Baby Olivia Christine Gordon was born at 1:53 this morning, weighing 6lbs 13.5 oz. she is wonderful. everything is fine with me. I'm just exhausted which is to be expected I guess.

BohemianRaspberry · 09/12/2013 09:23

Yay for whisper! She's adorable too Smile

I have decided to call the day a write-off. May just go walking around and around all day.

Getting jealous of all these cuties being born!

mumoftwoboysS · 09/12/2013 09:28

Many congrats Whisper bet you're so glad I finally meet her! Hope you manage to get some rest.

Who else has had babies then?!

froubylou · 09/12/2013 09:34

Massive congratulations whisper. Try and get some rest.

Think I need to join the fb group. Am missing out on photos!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 09/12/2013 09:54

BabyFrigg was born at home at 11:48pm last night,it's a GIRL,another fast labour, shocked but fine....and SO happy she's finally here Grin

MummaDevon · 09/12/2013 09:55

Same, who do I private message to join f/book group? Congrats Whisper!! :-)

Just having a hair cut then yet more waiting....come on baby!!!!

itsliz · 09/12/2013 10:12

Whisper and stom will be able to add you to the FB group (although stom is probably in more of a position to be able to sort that out at the moment!) Grin
Seeing all the photos of squishy newborn babies over there makes everything feels a bit more real!

A huge, great big congratulations to Whisper and UpThe on the birth of their little girls!
Just can't believe how many have been born overnight or are on their way now. It seems strange to think that while I'm asleep or doing something really normal and boring, somewhere else in the world someone's life is completely changing...

Superman I know how you feel about overdoing it as I keep doing the exact same thing! I'm my own worst enemy though - I know how bad my back gets if I do too much and I know I need to rest, but seeing all the things I need to do sitting in front of me is just too frustrating! Hope you're feeling a bit better now though Smile
Not sure if Westfield is a good idea as I get worn out doing laps of the place even when I'm not pregnant! If you do go then just make sure you schedule in plenty of rest stops and coffee breaks!

And of course big hugs to everyone else that's feeling rubbish at the moment Thanks

Ooh and as of today... the bean is fully baked!!! Grin I'm finally, officially full term!
I'm off to celebrate by ordering a few Christmas presents online, making lots of cakes and having a bounce on my exercise ball...

clare8allthepies · 09/12/2013 10:26

Wow it's all been going off here this weekend!

I have been following what's been happening but not really had a chance to post. My mum has been staying for the past 10 days and my sisters were up at the weekend to inspect the new arrival!

So today is the first day with no guests and DP at work, older child has been deposited at nursery, myself and Rose have now been fed so I'm off for a kip, if anybody dares to wake me up my wrath will be great! Grin

SupermansGirl · 09/12/2013 10:45

Liz me too my minime is fully baked today! Lets hope we start getting some signs!

Congrats Whisper & upthe enjoy your newborn cuddles and get some rest!

So many babies being born on my birthday, 21 today and taking advantage of DPs wallet in westfields for me Christmas/Birthday present :)

Stom91 · 09/12/2013 10:50

C

itsliz · 09/12/2013 10:50

Superman Fingers crossed! The only signs I've had are stabby pains between the legs, which I assume is just baby getting lower... Or maybe engaging?!

Ooh and Happy Birthday!!! It's my birthday next Monday - I told you us due date buddies all seem to have things in common! Grin
Hope you have a lovely day and get spoilt rotten on your shopping spree!

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 09/12/2013 10:51

pic of Olivia is on my profile if you want a nosey

Stom91 · 09/12/2013 10:52

Congrats whisper &upthe :D
Enjoy your day super

Those want to join the fb group just message me a link to your profile ...

On a downer today - won't depress you with the details.
I've just had enough of pregnancy and pain and feel utterly useless - I feel like such a let down.

Hope you all have a good Monday :) xx

ccsays · 09/12/2013 12:09

Morning all, congrats on the new babs! I'm afraid I'm much better at keeping up in the Facebook group than I am here, but hope you're all doing well.

Sitting at home waiting for this fucking snuzpod. Due to the weight of the order, they can't tell me when it's going to be delivered (???) sometime between 8am-7pm apparently.

