Hi everyone and the newbies! Hope you all had a great Christmas and didn't feel too sick!

Glad you got your branston pickle shak ! I'm still
Loving the cheese and pickle sandwiches!

I got my midwife appointment in the post this morning so that with the dates for the scans I'm all set for January- it's all starting to feel so real now (especially the excess win and snapping at everyone!)

babyspice2501 · 27/12/2013 12:51

Lol hungry! Made laugh!

Bunnybaby thank you for the info, its definatly made me feel better!

Ruggle thinking about it my symptoms were stronger around the time af was due! How weird is that? Sorry couldnt help but laugh at your dry heaving for 20mins lol

Ah thanks ladies! Youve all made me feel so much better this morning!

lucyfluff · 27/12/2013 13:37

Hi babyspice and vj - good to see you in here Smile

As the other others have said baby try not to worry, being ill wouldnt affect your little bean as they are taking all your goodness and staying tucked away all safely!! My symptoms are on/off...and I dony get up to pee on the night at all....YeT lol!!!

6 weeks today Grin

babyspice2501 · 27/12/2013 14:23

Hey lucyfluff! Thank you! Glad to hear your symptoms are on/off too. Im so much more relaxed compared to this morning so thank you xxxx

miserywaterfall · 27/12/2013 14:58

I was up to pee FOUR times last night! To be fair, even before I got pregnant I was up twice a night, so I guess this is the natural progression haha!

HungryHorace · 27/12/2013 15:05

I didn't have to wee overnight much with DD until about 34-35 weeks. Up til then I'd only had to get up about 4 times on total.

This time it's different because DD doesn't sleep through yet, so I end up weeing while I'm up anyway. Does raft count as getting up to wee? Maybe not!

I managed to only be sick a couple of times this morning. Feel like I'm winning! I'd take Ruggle's dry heaving over actual puking any day, I think as it's a smidgen less grim. Just!

Shakshuka · 27/12/2013 15:10

deus
any news from your scan? Hope it's all OK.

deuscat · 27/12/2013 16:26

Thanks for asking Shak and thanks to you other ladies who have mentioned positive thoughts for me. Unfortunately it's definitely over for me now so I'll be leaving this thread today.

Thanks to everyone for the support along the way and I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies.

Shakshuka · 27/12/2013 16:29

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry deus and sorry for getting your hopes up about the cramps. I guess your instincts were right :(

Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 16:55

Oh deus I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish you all the best and a beautiful baby in your not to distant future xx

Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 16:57

Hey guys loving all your 1/10's unfortunately always update on phone so to difficult for me to copy and paste it all!

Just wondering anyone been told they will have first midwife appointment (booking in) after 12 week scan? If so have you received your scan date yet??

HungryHorace · 27/12/2013 17:12

Oh deus, I'm so sorry. :-(

I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy in the very near future. xx

Ruggle · 27/12/2013 17:13

Sorry for your loss Deus!

Feelingfatty, I had my booking in on Xmas Eve at 6+5. I think they just happened to have a spare slot when I phoned them up a couple of weeks ago. Scan is at 12 weeks. It's just a dating scan, so it probably doesn't really matter that your booking in happens later, but I read that it's usually between 8 and 10 weeks, followed by scan at 12.

CountdownBegins · 27/12/2013 17:36

So sorry Deus- hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy in the near future.

FeelingFatty, my booking in will be when I am 10+5 and 12 weeks scan at 12+1. My scan dates came through about three weeks ago and the booking in just today so don't think it's as important when the booking in us as long as its before or relatively close to the 12 weeks- I'm a first timer though so could be wrong!

Polkadot1 · 27/12/2013 17:44

Really sorry to hear that deus wish you every happiness and healthy pregnancy soon x

fatty- I think each region is different. In our region you just pick up a pack from the GP surgery, (don't see GP) but have a midwife booking appt at 8-10 weeks- they get you "into the system"- then scan at 12, see MW again at 16 weeks. As long as you've seen someone to go through things- frolic acid, vit D, lifestyle etc... I guess it doesn't matter whether it's GP or Midwife?

lucyfluff · 27/12/2013 17:44

Oh sorry Deus Sad good luck for the future and take care x

Good to hear your feeling better baby Smile these first few weeks are a right pain with all the waiting to see if everythings ok. Stay positive Smile

I just rang GP about tummy pain and he wasnt concerned about bubba aa scan showed pg in right place...I babbled on about tummy and he said just take paracetemol....is anyone else having painful bloating??? Thats all I can put it down to like a nagging stitch pain Sad
and my nips are killing grrrrrrr!!!!

Sorry to moan just not feeling it today!!!!

Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 17:47

I saw gp after bfp and he put info into system (literally name, last period) and then said I would get scan date through and you see midwife for booking in the same day...that was over two weeks ago!!! Not heard anything since!! I think if I get to 8 weeks and still not heard anything I'll ring up the doctors and check??!! With my dd you had booking in first and then scan, Must be different here!!

Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 17:47

And thanks for responses Smile

travispickles · 27/12/2013 17:55

Sorry for your loss deus.

I am at ILs which is ok, they look after DD while I rest. But the house is soooooo hot and food is paltry and infrequent. I am starving!!

Ok, haven't cut and pasted list but:

Nausea 6/10. Comes n goes and nowhere near as bad as last time....

Breathless 7/10. Am still running but it's much harder work at the mo

Knicker watch 5/10 not worrying as much as last time. Figure what will be will be

Booze situation 5/10 haven't been put in uncompromising situation yet

Baby names 3/10 couple of half hearted mentions

Books 0/10 got some from last time but haven't cracked them open yet

Pains 4/10 occasional round ligament pain

travispickles · 27/12/2013 17:56

As always a snappy farting fatso so not sure if anyone will guess!!

HungryHorace · 27/12/2013 17:57

Fatty, my friend had her booking and scan on the same day. She's on the Wirral...not sure where you are?

Do you have the number for the midwives at the hospital? Maybe call and chase directly?

RoseHoney · 27/12/2013 17:57

So sorry dues :(

Glad you're feeling better, baby Smile

My booking in is 9th January, I'll be 8+3 my scan is 11th February, I'll be 13+1, it's forever away!! Lol.

travispickles · 27/12/2013 18:03

Oh and yummie I got a pile of pjs that wouldn't look out of place in a psychiatric ward. And one had a handwritten label saying £35 on it. But his wife used to live in Italy and had a shop so it looked like ex-stock. But she had organised a huge Xmas knees up at a really expensive hotel for her family and my granny funded by dad, which we weren't supposed to know about.

miserywaterfall · 27/12/2013 18:14

Oh deus I am so sorry. Hugs to you xxx

My booking in is 16th January when I will be 11+1 then scan is 22nd Jan when I will be 12 exactly!

Feelingfatty · 27/12/2013 18:18

Hungry, I'm in devon, but we have a few hospitals near me and not sure which one my care/scans will be with! Will probably have to ring docs to check! So you think I should have got scan date by now? I'm 6 + 1
