Haha Whisper that baby clearly has strong opinions about laptops!

I've also been throwing dinner down my bump recently. Very elegant!

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 15:02

Mogz that's frustrating. You just be exhausted as well... Hope things pick up/you get some rest.

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 04/12/2013 15:03

oh itsliz I always tuck a teatowel into my top now because food always ends up all over my belly.

I think babyWhisper was objecting to me watching cat videos on youtube instead of being productive. Xmas Grin

BohemianRaspberry · 04/12/2013 15:15

Hey mogz I'm with you - I want to go too and was up until 4:30am just in constant backache, cramping and baby kicking through every single cramp and BH. Wish LO would just get on with it rather than just using my pelvic floor as a trampoline.

And, of course, I now feel fine and active again. I hope this isn't a backwards sign, pretty sure lost my plug on Monday (palm size glob of clearey gluey whitey-cream stuff like thick egg white?)

crunchy my bump seems to have become a crumb magnet, everything ends up down it. Managed to make some freezer food today - chicken and bacon cacciatore yay! May have earned myself a nice bath as I managed to splatter the bump too.

MrsShrubs · 04/12/2013 15:15

Glad it's not just me on the dinner spilling front, trying to eat with a tray is just disasterous!

Bought myself a ball and currently having a bounce, keep visualising poor baby in their wondering what the hell is suddenly going on!

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 04/12/2013 15:19

mrsshrubs I always think baby might like bouncing. I imagine it going WEEEEEE Grin

is a contraction when your belly goes tight and you get pain?

Mogz · 04/12/2013 15:23

You're doing better than me Bohemian, no sign of plug yet. But it is horrid to have so many hours of aches go no where isn't it? You have my sympathy.

I've taken to embracing the splattered and lost dinners, my shirts are now pieces of modern art, I think I'll let some of the better ones go crusty and enter them for the Turner Prize next year.

Alyssa1978 · 04/12/2013 15:34

Yep whisper that's a contraction Grin

When I'm labour the mw told me to have a bounce on the ball to help babies head press onto the cervix which causes it to dilate, so get bouncing ladies Smile

Snozwanger · 04/12/2013 15:35

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining so late. I was 38 weeks yesterday and am due on 18th, the day before Whisper I think. So jealous of you all as no signs of baby coming for me yet.

My midwife as called to say she was expecting me at an appointment today (which she hadn't written on my notes) so I missed it. Now I can't have it til next Wednesday. Plus she forgot to check baby's position and measurements on Friday which bothered me a bit. Promptly burst into tears after getting off the phone! Sad

Also been waiting for courier to deliver Xmas presents since Saturday and still no sign. I started off getting showered and dressed in case they came. Today I'm past caring and look like a slob.

You all seem to be doing really well and coping with everything pregnancy has thrown at you. I've been fortunate enough to not have had any probs apart from low platelets.

Sorry for my introductory rant! Perhaps this emotional phase means baby is coming?Wink

astonvanilla · 04/12/2013 15:41

Good luck to all those with things happening- very exciting!
I have now changed my mind about wanting baby to come early and hope he stays in there as DS has an ear infection and is on antibiotics. He is very clingy and only wants me so not sure how that would work if I was in labour!
Am trying to resist the changing bags on offer at Mothercare today, really don't need another one but some of them are so pretty.... must resist!

Dusty04 · 04/12/2013 15:49

hot cross mothercare had the tommee tippee nappy disposal half price and my DH really wanted it. His argument was in the middle if the night it would be easier than going outside. I wasn't too fussed but he bought it..

GodRestYeMerryWhisperMen · 04/12/2013 16:02

I've been on my ball all day alyssa pains are getting worse and getting tightening belly now too. eek. I don't want to be in labour, I made a cheesecake today and that needs eating!

itsliz · 04/12/2013 16:06

Haha, I'm so glad it's not just me that has all the grace of a toddler at mealtimes! Grin Pregnancy really is glamorous isn't it?!

Oh and meandbumpy the cat thing has got me worried now! Ours has been acting weird for the last couple of days, but I'm hoping it's because she came home with a limp and not because she thinks I'm going to go into labour any day now... Hmm

Welcome to the December thread by the way, Snoz! It's never too late to join in here - we're a friendly bunch so the more the merrier (actually I'm not sure about merry... we've all become a bit grumpy and ranty lately!) Grin

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 04/12/2013 16:12

One of our cats has taken to sleeping outside our bedroom door...so I trip over him every time I leave the room Hmm

Maybe he knows something I don't...

Snozwanger · 04/12/2013 16:19

Whisper - send some of those tightenings to me. I want this baby out by Christmas! Best of luck x

MrsShrubs · 04/12/2013 16:45

Welcome snoz Flowers

dusty we bought the tomee tipee one too while it was on offer

Keep meaning to thank whoever it was who suggested the cat net for the Moses basket from mothercare, works a treat!

hotcrossbun83 · 04/12/2013 17:18

Thanks mum and dusty, looks like I should take a trip to mothercare

Mogz · 04/12/2013 17:36

Our girl cat has simply been using the cat net as a comfy hammock, I despair! She also bought me a couple of voles today, yum Hmm

MrsShrubs · 04/12/2013 17:44

Haha mogz what a tinker!!!

Chelsealady · 04/12/2013 18:00

Came home this afternoon and both dogs are really confused as to what Indy is. Behaved calm but confused.

No more babies?

BohemianRaspberry · 04/12/2013 18:03

Hey snoz Smile

I honestly don't think I can legitimately buy more for the LO as the house resembles a local branch of mothercare already!

mogz I must be such a bitch - been giggling at the idea of you using the net as a literal caterpult. I'm such a kid.

Stom91 · 04/12/2013 18:07

Welcome snoz we have a Facebook group if you want to join.

I'm still contemplating the nappy bin. Not sure if it's an unnecessary expense :/ but it would save going out in the cold & coming down in the morning to the bin smelling of nappies? Either that or I just double bag the nappies? Hmm...

3 sleep until I move and be warm & cozy!!

I'm really sore (down there ) today. Not sure if I've had abit of discharge and it's made me sore or if my knickers were too tight I was wearing yesterday lol thing is I can see how bad it is lol
Got abit of smelly discharge again. Anything to worry about? I only saw the mw yesterday & I was fine. Typical!! (Soz tmi)

itsliz · 04/12/2013 18:24

Haha, sorry Mogz but that made me giggle too! What a little rebel!

So glad to hear you and Indy are home same and sound now Chelsea Smile Hope you manage to get a bit more rest tonight now that you're away from that annoying couple in the hospital!

I'm not sure what to do about a nappy bin either... Wasn't planning to get one as it's an extra expense, but after reading your post mum, I'm starting to change my mind! Are they really that good?!
We're in a studio flat so if there's a smell coming from the kitchen bin or the recycling it tends to fill the whole house (and the last thing I want is a dirty nappy scented flat!) Hmm

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 18:32

Mogz I never had a show or plug last time so don't despair! Some people just lose it gradually when they wee.

Whisper that sounds very promising!

Hi Snoz Smile

extracrunchy · 04/12/2013 18:33

Ooh ALSO I had maybe 5 contractions earlier over the space of an hour or so that had me bent double but they've stopped now. Humph.
