kchapper5 That sounds like a good deal... I'll try my best to make sure it happens Grin
I'm exactly the same though, fully expecting to end up going overdue but still fed up and happy to get this little one out sooner rather than later!

Chelsea Glad you were able to get to the hospital nice and quickly. Seems us lot with similar EDDs have a lot in common as I'm in Surrey too!

Chelsealady · 01/12/2013 22:45

Liz how strange small world! Still no contractions there leaving me as im only 3cm still got to stay in and they will see if things pick up in the night if not they will kick start my labour tomorrow yay I get to meet her finally. It feels weird this time theres no stopping anything its actually happening. I think its the 12 hours of moving bedroom that done it!

mumoftwoboysS · 01/12/2013 23:03

Well I had about 20 mins between waters breaking and contractions starting last time and hospital is 20 mins away- but I'm intending to go as soon as my waters break! So annoying - was going to do the test just now and looked and there are no instructions! I know one swab goes in your fanjo and one in your wen back passage but worried I'll get it wrong. Better call them tomorrow...I was supposed to do if by 37 weeks- oops

mumoftwoboysS · 01/12/2013 23:04

Wen? Bloody iPhone. Meant 'erm'

PistachioTruffle · 01/12/2013 23:14

Ohh, good luck Chelsea, the end is in sight after all this time! Hopefully youre having cuddles before too long Flowers

Who's due next? There's lots of queue jumping going on here Wink

Mogz · 01/12/2013 23:48

I'm due tomorrow, by rights it should be me next [stroppy], I'm heavy and achey and down right fed up! Pretty sure I'll be waiting a few more days at least, although I have had a few more crampy feelings this evening, maybe they'll stick round and get productive this time.

5ammy · 02/12/2013 00:05

I'm due next Sunday. But despite being on med's that can cause premature labour, it being my third, and already having started dilating - I'm fully expecting to join the overdue / needs inducing club. Blah!

Getting bored now! Only 2 more working days before mat' leave is being forced upon me.

Goodluck chelsea

Congrats to all you new mummys!

Chelsealady · 02/12/2013 03:56

Just popping in to say my contractions started at 11.20 and baby girl was born exactly 2 hours and ten minutes later :) shes in intensive care as she was having trouble breathing but shes okay now they just want to keep an eye on her.

Feeling very saw and tired also exhausted so going to try and rest.

I also am open for any suggestions on names as I am stuck! Wasn't expecting to see her yet!

PistachioTruffle · 02/12/2013 04:03

Congratulations Chelsea! You sound as if you did amazingly, well done! I hope you and baby girl are reunited soon. How much did she weigh? What sort of names do you like, maybe we can make some suggestions. Enjoy your rest Flowers

Chelsealady · 02/12/2013 04:11

She weighed 7.1lb actually quit glad i didn't go full term now or she would have been on the porky side. The MW said I coped better than most woman having there 3rd or 4th baby so quit proud! No drugs it all happened to quickly and no shouting thankfully just kept telling my mum 'I will never do this again' but it was all worth it in the end!

Names...Im thinking not common and quit pretty her middle name is Sydney so something that goes with that:)

froubylou · 02/12/2013 04:38

Oh wow chelsea well done darling! Hope you are back together in the morning but in the meantime get some sleep if you can. Xx

kchapper5 · 02/12/2013 06:38

Wow well done chelsea and congratulations :)

itsliz · 02/12/2013 06:48

Wow, that was quick! Huge congratulations to you Chelsea, so glad to hear it all went well and that you've finally got to meet your gorgeous baby girl. Sounds like you did brilliantly Smile

Dusty04 · 02/12/2013 07:02

Congratulations chelsea lovely news :)

Molly28 · 02/12/2013 07:05

I ended up ordering my strep test from the website and they came back positive. testing isn't too hard to do once you get past the fact you have to put these things up you! Shock

now I have the positive (which for some reason I Knew I would do) its on my notes and the midwives are actually taking me seriously! mad that I asked them to test and they refused!

if anyone needs any info etc I'm happy to let you know what I did from my perspective!

Molly28 · 02/12/2013 07:05

congratulations Chelsea!

extracrunchy · 02/12/2013 07:09

Congratulations, Chelsea - and well done for taking it on like a pro! Hope you guys are home soon. Bet a name will come to you when you've spent a bit of time with her!

BetterWithCheese · 02/12/2013 07:12

Aw lovely news Chelsea and well done! She's a really good size too for being a bit early, hope she's out of intensive care soon (or now). My suggestions for names are Rosa, Eloise and Jaina - all lovely names but ones I can't use for one reason or another Grin.

NomDeClavier · 02/12/2013 07:21

Congratulations chelsea! Wondered whwther we'd be waking up to baby news from you! I'll lend you the names my DH vetoed - Amaryllis and Tabitha Wink Hope she comes out of the NICU soon and in the meanwhile go and see her and stroke her much as want and marvel at what a great job you did!

I have owwwwwchy hip this morning :( Combination of lying awkwardly and having to sit up with DS a bit I think. Why DH can't take a turn I do not know especially as he just wants sodding Daddy and ends up coming into our bed to get him which means I have no sleeping space. And then we got up early this morning so DS could have breakfast with DH in the hope it would make mornings calmer but all that happened was I did potty and then dressing and teeth brushing for both of us while DH dressed while shouting at the toddler to be quiet and then brushed his own teeth and may have trimmed his beard. Then he downed two cups of coffee, went to the loo and left while I did everything else Hmm This is going to have to change soon because we will need to leave for school at 8.15 as if January and if it takes an hour for me to get me and DS up, fed and breakfasted already how are we going to add a newborn to the mix if DH insists on a leisurely, quiet half hour?!

Sorry. I'm not good when I wake up in pain and can't take the good drugs Blush

mumoftwoboysS · 02/12/2013 07:47

Many congratulations chelsea glad it all went quickly in the end! Hope she's out of intensive care soon. Names I ca suggest (since I'm bound to have a boy so won't be using them! Well I'll keep my top 2 just in case ;-)) Maia, Aliya, Anya, Ava, Sienna,

nom I can see why you're peturbed. My DH leaves before I get up so somehow I'll have to get 3 kids ready soon- yikes! But if he was around I'd def ask for help as it makes such a difference. Maybe he can just help with teeth cleaning and faces or getting breakfast ready whilst you shower? I ask DH to do small things like that and it does help.

Stom91 · 02/12/2013 08:00

Congratulations chelsea!!!
Xxx

Alyssa1978 · 02/12/2013 08:14

Huge congrats chelsea wow very quick labour Smile

Well I'm home now with Lleyton enjoying my snuggles although he's stressing me with the feeding already. He only seems to suck for 5 mins at the most them comes off and falls asleep but I suppose he's getting enough as he's not crying and he's had 6 poo nappies Hmm

violetbean · 02/12/2013 08:24
