MummaDevon · 08/12/2013 10:08

very exciting Whispher!

Well I'm confused, my 3am pain continued every half an hour till 5am, when I had a warm bath, then nothing!!! I remember that lower back pain from my first, there was no mistaking it!!! Bit of a stop-start situation!!

Congratulations sore!

lisbapalea · 08/12/2013 11:05

After lots of nagging by me to dh (which made me feel like some kind of Les Dawson housewife joke), we now have an assembled cot and a presentable baby's room!
DD helped with the cot construction which was very sweet - she is very proud of her 'engineering' (thanks Nina and the Neurons on Cbeebies for that word!).

We also now have Christmas decs down from the loft so I am going to spend next week, my last week of freedom, getting the house looking festive. The list of things to do is finally shrinking!

Am 38wks today and no signs at all of anything kicking off naturally so just on the 9day countdown until elcs on 17th!

Good luck to those of you on the home straight - seems there will be news of lots of Dec thread babies in the next few days!

13loki · 08/12/2013 11:05

Congratulations sore

froubylou · 08/12/2013 15:23

Glad to hear you are ok whisper. Assume lots happening for you now!

Am in a vile mood lol. Feel very pmtish and keep getting random cramps too. Told off both DP and DD for not helping at home. And not putting stuff away the minute I ask!

I don't think they realise how much work it is to keep the 3 of us fed, clothed in clean stuff, the dog fed and walked and the house relatively tidy. Am looking forward to 2 weeks on the sofa ordering them around. Especially DP who is oblivious to what needs doing every fucking day pmsl.

Got a leg of minted lamb in slow cooker and just trying to get enough energy together to peel some spuds and veg.

mumoftwoboysS · 08/12/2013 15:26

Well 13loki that's not bad! I'll settle for a similar labour to that! Can you remind me were you overdue with this one? Wit my first 2 being on time I'm not sure what to expect with this one!

Stom91 · 08/12/2013 15:53

Hellooo
frouby don't worry I'm still alive!! Lol
Moved house this weekend so been busy cleaning the old flat (as we couldn't afford a cleaner, so me and mum deep cleaned it ourselves) then unpacked a few boxes last night and just finished the last few!! So in a lovely warm house with everything in it's place and do has even put the cot up and put all dd clothes in te drawers (though in going to wash then all and re-do it in a organised order haha )

Sorry I haven't been on much. I was so tired. Moved house at 38 weeks pregnant is hard work!!! Had a crappy night sleep but I think I had loads on my mind I just wanted to unpack at 3am lol don't think dp would have appreciated it though.
It's so dark in this house I went to the loo and walked into the book shelf lol oops

so 2 weeks until due date and I've had no inkling that baby will be arriving anytime soon!! I've had nothing zilch!! So I feel your pain rose, I really think I'm still going to be pregnant in January!!

Had a bit of a panic this morning well was a panic but I was just to dp and I just couldn't help think can I look after a baby!? What if I do something wrong? Or can't stop her crying or I'm a bad mum? Dp said in going to be amazing but there just this niggle that's in my head.
It starting to feel so real. And don't even get me started on contractions!! I'm shitting it if I'm perfectly honest!! :(

Congrats sore
whisper hope there is a baby soon!!
Xx

13loki · 08/12/2013 16:36

mum Älfi was 39+4, DS was 41+3, DD1 was 37+3, so no pattern.

astonvanilla · 08/12/2013 17:44

Just checking in quickly as it's been a mad day! Baby Edward arrived this morning six days early and i am now home with him. Good luck to you all x

Mogz · 08/12/2013 17:50

Aww Stom those are perfectly natural thoughts to be having as a first time mum, heck I think that even people on two, three and four or more still get them! So many hormones and so much unknown, I know I'm feeling pretty damn scared about having to be responsible for a new life. I know my DH and I are a strong unit though and we are very lucky to have a small but reliable circle of family and friends to ask for help.
Hope you're enjoying the new place, and being warm!

