspice2501 · 28/12/2013 10:16

Lucyfluff tell me about it! Lol! Because the older they get the more expensive they are because they want bigger presents and be in fashion etc! And yes bubba due about 2 weeks after ds 12th birthday!

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 11:03

Oh gosh feel so rough today! Haven't been sick but feel so queasy! Hmm

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 11:26

Fatty, I've perked up now, but was sick twice this morning. Grim. :-/

Still yet to brush my teeth which I'm dreading!

Feeling rather tired today. Good job we haven't got anything planned!

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 28/12/2013 11:43

Welcome to the newbies!

I'm with you on the feeling sick - we have just gone to FIL and step-MIL's for lunch and I literally couldn't go into the house because they had cooked something meaty and the smell made me sick. I had to say a quick hi then get dh to explain while I was sick on the drive Blush and I'm now back at MIL's, in bed and feeling awful, having left dh and dd to their lunch! So glad we are going home tomorrow - just have to get through a big meal on New Year's Eve and then I can get back to 'normal' (ie vomming in the toilets at work and trying to hide the reason from my colleagues...)

miserywaterfall · 28/12/2013 11:46

Morning all and welcome wejammin!

My UTI is back with a vengence Sad Can't believe it, I lasted less than a week once the antibiotics were finished before it kicked back off again! OF course, doctors is closed til Monday so going to have to suffer along on paracetamol all weekend. Bleh.

stephie0611 · 28/12/2013 12:00

Hi All

I just found out on boxing day that I was pregnant so reckon only about 6-7 weeks. Not sure of my due date as cant remember exactly what date my last periods were.
have been to the doctors and theyve done a urine sample to send away and get confirmed but ive done 3 tests on my own which are all positive :)
Ive no patience in waiting at all lol.
Only symptoms ive really had are really sore boobs.

sharkey1187 · 28/12/2013 12:07

Misery, you can call out of hours if need be! I varies from area to area but generally if you ring your own surgery number it'll transfer you to the out of hours service/111/NHS direct. Depending on your symptoms, they can see you if need be and prescribe antibiotics. If you are really uncomfortable it might be worth it even as a temporary measure until Monday!
