deuscat I know you're probably thinking your family wouldn't want to know, but when it came to my MC I wouldn't have got through it without their support and I know my my mum said she would have been upset if I didn't tell her as she would want to be here for me no matter what, have you not a close relative you can confide in, I hate to think of your going though this worry on your own. Im hoping that it all comes to nothing, I've had some cramps too and it turned out to be just a dodgy tummy, so have a nice warm drink and something with plenty of fibre in ;) and try to relax, thinking about you x

Shakshuka · 24/12/2013 16:36

deus
I think period like cramps are completely normal. It's your uterus expanding. There's a lot going on in there!! If you haven't got any bleeding, then I really wouldn't worry.

So Christmas Eve and I'm working :( At least I'm working from home but we have so much to do to get all our outputs out before the end of the year so that we have a good productivity score. Of course, loads of people are on leave so it's a bit manic (quick mn break and then back to it!). DH is about to take the kids to the zoo. My 10 yr old DD is saying she doesn't want to go. When I was her age and my Dad would have offered to take me to the zoo (and we're talking the Bronx zoo - the main NYC zoo - not some crappy zoo with three animals!!), I'd have been ready at the door before you could blink! My Dad would take me with him to the carwash and I'd happily trot along! I told her if she stays here a) I'm working so have no time for her and b) I have a list of cleaning chores for her, now she's going Grin

I felt sooo bad yesteday. I have a cold and didn't sleep well the night before. I got home and just collapsed. I'd been hankering for the leftovers from a fab Mexican meal we'd had the day before. Of course, DH had eaten it...grrrrrr. He'd made a healthy dinner but I couldn't face it so he microwaved me potatoes which I had with salt and vinegar. It was all I could face (apart from the Mexican leftovers!!).

miserywaterfall · 24/12/2013 17:07

Hahah Shak, love the way you got your DD to go to the zoo :D When in doubt, threaten with chores, love it.

I got my letter from the hospital today, so first appointment is 16th of January, then scan is 21st! Seems a bit silly to have to go back 5 days later for the scan but who knows! Glad to have the dates either way :)

deuscat · 24/12/2013 19:29

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a bit better now. The cramps have stopped. I know you're all probably right, it's probably just pregnancy related and nothing to worry about. It's just cos I've also stopped getting my pregnancy symptoms as well.

I've got my DH here as well and he has tried to be reassuring and calming so that's helped. Just hate the worry! I'm going to try not to dwell on it now and just see what happens. I've not had any bleeding got anything else concerning. I'm 7+2.

Missvaughan85 · 24/12/2013 20:17

Proper feeling sick tonight!!! Think I wolfed my food down too quick. I'm gonna have a bath and then put the daughters presents down stairs. Feeling yuck!!!

Feelingfatty · 24/12/2013 20:32

Deus glad you're feeling more optimistic!!

Miss v I'm with you on feeling yuck! Was sick this morning and felt yucky all day! Had to go bed for an hour yesterday and this afternoon! Presents are down now and chilling!!

Have a happy Christmas everyone!!

Polkadot1 · 24/12/2013 20:54

I'm feeling yucky too- loads of scrummy Xmas food- too nauseous to eat it! I'm also working tomorrow so not feeling terribly chipper about that either! DH is tucking in to some snacks and a beer, I'm gonna have a bath and go to bed!!!! Roll on 9 weeks when hopefully the nausea will resolve! Merry Christmas ladies x

HungryHorace · 24/12/2013 23:55

'M'S had struck here too. I've been feeling increasingly wonky all evening with a dodgy-feeling stomach and I've just been sick while brushing my teeth before bed. Good timing. Not. :-/

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas, whatever they're doing. :-) xx

sharkey1187 · 25/12/2013 04:50

Merry Christmas ladies... here's to a great 2014 :-) x

PinaColadas · 25/12/2013 06:56

HalfPintPickle · 25/12/2013 11:52

Happy christmas to you all! I'll have a glass of shloer for everyone! (only 5+0 today!) xx

Ruggle · 25/12/2013 11:55

Merry Christmas!!

6+6

Feelingfatty · 25/12/2013 12:09

Merry Christmas everyone!! Have a lemonade on me ;)

deuscat · 25/12/2013 13:16

I'm bleeding Sad it's brown and maybe a couple of spoons worth. It's not spotting. I don't know what to do. I've not had any cramps today. I feel so sad. What should I do?

deuscat · 25/12/2013 13:16

I'm 7 weeks by the way.

HungryHorace · 25/12/2013 13:33

Oh, Deus, I don't know who you should contact over Christmas.

Do you have your notes with you with any contact numbers? I'd just try as many numbers for the midwives / EPU as you have and hopefully somebody can call you back. Xx

travispickles · 25/12/2013 13:56

At my booking in apt yesterday she told me to go to a and e if bad. GPs aren't open are they?

HungryHorace · 25/12/2013 14:08

If you call a GP there will be an out of hours number to contact. The OOH might be open.

Shallol · 25/12/2013 14:21

Call NHS direct, deus. Brown sounds normal, even if there is a bit of it. Fingers crossed for you.

Merry Christmas to everyone Smile Very busy here today - 13 of us for Christmas dinner, lots of noisy childrens toys all going off together! Still nauseous and dizzy but feeling happy to have made it to 9 weeks today Smile

Ruggle · 25/12/2013 16:20

Deus, other than get a scan for reassurance (which may not be possible on xmas day) there's not much you can do except try to relax and wait it out. If you don't have cramps , and it's not bright red blood then that's a good sign.
I hope you are OK!

deuscat · 25/12/2013 16:54

Thanks everyone. I called NHS Direct and was advised to go to A&E. At A&E they couldn't really tell anything but have booked me in for an early scan on Friday. I haven't actually bled anymore since so I'm still slightly hopeful that it's ok. Sorry for bringing the thread down on Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas ladies. Just had our Christmas dinner and all full up now Smile

HungryHorace · 25/12/2013 17:07

I'm glad you're feeling more optimistic now and that you've a scan booked for Friday.

We've eaten too and I'm totally stuffed. Just pleased I managed to cook without being sick as I'm feeling almost constantly nauseous now.

Deus, have you had to tell your family now? Hopefully no more blood is a good sign. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Xx

Feelingfatty · 25/12/2013 18:08

Oh deus sorry you had to go through this on Christmas Day, I hope the scan goes well on Friday. I had brown bleeding/loss with dd and all was fine so fingers crossed!

I feel very poorly :( so difficult to spend Christmas Day not having a drink, not feeling like eating and not particularly feeling like moving!! Roll on 12 weeks and hoping for great scan and ease of symptoms!

Shakshuka · 25/12/2013 19:58

Oh deus, how scary for you and how horrible on x-mas day. I hope it turns out to be nothing and all's ok. Glad you at least got to have your x-mas dinner.

I've got a cold and its taking it out of me. We don't do Christmas really so we went out with friends for brunch and I had to go to bed when we got back, I felt so exhausted. I'm still in bed now and trying to motivate myself to get up.

Is anyone burping all the time? It's disgusting!

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all had lovely days (as far as possible with the nausea, exhaustion etc :) )