I did get a wee trip to wholefoods yesterday though and have been munching my way through walnut, raisin and mulled wine Xmas Grin bread with Nutella on it, so it's not all bad.

ccsays · 09/12/2013 12:10

Why do you feel like a let down, Stom?

Dusty04 · 09/12/2013 12:36

Congratulations whisper and upthe :)

I thought I'd have more time to check the form now I'm on maternity leave but seem so busy! 37+4 now and no signs of this baby shifting anytime soon.. No pains, niggles, cramps, BH nothing.. I think he/she is going to be a January baby :)

BohemianRaspberry · 09/12/2013 12:50

stom - I'm getting sick of it too! And congrats upthe!

ccsays you have a wholefoods near you? I really wish we did - I love that place - so many different kinds of tea and nibbly goodness

So ... managed to stride and storm around town for an hour and a half with nothing ... a pain free day so far, what the hell? I'm going backwards!!!

Spending the afternoon on my ball and going to bend and flex to paint my toenails.

NomDeClavier · 09/12/2013 12:57

Late pregnancy is a bugger.

My MIL has decided she now isn't going to show up until Saturday. I've been losing bits of plug and having reasonably regular BH, with definite baby engaging type feelings, since Friday night. Who wants to bet she won't make it?!

cc I need to organise my snuzpod delivery. When I couldn't get it with the rest of my order I said to send it to my parents it apparently the company are willing to courier it to me if I want.

Painting toenails sounds an excellent plan.

ccsays · 09/12/2013 13:04

No, no...it's not really near us, I just like the wanky food Xmas Blush There's one on the edge of Glasgow, it's about an hours drive from here. BUT we were going to see DP's Grandma yesterday and she lives quite close to it, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to spend £30 on four overpriced items visit. I may have got DP up extra early one one of his last weekends off before the baby comes so we could go Xmas Blush (the chipotle pulled pork baguette is really good though).

Go chatting to a nice lady with two small boys who said if I felt the need to scream in labour, don't make high pitched noises because it'll make me tense up and cause more pain. Instead I should make 'low guttural noises, like a cow' Xmas Grin.

mumoftwoboysS · 09/12/2013 13:16

supermans I don't know what I'm having (the torture!) now thinking it could be a girl but not sure if that's a wish rather than a gut feeling. I'd be over the moon with either, just thinking some oestrogen may balance out the boyishness in our house Smile

Many congrats upthe so how fast was your labour?? I'm expecting a fast one-yikes. And sorry can't remember what/how many do you already have? Hope you can get a bit of rest now!

ancelynthecraven · 09/12/2013 13:37

Whisper! So happy for you and Baby Olivia. Got a tear in my eye.
A mini whovian to be sure.

I went in because I've been mental with itching over the weekend and had reduced movements.
Left with induction date of next Tuesday and had a stretch and sweep.
Exciting times but blame DH who spoke to mini ancelyn and told him/ her to come before Christmas. At least bump is listening to one of us !

Mogz · 09/12/2013 13:45

Wonderful news Whisper and Upthe! Congratulations Smile

froubylou · 09/12/2013 14:01

Congratulations upthe!

And Olivia is gorgeous whisper.

Stom we all have days like that. Big higs.

After 3 hours of frantic cleaning I collapsed on sofa and been fast asleep. No more cramps but fairly regular bhs and tightenings.

Don't want to panic and go in though unless I have to. Have got to have bloods done tomorrow so might nip up to labour ward then for a looksee if they let me.

Don't want them doing internal exams though and making any slow labour speed up!

Downloaded a contraction ap so going to use that later. I would just be carrying on as normal at this stage if he wasn't breech.

Norty baby.

violetbean · 09/12/2013 14:20

Shit, I'm so scared, haven't felt baby move this morning and they've told me to come in to be checked. Sitting on the bus on the way to hospital, freaking out and feeling like crap because of this stupid cold. 39 weeks today. Luckily DH's work are flexible so he's coming to meet me at the hospital. Argh! Sad

Mogz · 09/12/2013 14:25

Voilet try to stay calm, you're on your way to the best place for these things. In late pregnancy baby is a lot less active as it just doesn't have the room for crazy acrobatics any more, so it could simply be having a quiet day. Los of good lick vibes being sent your way that as soon as they hook you up to the monitor baby starts wriggling like a good 'un.
