haha oh upthefriggin sorry I queue jumped. if it's any consolation it bloody hurt :( been for a walk today and now back home in the bath warming up. baby hasn't moved much today either so I'm a little worrried. got a scan at 3 and then going to the ward to see the doctor to see what the plan is.

Mogz · 05/12/2013 12:27

Hope everything's ok Whisper
Still here, and still bloody pregnant. 40+3 now and as irratable as a bear with a burnt backside!
Have sent DH out for crunchy bread and rottisary chicken, bit scared he'll get blown off course by the wind though, it's powerful blowy. I'm staying tucked up under my duvet for a bit.

extracrunchy · 05/12/2013 12:56

I'm on monitor at hosp - things might be starting Shock

Alyssa1978 · 05/12/2013 13:12

Ooh extra more contractiony dust sent your way, hope you're enjoying newborn snuggles soon.

Well mw turned up with no bp machine Angry so she made me an appt at my gps to get checked over to be on the safe side. My whole face hurts Sad

Mogz · 05/12/2013 13:21

Good luck extra hope it all goes quickly and easily for you.
Alyssa feel better soon Sad

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 05/12/2013 13:31

oooh good luck extra
hope everything is okay alyssa

extracrunchy · 05/12/2013 13:56

Bloody going home again. Grr. 1-2cm, period pain and only irregular contractions. This morning had really severe pain on one side with contractions - turns out madam was being contracted onto a nerve, but she's moved now so just normal early stages. Will update Grin

extracrunchy · 05/12/2013 13:56

Alyssa hope you're ok - silly MW...

BohemianRaspberry · 05/12/2013 15:12

Well after a quiet morning, twitching appears to be present. Went for coffee with two of the ladies from my class today and I seem to be the most impatient.

crunchy the to-ing-and-fro-ing must be so frustrating and alyssa what kind of MW would forget the BP machine? It's the first thing my MWs do!

Mogz bread and chicken sounds so good right now - I've just eaten last night's samosas heated up and they were heavenly.

Really hoping my MW checks my dilation tomorrow, I'm tired of not knowing anything.

Mogz · 05/12/2013 16:17

Aww extra being sent home sucks. A friend of mine was sent home from the hospital twice, on the second trip home she ended up having her baby delivered by her DH in the back of a taxi at the side of the dual carriage way! None of our friendship group had managed to beat that birth story yet!
Bohemian sending you lots of powerful vibes to get those twitches going properly.
Lunch was yummy, DH managed not to get swept away, although he did have to do some impromptu fence repairs when he got back as the damn thing has shaken free of its nails and was flapping about like a rather ungainly fledgling.
Nothing more exciting than a nose bleed to report here.

MrsShrubs · 05/12/2013 16:20

Had my 38 MW appointment and baby is way gown, they could barely feel his head and his back is at the front so all looking good there and so relieved they won't make me wait 2 weeks till my next appointment as I'm always ahead by 5 days so will see them next Saturday which is my DD. Unfortunately they have said if I go over they won't induce me before or over Christmas at the standard 11days, it would be the 27th dec. Also wouldn't give me a sweep until 41weeks so I have washed and ironed our bed sheets (I never iron the bed sheets) to try and tempt fate and my waters into breaking tonight- someone else on here gave me the idea! And have ordered DH that we are going to be DTD as much as possible over the next few weeks to help things along!

SupermansGirl · 05/12/2013 16:32

Ahhh been on my feet all day and just sat down. Done 6 clients one after the other which done me in being on my feet. Then wrapped all the presents and stuck them under the tree.

Im hoping i don't go into labour as a tree down my road has fallen down and my mum wont be able to get the car out so that means a cab which will be embarrassing.

Mrs I read that the more you dtd the more likely you are to go into labour just the odd occasion doesn't really make a difference...wonder if its true?

Bohemian and extra I have my fingers crossed for both of you that soon things get somewhere for you as you both sound very fed up.

Any news with Whisper?

SupermansGirl · 05/12/2013 16:35

Also is anyone feeling a bit more emotional in these last few weeks? I cried at a lingerie advert today because I knew I would never look like that ha!

MrsShrubs · 05/12/2013 17:08

supermansgirl yes me!! I said it to the MW today and she said its completely natural and it's another hormone surge right at the final hurdle. I feel like I'm on the verge of tears most of the time. Hope you can now get your feet up!!

MrsS28 · 05/12/2013 17:26

MrsShrubs I tried that! I got the sofa professionally cleaned thinking Sod's law would surely dictate that I'd lose a gush of waters all over it! No such luck x

Stom91 · 05/12/2013 18:28

Whisper is being induced tomorrow :)

Pretty much all packed bar the kitchen but I'm knackered so dp can do that lol

Having takeaway tonight. & dp said we can go for a meal tomorrow as it's the last time we will go out for a meal for a while :)

Mogz · 05/12/2013 18:40

Thanks fr the update Stom. Enjoy your takeaway.

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 05/12/2013 18:52

Hello Xmas Smile

I am getting induced tomorrow after having reduced movements for two days. Got to ring up at 8am tomorrow to find out my time. EEK!

Mogz · 05/12/2013 18:54

Eeek, how exciting Whisper, best of luck to you for tomorrow.

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 05/12/2013 19:01

Thanks mogz I'll keep you all updated. Having a pj and takeaway night for our last night of freedom.

itsliz · 05/12/2013 19:11

Ooooh exciting stuff, Whisper! Sounds like the perfect way to spend your last night of being just the two of you Smile
Hope you get plenty of chance to relax this evening before the big day. We'll all be thinking of you (and waiting patiently for little Peanut to finally open its legs, haha!)

Chelsealady · 05/12/2013 19:21

How exciting Whisper yaaay. Never new they induced you because of reduced movements. Good luck!

extracrunchy · 05/12/2013 19:49

Ooh Whisper that's exciting!! Hope you get some good rest tonight.

My contractions are getting stronger but still irregular, so putting DS to bed and getting babysitter round a bit later just in case. And vigorously bouncing on gym ball!

MrsShrubs · 05/12/2013 20:15

Anyone else's frouf feel sore? I feel as though I've ridden a bike all day or something!

Roselau · 05/12/2013 20:23

whisper best of luck!! enjoy your last night :)
extra hope it speeds up for you

so i just came back from getting brazilian wax (I can't bear the thought of the whole world seeing my un-groomed fouf - I'll take a bit of dignity wherever I can...)

Anyways, I haven't properly been able to see down there in a few months now, and when she passed me a mirror to take a look and make sure she did an ok job, my fouf was 3X it's normal size!!!!!!! is that normal?! does it increase in size / swell in preparation for childbirth?! it was so freaky. I hope it shrinks back to normal size. No wonder my dh doesn't want to dtd. it's scary looking.
