super i had to hold back the tears when I read about your dp's proposal. how sweet. you must be on cloud nine. i remember when i got engaged it was such a special time. plus you are expecting a LO that is all just so amazing.

I was craving cookies so badly. I still dont have my kitchen stuff - all I have is a pot and a fork. When there's a will there's a way (she says as she's scarfing down still warm chocolate chip oatmeal buttery cookies).

MrsShrubs · 10/12/2013 00:17

Congratulations super

So many babies born over the last couple of days Flowers

Have been looking forward to bed all day and all I've had is DH nudging me in the ribs in his sleep everytime I've been just about to drop off or him twitching like mad and now the heartburn is so so bad I've had to give up and come downstairs to nurse a bottle of gaviscon Sad

SupermansGirl · 10/12/2013 06:35

Was woken up by this pain every time i roll over in bed it would hurt my stomach! Went to the toilet everything was "healthy" (tmi) and so got back into bed i felt this massive low down sort of jolt were my whole belly shock and now started having cramps and lower back pains

froubylou · 10/12/2013 06:36

Congratulations bumpy! Wondered where you had got to!

And congratulations super. Sounds a lovely proposal. Do you know when you will get married?

Had a lovely bonus yesterday. Saw one of my school run friends who has a baby boy at just coming up to 5 months and she asked me if either me or my sister who is due in march wantdd her swingy crib.

I really wanted one originally but my other sister offered me her cot so it seemed a waste. Accepted the crib with my sister in mind. DP went to collect it last night and it is beautiful so staying here lol.

Is dark, chunky pine. Very sturdy and immaculate.

So sister having other sisters cot. And I am going shopping later for a new mattress and mobile.

Got to have my blood done later at hospital ready for Friday. Then last minute Christmas shopping to get done. And bits for new crib.

PistachioTruffle · 10/12/2013 07:21

Hello all! Sorry for the delay in posting, baby pistachio arrived on Saturday, we just got home last night after staying in to try and get feeding and things sorted Grin Congratulations to all the other new mummies, there's been a flurry of babies it seems!

mumoftwoboysS · 10/12/2013 07:25

My god that was the worst sleep ever. mogz had same as you except accompanied with bump going hard.

So I think these are practice contractions- painful BH with bump going rock solid, pain right into foof and to bum not sure how regular but was woken every half hour with one lasting up to a minute ALL night. Had something similar with dc1 exactly a week before he was born.

Feel like a zombie...

mumoftwoboysS · 10/12/2013 07:26

Sorry cross posted- congratulations pistachio! Boy or girl? Hope the birth was ok?

BetterWithCheese · 10/12/2013 07:32

Ooh, Mogz has another thread - sounds like she's in labour!!

extracrunchy · 10/12/2013 07:37

Hi - sorry I've been AWOL, been a bit fed up having basically what you just described, mumoftwo, but since last Thurs. Initially thought proper contractions but on 2cm, baby not distressed, so hanging in there and yesterday they just stopped! Anyway...

Massive congratulations to all those with new babies!! Loads has happened in the last few days Smile and lots of luck and oxytocin (right..?) to those starting to move.

Ooh and yay for super's engagement! DH-to-be sounds definitely sounds like a keeper. And happy bday! Wonder if your pains will lead to anything today - busy couple of days if so!

Hope everyone's well and not too exhausted.

mumoftwoboysS · 10/12/2013 08:42

extra since last thurs? I'd be fed up too- one night was enough! But on the plus side it means your body is definitely gearing up for it! How many weeks are you?

extracrunchy · 10/12/2013 08:55

38 weeks so not overdue or anything but did get hopeful for a bit!

SupermansGirl · 10/12/2013 09:02

My waters have gone! At the hospital contractions 6 mins apart....keep u updated! Gd luck mogs congrats pistachio!!!

extracrunchy · 10/12/2013 09:05

YAY SUPER!!!! Hope it's quick and easy. Best week ever Grin

Alyssa1978 · 10/12/2013 09:09

Huge massive congrats to everyone who gave birth and to everyone in labour .....puuusssnhhhhhh Grin

Sorry I've been AWOL but have been ill with blood pressure etc.
I went to the doctors after mw forgot the bp monitor and it was 170/105 needless to say I was ill...worst headache ever and I had no energy to even talk.
Doctor was worried I had post partum pre eclampsia didnt even know that existed
I was put in a 24 hour bp monitor and wasn't allowed any strong pain killers as breast feeding which they didnt want to mess it up Sad
He also put me on meds to lower the bp which make my headache 10 times worse trust me to get that side effect
For a few days I was like a zombie and my headache never went away, so I only had paracetamol and ibuprofen to help it didnt

Results from 24 hour monitor were raised even when I was asleep but I woke up yesterday feeling tons better and bp down to 140/90 which is a huge difference and my headaches have gone.

It was all very scary for a while and I'm convinced its my body telling me its had enough so Lleyton is definately our last Sad I honestly don't think my body would handle it again.

