ooh and I've had three previous pregnancies two children and handled the boobie dilemma by stuffing them into the largest bra I felt was an acceptable size for me (refused to buy bigger) so cannot really advise there..

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 17:56

JoJo Maman Babe does nursing bras which grow with you. They look more like vest tops, but are lovely and comfy :-)

My boobs are rock hard today, which means they're growing. Tomorrow they'll be itchy after growing!

I had medium rare steak last time, mssleepyhead, due to slight cooking fail. Don't worry about it!

All I've done is eat this afternoon. I'm trying to stave off the evil taste in my mouth and feeling urgh. Not working!

mszeenwithabean · 28/12/2013 17:57

Grin 'baby Jesus' have to love the little ones suggestions - misery

mssleepyhead · 28/12/2013 18:30

Thank you for the meat reassurance and the bra suggestions. lucy I'm on the small size too so sports bras are a great idea and then maybe with things, um, really pick up I'll invest in some of those lovely looking Jojo ones. I'm hestitant to buy anything too baby shaped yet, in case it brings bad luck... But they look great for when I'm feeling more confident : )
Thanks everyone! X

Missvaughan85 · 28/12/2013 18:41

Sleepy, I've cheated, any old bras that I think oh I could do with buying replacements I've taken the wires out. I will eventually buy new but not just yet. I'm bit buying anything pregnancy or baby related until after 12 weeks. Xx x

babyspice2501 · 28/12/2013 19:38

clarissa im in the exact same boat as you! Nearly just because I had to tell oh about it because I knew it would come up in my booking app and even near the end of pregnancy midwife app! But im still the same as you. I dont want it being spoken about infront of him id be horrified. And wgen I did tell him he just said "bad times" or something like that which sounds awful I know! But he is really really shy and I knew he would be thinking "shit what do I say??" So j let him off plus I really didnt want to speak about it myself so I just left it at that. But the midwife will ask about ALL past pregnancies and when I was pregnant with dd she even brung it up on one of my last visits just to warn you. But I will also be phoning before hand and telling her to NOT bring it up infront of us at all!!

RosesOnTheWane · 28/12/2013 19:44

Me again, sorry been away for ages - bust Christmas but relatives all gone now.
I am feeling rough. Alternating nausea and starving. Really tired and have two 4 year olds to run round after!
Had a dating scan last Mon that put me at 7 weeks - will be 8 weeks on Mon i think. Due date 12th August. Looked ok, heartbeat etc but we have had a number of early losses so not counting our chickens!
Good to hear all you news!

whatareyoueventalkingabout · 28/12/2013 20:15

can anyone help me? I did a test on 13th dec which said 2-3 weeks (one of those fancy tests) but think my last period was more like end of oct but I can't remember.

how accurate are the scans you have at 6-8 weeks? I

mssleepyhead · 28/12/2013 20:36

what I think those tests measure from the date of conception! not the date of your last period, so for example I am about 6 weeks pregnant but the test I did this week shows 3+ weeks because it goes from when I conceived (at the start of December), so you need to add a couple of weeks. Also, I don't think they're brilliantly accurate, especially if you don't use FMU. The scans should be more accurate; from what I gather so much changes every day at this stage that they can quite accurately date a baby from the scan in the early weeks.

mssleepyhead · 28/12/2013 20:37

(Sorry about the inappropriate ! - a typo, wasn't shouting!)

whatareyoueventalkingabout · 28/12/2013 20:42

I don't think the dates can be right for when I conceived though, but thank you for putting my
Mind at rest.

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 20:45

Just booked an early scan, I know they're a waste of money bla bla bla but 12 weeks seemed so bloody far away! It's driving me mad already! So I have a scan sat 11th will be 8+2 (hopefully) by then so hoping that it will give me some piece of mind!! Smile Dh was against it to begin with but said if it'll make time go quicker for me he's happy!

mssleepyhead · 28/12/2013 20:50

FF I have one the following weekend and think I'll be about the same stage. I couldn't stand the thought of waiting till the 12 week scan, just in case...

Missvaughan85 · 28/12/2013 20:52

Felling, I did the same last week. Just want that reassurance that it's in the right place and I know anything can happen even after scan. I'd like to know if dates are right and if there's more than one. As my belly is rather large for 7+1. I've decided it's my Christmas present. As DH and I don't do presents really x x

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 20:55

When do you think you conceived, whatare? Those tests are notoriously inaccurate, to be honest.

Fatty, my MiL wants to book us an early scan, but for some reason I'm reluctant. God knows why. I'll have to think about it!

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 21:15

I was very reluctant to begin with as felt if I saw hb and everything was okay and then something went wrong I think it'd feel worse but then did some reading and saw that if you wait until 8 weeks + then if you see the hb mc risk goes down to 5% so thought I'd go for it. Still be cautious and won't tell anyone until after 12 week scan but be nice to break up the time! Can I ask how much every one else are? I think mine seems more than I had seen in the past...if it's to rude don't tell me Wink to late now as I've paid for it!!

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 21:16

When is yours miss v?

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 21:17

Ms sleepy are you a week behind me then? Seems like ages until the scan I've booked let alone the 12 week one Smile

Feelingfatty · 28/12/2013 21:17

Oh and miss v it says bring your notes...I take it it's fine that we don't have any??!!

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 21:19

£40 special offer here at the moment. Usually £50.

It's not local exactly, about 15 miles away.

Can't decide what to do...I'm shit scared there's two in there!

mssleepyhead · 28/12/2013 21:27

We're paying £100 which seems to be the going rate in London.
FF I'm due on 24 august, according to the last AF date, but I think I ovulated late so think the dating scan will put me being due on 27th. So, right now I'm either 6 weeks tomorrow or 6 weeks on Tuesday. Obviously right now I'm thinking I'm 6 weeks tomorrow as it cheers me up! That's about a week behind you, right..?

whatareyoueventalkingabout · 28/12/2013 21:29

Hungry I think conceived mid November?

FriendofDorothy · 28/12/2013 21:31

I worse these Bravado bras when I was pregnant last time and breastfeeding and I am still wearing them.

They are so bloody comfy and come in lots of colours!

HungryHorace · 28/12/2013 21:36

Whatare, have you done another digi since to see if it's gone up to 3+?

I would try not to worry too much as hcg levels vary so much that those tests just aren't accurate for everyone. Did you want me to find a hcg levels web page for you which I've posted on here before?

£100 feels expensive!
