Mogz · 04/12/2013 18:41

Grin I've been tempted to catapult her out several times, pesky cat! I'm not too worried about it, she's such a placid girl and she's only using it at the moment because its the quietest place in the house, and that'll change! Plus we've bought her a nice radiator bed to curl up in.
Chelsea it's nice to hear your doggies are doing ok with the new addition, they're going to grow to love her so much, and she them. Growing up with pets is awesome.
Extra hopefully those pesky contractions will come back soon for you.
Thanks for the reassurance about not having a show yet everyone, I just want some clear signs that things might start happening, I want to meet my baby! We've had fajitas for dinner, DH made them waaaay too hot for my tastes, which might be a good thing, who knows.

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 18:54

Mogz get him to make more and smoke that baby out!!

Alyssa1978 · 04/12/2013 18:59

Happy to hear you're home now chelsea

whisper sounds very much like you're in labour Hun... Good luck and speedy delivery xx

meandbumpy here's hoping you're flying through delivery now and ready to meet your little one soon.

Alyssa1978 · 04/12/2013 19:14

extra there's nothing worse than stop/start labour, it did my head in lol fingers crossed things start moving faster for you soon xx

PistachioTruffle · 04/12/2013 19:23

We got the angelcare nappy bin for half price, so £7.49, which I thought was a reasonable price to pay. You can print off the voucher from the angelcare website, I'll have a look and see if I can find it. I preferred this one to tommy tippee as the tt one is tiny, you'd have to bend down really far to get the nappy in!

PistachioTruffle · 04/12/2013 19:24

Here we go:

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 20:14

Alyssa, how long did Lleyton tease you in the end?!

Alyssa1978 · 04/12/2013 21:13

extra from the first pain he came 51 hours later Confused

Very slow labour, pains every 5 to 10 minutes that never let up lol xx

BetterWithCheese · 04/12/2013 21:18

Also here's the Tommee Tippee bin on Amazon for £10.21. My mate has this one, seems good.

itsliz · 04/12/2013 21:30

Ooh thanks for the links to the bargain nappy bins, ladies! For that sort of price, I'm tempted to just get one anyway and see how we get on with it.

LadyMedea · 04/12/2013 21:51

Ooh whisper we can do this together!

Walk to Chinese and consumption of Chinese seems to have done the trick as contractions are back.

I'm using my TENS machine as contractions are getting ouchy... Seems to be quite effective at taking the edge off. Looks like this baby might be born on its due date - tomorrow.

MrsShrubs · 04/12/2013 22:05

So glad you're both home now chelsea

I feel like its all kicking off again tonight, another influx of babies born tomorrow by the sounds of things between here and Facebook!!

Chelsealady · 04/12/2013 22:07

What an unwanted surprise at my door I have had tonight....a grovelling, crying ex boyfriend begging to see his daughter. I feel stupid I let him come in and meet her and I told him if he wants to be around he has to help me. The idiot only tried to get back with me!?!?!? Who does he think I am? As if that was on my mind anyway iv just given birth. Seriously were are some males brains these days.

Rant over:) how are all the lovely ladies with things happening...iv lost count of how many of you there are now!

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 22:26

Exciting, Lady! And Whisper, how are you getting on?

Chelsea I wouldn't discuss anything with him till things are a bit more settled with you and bubs. You've just given birth - you're not in the right place to make decisions like this, and you shouldn't have to be. Sorry you're dealing with this!

Alyssa, that sounds horrendous. You are seriously Superwoman!! Mine have huge breaks in between so hopefully won't be as bad. In fact could be just slow, occasional buildup. Have had nothing since about 5, so not counting on any progress tonight/this week!

SupermansGirl · 04/12/2013 22:39

Any room for one more in the Inn? 36+3 tomorrow DC1!

No symptoms, no pains but still defiantly over being pregnant! Depressed that still haven't even lost my plug anyone in the same pregnancy boat as me?

Roselau · 04/12/2013 23:37

superman same boat, only I'm 37+4. nothing happening here.
I walked for 1.5 hours and did a 1.5 hour yoga class to try and get things moving. nada. ate half a pineapple. nada.

I can't stop eating.

Roselau · 04/12/2013 23:39

chelsea i agree with extra. this is not the time to make a big decision. he did this to himself. he can wait a few weeks for things to start normalizing before having this conversation. this is a really shitty situation. but on the plus side, you have your little angel Indy to cuddle. xx

mumoftwoboysS · 04/12/2013 23:41

its I haven't got one of those bins (sorry maybe my post sounded like I do) but I can see the benefit! I tend to hurl the nappy in Nappy sack out the room then collect it when I go downstairs. But occasionally have had a pile up and the smell isn't pleasant so a bin would be far more pleasant!

Can't bloody sleep again. Baby is moving but not doing the usual gymnastics so instead of staying awake due to too much prodding now I'm awake worrying baby isn't his/her usual energetic self! And stuffy nose and restless leg aren't helping. Can't sleep if I can't breathe thru my nose so I'm sniffling and snorting trying to clear it. Really want to use some Vicks or Sinex nasal spray but not sure if it's safe during pregnancy?...

mumoftwoboysS · 04/12/2013 23:44

Me too superman 37+ 3 and have aches and pains but no positive signs of labour - thought I was losing my mucus plug but nothing more for days so don't think if was....

SupermansGirl · 04/12/2013 23:44

Ahh Rose so glad to hear I'm not the only one. I still dont even get tightenings or bh? Well at least I don't think i do.

SupermansGirl · 04/12/2013 23:51

Mumof I'm a bit worried I wont no what labour is...as its my first and I have had no aches or pains yet. I was discussing with an ex colleague today about whether people have no signs and just go into labour unexpectedly. I tried looking for any stories on google could not find any so was not very reassuring!

Chelsealady · 04/12/2013 23:58

Rose and Extra thanks for the support I know what you are saying. I am ignoring him until I know what I am doing which will not be getting back with him!

Superman I had an unexpected labour it is possible and my due date was 1 day later than yours if iv worked it out correctly. Hang on in there he/she has to come out at one point even if it is by force in the end! Also remember your nit technically even full term so chin up love the end is in sight! Make the most of sleep and being without child!

mumoftwoboysS · 05/12/2013 00:00

Well you may get signs but it's easy to miss them- you may lose your mucus plug but for some they either don't see it or it may just come out right before labour. Some get light contractions on and off for days before proper labour kicks in, with me my waters break then that's it, full on labour with no other prior warnings! So it is hard to tell but don't worry as it's more than likely with your first that when contractions start they'll build slowly and you'll realise if they get closer together and stronger. I did have a practice run with my first- had contractions for a few hours exactly a week before then he real thing a week later!

mumoftwoboysS · 05/12/2013 00:02

Oh and you may be getting BH but just not realise it. It can feel like baby is pushing hard on your belly, almost like they're trying to stretch it. And it'll go hard for a minute or so. Right I'm going to try and sleep now...

MummaDevon · 05/12/2013 02:47

Oh I can't sleep... :-(

I always wake up at 2am and 5am every night for a wee (TMI sorry), but tonight is one of those nights where I appear to also be waking every hour in between too as I'm lying on the the wrong side. Then panicking I can't feel baby or just so bloody uncomfortable!
