I was hoping for an 11/12/13 baby as well but no such luck! I really need little one to avoid 14th (when we're going out for a meal for my birthday) the 16th (my birthday) and Christmas... So sod's law means he'll probably decide to make an appearance on one of those dates!
frouby As far as I know, current advice is just to wipe them down with warm water and cotton wool until their cord has come off then baths with plain warm water for a few weeks after that.
At one of my antenatal classes we were told that you can use bath soaks etc earlier if you want to, but apparently there's not much point as they don't get dirty enough to need it and it strips them of their natural protective coating... (And there was me thinking I didn't remember anything from those classes
)
We've got a box of Johnson's Baby bath soaks, shampoos, soaps, lotions etc ready and waiting, as they're gentle enough to use right from the start. They all smell of newborn babies to me and I can't stop sniffing them!
Superman Just had a look at the pic and little Delilah is absolutely gorgeous, you must be so proud! Sounds like you had everyone's idea of a perfect birth too! Please send speedy labour vibes to your fellow due date buddies as me and kchapper5 are still waiting patiently
violet Thinking of you! Fingers crossed things get going soon.
Feeling quite positive about labour today as I had a great yoga class last night and my TENS machine arrived in the post this morning.
DP has also agreed to help me look into and maybe pay for some follow on yoga/ baby massage classes in the new year which would be great, and I've received an email that's going round to everyone from my BF workshop about meet ups, classes and baby cafes so I'm feeling more optimistic and a lot less like I'm going to be completely on my own when baby gets here!