So if any of you feel ill like that after delivery don't assume or let anyone tell you it's normal after giving birth, if I hadn't gone to the doctors my bp would have continued to rise.

Again a huge congrats to all the beautiful babies.

Anyone have a Madela swing electric breast pump?
Just bought one as the manual one sucks monkey balls lol Grin my hand was cramping up and Lleyton is on me constantly.....using me as a dummy most of the time I'm sure but he seems like he constantly snacks and doesn't do the long feeds.

Alyssa1978 · 10/12/2013 09:11

Yay super congrats on your engagement and sending you quick painless vibes xx

BohemianRaspberry · 10/12/2013 09:39

Okay - this isn't fair ... why is everyone else getting their babies?! It's just gonna be me on this thread at this rate! Good luck to all the labouring ladies today!

Got gasman coming "at some point this afternoon". One part of me hopes I won't go into labour before then ... the other part of me thinks "do it, just go".

mum same as you had the rubbish night's sleep with junior moving and kicking accompanied by hard bump but no rhythm to it whatsoever. Genuinely getting fed up now.

itsliz · 10/12/2013 10:16

Oh wow, it's all going on this week isn't it?! There were 5 new baby announcements over on the FB group yesterday and now all of this Grin

Huge congratulations to you Pistachio! Glad to hear you're home now, hope you and baby are doing well?

Superman it really does sound like you're having the best week ever! Hope everything goes ok at the hospital. Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Bohemian, I know the feeling! Although sod's law would dictate that you'll go into labour just before the gas man arrives so you never know... Fingers crossed you do, if only to prove a point to the gas company Grin

Still no sign of anything exciting happening here. I've got a day of waiting in for parcels to arrive, blogging, baking, nursery decorating and yoga ahead though so at least there's no danger of getting bored while I wait for this baby to make an appearance!

mumoftwoboysS · 10/12/2013 10:40

extra I'm 38 wks too and wishful thinking that I'll be due any day too I think! I'm hoping for next week at least!

Good luck super - exciting!! Hope it goes well

alyssa poor you- glad you're feeling better now. I've never heard of post pregnancy pre eclampsia - thanks for letting us know so we can spot the signs too. I feel a bit like I'm pushing my luck with 3 so just hoping I get through this labour and birth ok then I'll count my blessings and no more babies for me!!

MummaDevon · 10/12/2013 11:22

Bohemian I'm with you, feels like I'm going to be pregnant forever, I'm due on Friday. Last night was Braxtons every ten mins with a rock solid bump and lower back pain so got all hopeful, then...nothing!

Congrats on all the new arrivals and good luck Super x

NomDeClavier · 10/12/2013 11:50

Gosh alyssa that sounds pretty awful. Glad you're on the mend though.

super congratulations! Your STB DH sounds lovely Grin and baby coming to top it all off Grin

pistachio huge congrats to you too! Babies all round.

I am so ready to go now, apart from dishwasher delivery tomorrow, teaching on Thursday and MIL not coming until Saturday. But sod all that Grin

BetterWithCheese · 10/12/2013 11:54

Well I'm 38 weeks today and seem to have developed SPD-boo! Very painful pubic bone but I saw osteopath this morning and am hoping he's worked his magic.

Good luck, Superman!

Dasie · 10/12/2013 13:02

Congratulations to all the new Mummys!! Sounds like almost everyone has given birth!!

Congrats Super on your engagement also and good luck with the labour!

I'm totally fed up of waiting now. I'm 41+3 today!! Had a sweep last Tuesday, a show Thursday and Friday n still no baby!! Going to MW appt shortly for another sweep so fingers crossed!!

violetbean · 10/12/2013 13:04

OK, maybe I should have been expecting this given yesterday's hospital visit, but I'm being induced today! Confused Shock I still had high blood pressure this morning and they found 1+ protein in my urine (and I have a UTI apparently) so the consultant said they should induce straight away, especially considering I'm 39+1 so not too risky to get him out.

I asked if I could go home first and get my hospital bag which isn't quite ready Blush and they said yes as long as I come straight back in.

Absolutely terrified! Confused Confused Confused

Mythreeknights · 10/12/2013 13:11

Hi everyone, I've just dropped in from the Jan antenatal group - wanted to wish all of you still waiting for your babies to come the BEST of luck and courage, waiting for it to start and not getting too impatient. It's been brilliant dipping into your thread to see what lies ahead for us - now we're only 5 weeks away or so from d-day it's getting v exciting seeing your birth stories and updates.

mumof fingers x for you in particular that all goes well and I can't wait to hear what you have. (We 'met' on one of the TTC boards and you got upduffed just before me Grin)

extracrunchy · 10/12/2013 15:24

Hi Mythree - I'm on this one too after all the weird dates Grin

Violet - lots and lots of luck. Very jealous you get to meet your LO so soon!!!