Huge congrats Aston and baby Edward, hope you're all doing well Thanks

MrsShrubs · 08/12/2013 17:58

Massive congratulations aston Flowers you were due the same day as me, now I'm so depressed you're getting newborn snuggles and I'm not!

Stom91 · 08/12/2013 18:24

Congrats aston very jealous of your newborn snuggles!

Thanks mogz yea I know it's normal but I feel guilty for thinking it. I have an amazing family so there will always be someone there & dp is amazing I know we are going to be a perfect lil family
& the warmth is amazing lol

astonvanilla · 08/12/2013 18:45

Sorry MrsShrubs! your turn will be here soon!

MrsS28 · 08/12/2013 19:04

Hi All

Haven't checked in for a while, been in hospital since Friday lunchtime being induced-still no baby! They're ready to move me onto Labour Suite and break my waters but it's so busy down there, I'm just waiting for my slot. Hopefully we won't be waiting long and we'll have a baby by morning!

Congrats Aston!

Stom -well done on the big move, I did the same as you at 38 weeks last time and it's hard work!! Time to get nesting!

Those who asked me about itching and obstetric cholestasis - definitely insist on being tested as they've missed mine twice. I'll post some more details once I have chance!

Mogz · 08/12/2013 19:11

What a stubborn baby MrsS28! What has your induction been like so far, if you don't mind me asking? I'm now pretty sure I'm going to end up getting induced on Thursday and its not something I've given much thought to before, really should quiz the MW about it tomorrow. Best wishes for a baby by morning!

MrsS28 · 08/12/2013 19:30

Mogz- long and boring! But I'm being induced due to OC and my due date's not til Weds so baby's just not ready to come yet!! Are you overdue?

SupermansGirl · 08/12/2013 19:57

Need to finish my xmas shopping tomorrow is it a good idea me and DP walk around westfields? Its 15 minutes drive from his house but he doesnt have a car at the moment so were getting cab there and back? Hes panicing and now made me double think?

Sherbet27 · 08/12/2013 19:59

Did you have a sweep beforehand Mrs?
Im being induced on Tuesday when ill be 39+1 due to cholestatis im worried now :(

BohemianRaspberry · 08/12/2013 20:19

I think go super

BH are ramping up now in intensity and starting to hopefully fall into a pattern, but I will probably be here tomorrow anyway.

froubylou · 08/12/2013 20:56

Ouchy.

Just had the second evening of really bad cramps, BHs followed by a mad dash for a big poo. Cramps really low down combined with shooting pains up my flue and bum. Nice.

Baby having a good wiggle and a kick.

Oh and I wee'd myself a bit as well running for the loo.

Still a bit achey in my back and bum and get the odd cramp but nothing regular.

I don't need to worry do I? Might want baby cuddles but he is still breech so don't want to go into active labour. Especially on a Sunday night!

Hope we have some baby news soon though! Just not from me yet lol.

lisbapalea · 08/12/2013 21:01

Urgh - just discovered my delightful daughter has generously given me nits!!!

How come I managed to avoid them as a child but get the critters aged 36?! Bending over a sink combing through sections of hair is not an ideal task at 38wks preg!

My challenge now is to make sure they're all sent packing before this baby turns up - the thoughtof dealing with nits and a newborn is too bloody much!

SupermansGirl · 08/12/2013 21:06

Oh my lis not good! Has anyone else got them in household? My profession is hairdressing but I only do it mobile now and I got them from my niece last year so was out of work for a whole trying to get rid of them!

All of them spreys/shampoos only kill the lice not the eggs so beware you make think there gone but keep continuing to do them.

Coloured my hair today bent over the bath for 15 minutes and I now feel like im about to snap I feel your pain!!

lisbapalea · 08/12/2013 21:15

Ah, thanks for the sympathy supermansgirl. DD has them from her cousin, my niece. On mumsnet advice I have now got the nitty gritty comb and will be doing DD and myself every other day for the week to get the full life cycle of eggs and lice, so am crossing fingers that it works!!
