Morning mylittlel

I've got 2 dogs so always do a fair bit of walking and I haven't given up since finding out I'm pg Xmas Smile. Luckily they're lazy greyhounds so it's only short walks which suits me perfectly - especially when I'm feeling extra tired like I have done the past few weeks!

superlambanana · 15/12/2013 11:53

I'm crying at everything!!

Went for a walk with friends yesterday and it turned into a 2.5 hr epic long walk. I was exhausted and couldn't do anything but lie on the sofa for the rest of the day. The result was that I spent the evening worrying about all the stuff I hadn't done, and was so wound up and tired by ten that I sobbed all over DH. Feeling crap again today. Sad

InTheBEEwitchedWinter · 15/12/2013 12:13

I have to admit I haven't done anything in the last weeks I've been off sick. I never worry much about housework, anyway, but there's still a bunch of moving boxes around which we'll just stuff into the spare room.

I always wake up exhausted and often with a sore back and sore head at the moment and most of the day is a struggle to stay awake. I'm 17 weeks now and I think I have to start taking an iron supplement, I'm as pale as Casper the ghost. Not even the poor dog is getting the walks she needs.

Xmas Sad
wispaxmas · 15/12/2013 12:35

Haha, yes, the socks and underwear man might have been gutted, but I like to think he was just happy to have anything, and happy for all his fellow passengers. I loved the kid with the android tablet, "no way!"

Mylittle, I've been going for walks with our dog most days, usually for an hour twice a day since she's a rambunctious young labradoodle. She needs loads of exercise, and if I'm lucky ere will be a group of other dogs at the playing field by the woods so she can run like mad and play while I just stand there Wink

I hope everyone is having a nice lazy Sunday. I'm at work, and the museum is so so dead! Note to everyone, go to the major museums in the weekends before Christmas, they're empty and if you have kids it's the best time to do the activity packs and trails!

Redcliff · 15/12/2013 13:03

We are just about to go for a little walk . I got up with DS at 8 (which is pretty good for him) and when DP got up at 9 I went back for a nap and woke up at 12! Must have needed it.

misshoohaa · 15/12/2013 13:32

God if you're feeling emotional do not watch one born every minute! Watched it in catch up the other day and when those little swollen red babies were born I was a mess. It may have been the revival of memories from DS's birth but I was a mess!!

InTheBEEwitchedWinter · 15/12/2013 13:38

Since I've become pregnant I can't watch 'One Born' anymore - DH and I always watched it before but I just don't want to see it right now!

MarlenaGru · 15/12/2013 14:43

I just sob through OBEM and always have. I blame my daughter!

I am currently taking advantage of my daughter being away to tidy her pit. I am less than an hour in and already losing motivation.

CleverOl10 · 15/12/2013 15:06

We lent my dog to my parents as my dad was unwell and needed the company. Got to admit it being a godsend due to such a poorly first trimester. Looking forward to getting him back at Xmas for some (hopefully) healthy second trimester walks! Grin

ohcluttergotme · 15/12/2013 17:00

I am feeling exhausted, dh for third weekend in a row doing 12.5 hour shifts in next town, leaves at 6:30, home at 8:30pm. He's also working full time and doing work at night for friend. Can't wait for next Friday when he finishes up for the fortnight.
On a plus note got ds's room gutted yesterday, sold it to him as we needed to make room for new toys then he said he waned to give the old toys for his baby, so sweet, think he's accepting the baby coming.
Thank goodness for my lovely dd this weekend, she has been so helpful.
Good shout on museum Wispa Smile

Redcliff · 15/12/2013 19:43

Clutter - I need to do my DSs room this week and hoping to do a bit of a cull of broken toys as he never gives up anything. Any tips?

MarlenaGru · 15/12/2013 19:48

redcliff I waited til DD was away! If she is here i have no chance!

Jessiebaba · 15/12/2013 20:06

It's my first scan tomorrow. I'm quite scared, I'm just hoping it's good news!

For all the ladies who have already had your first scan, did you have to take a urine sample? At my booking in appointment, the MW gave me two pots for urine samples which I was to take to future appointments but I now can't remember if I need to take a sample to this one or if it's the 16 week one. I've read the letter 100 times but it's unclear Confused. I don't really fancy the idea of carrying around a urine sample if I don't need to!

mylittlel · 15/12/2013 20:15

Jessiebaba hi, my midwife gave me pots for blood test and urine, i did urine test and bloods at the same day when went to hospital (it was seperate occasion from scan) and on scan had just scan, n my hospital i know that you can leave ur urine in a special window im sure you can do that tomorrow

Good luck!

InTheBEEwitchedWinter · 15/12/2013 20:23

Midwives are obsessed with wee, in my opinion. Xmas Wink I'm seeing one every 1-2 weeks and they want a sample every time!

If you have your scan separate from the booking you might just see a sonographer so you probably won't need a wee sample.

wispaxmas · 15/12/2013 20:26

No wee taken at my scan. It's just for midwife appts. The scan is just scan and bloods.

Stacks · 15/12/2013 20:39

I wouldn't take a wee sample with you, if they want one they can always give you a pot to fill after the scan, as you'll have a full bladder anyway? At our hospital/mw appointments if you forget or can't give a sample they just ask you to drop one off at your dr anyway.

Jessiebaba · 15/12/2013 20:45

Thanks for your replies everyone. Yes, Stacks I was thinking that I'll not take it and if they really need it, I'm sure I'll be more than able to pop to the nearest toilet and provide one! Xmas Smile

MarlenaGru · 15/12/2013 21:06

Good luck for tomorrow jessie
We didn't need urine this time either thankfully. I find those little pots a nightmare.

superlambanana · 15/12/2013 21:13

What time is yours Jessie? Mine is at 9.50. I'm scared too! I think someone else has one tomorrow too but I can't remember who!

mylittlel · 15/12/2013 21:18

enjoy it ladies and fingers crossed that all is well!

GirlsGotInk85 · 15/12/2013 21:23

I had my scan last week. I drank a bottle of Sprite before I went in, well baby was on a sugar rush bouncing around everywhere, took the midwife 30 minutes to get the measurements she needed!! Didn't need a urine sample xx

Cherryjellybean · 15/12/2013 21:29

Meeeee! Mine is at 2.40 :) so nervous, so many people have guessed I am pregnant that it will suck to have to untell the family and friends that know if its not ok.

Good luck both of you for tomorrow!

Red cliff have you tried taking one away a week when they are asleep?

SarahAnderson · 15/12/2013 21:33

Anyone else noticing their hair changing? I usually absolutely must wash my hair every day or it gets horribly greasy, but in the past couple of weeks I've been able to go 2 and even 3 days without washing it. Very convenient, I must say -- hope this keeps up!

Liquidambar · 15/12/2013 21:38

Good luck for tomorrow's scans, ladies! Let us know how it goes.

I had a nice weekend. 4 days of work and then two weeks off!! :)

mitchell and wispa hope you had a good day at work. I should be working now, but I am too tired.
Mitchell hope you are enjoying Dubai. Feeling Envy
