SupermansGirl · 07/12/2013 22:10

Has anyone had these sharp shooting pains starting in lower stomach going down into vagina area? Also accompanied by lots of movements by baby? I just had two lots of the shooting pains :( took my breathe away

Mogz · 07/12/2013 22:26

Been getting those for weeks Super, they are worst when baby has a big wriggle and its head rotates a bit, they stop me in my tracks. MW said it was a good thing really as it means baby is very low. Seeing as they do hurt it might be worth you asking your MW for advice though.

Chelsealady · 07/12/2013 22:35

Super pre warning you I asked the same question on this thread about 10 hours before I was pushing DD out Grin

I got a few of them through last few weeks then one night i got loads and then i had a massive one and felt my water pop. Think its babies head pushing down?

BohemianRaspberry · 07/12/2013 23:19

super it's the head pushing down and I'm the opposite of chelesea had it for two weeks now!

Got really, got into bed and the stupid braxtons have started again. Another night of sporadic sleep I reckon. Booo

Chelsealady · 07/12/2013 23:27

Look on the bright side if they started up again this may be it Bohemian is everything ready to grab?

I was so unprepared, hospital bag wasn't packed were i was in hospital and used it previously, had to get my neighbour to drive me to hosp!

SupermansGirl · 07/12/2013 23:32

Thanks Mogs, chelsea&Bohemian I hope I take after you chelsea!! Im fed up of being pregnant just want to meet him/her now.

Had a horrendous argument with DP two days ago only just started talking to him again and he's gone out with work and Im now getting the drunk "I love you so much" texts Hmm

MildredH · 07/12/2013 23:49

So- I had a sweep today and I think I might have just had a few proper contractions in the last half hour.. 10x more painful than the BH's I've had for weeks and weeks..

I know this could be a slow road but I don't know whether to be excited or scared!

Mogz · 08/12/2013 02:22

It's ok to be a bit of both Mildred

MummaDevon · 08/12/2013 03:30

Congrats Sorelip
Ok so I woke for a loo run at half two, then at 3am had the most horrendous lower pain...this could be the start of something?! Time will tell!

froubylou · 08/12/2013 05:04

oh exciting time mumma.

Still no baby whisper or pistachio? Sigh.

And stom seems to have gone awol too or have I missed something.

I'm awake for the millionanth time tonight. Sigh. Hips really, really achey unless I lay on my back with legs wide open like a dead frog lol. Which gets baby all wiggly. And I am hungry. Sigh.

Mogz · 08/12/2013 05:37

Frouby no word on here yet, don't know about the FB group though as I'm not on it, maybe they're just too busy being loved up with new babies!
I had to get up for a ham sandwich at about 3 because I was worried my grumbling stomach would wake the neighbours! Haven't been back to sleep since, am instead watching lots of science based YouTube videos, like SciShow and Brain Scoop.
Hope you've managed to drift back off to sleep, I really should try as my dad is coming over this afternoon and I'd feel guilty if I was asleep. I'm sure he wouldn't mind though, he and DH would just sit and chat computers until they decide its time for a donut and cake run. The men in my family are typical sugar rush geeks Grin love 'em.
Any progress Mumma?

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 08/12/2013 07:16

I ended up being brought back to the antenatal ward about 10pm last night after waiting 6 hours for someone to be available to break my waters yesterday. I have managed to get quite a bit of sleep and am waiting to be taken down to the labour suite once more. hopefully this time they will actually do stuff...sorry I have no baby for you to coo at yet frouby

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 08/12/2013 08:04

40+2

(But my other DC were born at 39 & 39+4 so I feel massively overdue!)

I swear this baby is never coming out Sad

I can have another sweep today, and then one on Tuesday.
After that I'll have to wait until 40+11 before they'll talk induction (which is Not a road I want to go down anyway!) I'm SO fed up.

Tons of BH,cramping, nesting, fatigue, lost some plug etc...cervix was soft and then not...I'm in pain for no sodding reason!

BetterWithCheese · 08/12/2013 09:07

UpThe I reckon when it happens it'll all go very quickly and smoothly. Honestly I'm beginning to really think that third ones are the most frustrating, there's been a few threads on here about the start-stop teasing of third ones and I met with a friend the other day who has four but third was a slower labour than 2 and 4.

Good luck for today whisper, glad you got some sleep.

Well I had some snot-line substance in my knickers this morning. I find it odd that I am pleased about something so gross Grin

mumoftwoboysS · 08/12/2013 09:25

Many congrats sore sorry you're finding it difficult with not being able to do stuff- must be frustrating.

Sorry to all of those in pain/fed up! Sending 'progressive' labour vibes your way.

I'm 38 wks today and now thinking baby won't be budging for at least 10 days. Had loads of pressure yesterday - felt like his/her head was in my bum!

School run is going to be interesting the last 2 weeks! Had a lovely lie in but was ruined by nightmare about a fight with my mum- woke up heart racing...

mumoftwoboysS · 08/12/2013 09:28

better I'm hoping it's not true about 3rd babies- I don't want a stop start labour- and worse to be overdue! My last mw smugly told me about this every time she saw me (I think she forgot she'd already told me). Maybe we'll prove her wrong and or 3rds won't dilly dally around!

13loki · 08/12/2013 09:41

mum Älfi is my 3rd. I had a few days of niggly, painful contractions for a few hours at a time. Then it started properly at about 3pm, got to the point of calling babysitter at 6pm, in hospital at 8pm, had her 9:12 that night.
