I'm not finding out the sex of the baby either. DH is dead set against it and I don't mind either way and couldn't keep it a secret so I'm happy to wait until we meet in person in May.

On the pillows, I am a breastfeeding pillow at the moment but it is the wrong shape and ends up on the floor by morning time. I got it for DD2 but preferred nursing her with a normal pillow. I have a little tiny pillow which is handy for between my knees. Supposed to be good to keep one there for PGP/SPD.

Minions · 02/12/2013 19:03

Congrats to those in team blue :) got my 20 week scan a week tomorrow but we're having a surprise

I got the dream genii pillow last week. It looks great but I'm still a bit small for it. Going to try again in a week or two, in the mean time it's a normal pillow between my legs and that's out.

Go called bumpalicious by someone at work today, loved it!

Minions · 02/12/2013 19:04

Ps littlebairn - how's things today? x

impatientlywaiting · 02/12/2013 20:46

Oh I can't wait we start the 20 week posts. Especially if people are finding out the sex. It's been a while since the excitement on here when majority of people were having 12 weeks and it's always nice to log on and have lots of lovely news.

It was me who said we were expecting 3 boy babies on this thread. I remember someone finding out at 12 weeks as they had a harmony test. Going to see if I can use the search and find out who it was.

impatientlywaiting · 02/12/2013 20:57

Found it - it was YikesHereWeGo who found out she was having a boy from the Harmony test at 12 weeks.

randdom · 02/12/2013 21:34

I threw up in the Asda car park Hmm

loopylou52 · 02/12/2013 21:53

irisheyes - I have the Theraline one and it does have a cover you can remove. I haven't tried washing it yet but I presume you can. I haven't actually started using it in bed yet but I like the fact that because it's a beany one you can make it so it's thinner or puffier in specific places.

All this gender news is very exciting. We're not planning to find out so I'll probably be feeling a bit Envy over the next few weeks as lots of people find out!

loopylou52 · 02/12/2013 21:53

Poor you randdom, that's horrible Sad

Vikks · 02/12/2013 23:07

All this gender talk is making me so excited for Saturday! I bet baby has it's legs crossed or something where I can't find out Wink .
DP and DS are convinced it's a boy and nearly everyone else thinks girl. I've thought blue all along but the last week I'm getting pink vibes. We'll soon know x
Hope everyone is well x x

rebeccax2 · 03/12/2013 06:58

Trying to find a maternity coat. This is not fun.

rebeccax2 · 03/12/2013 06:59

By the way I believe almost 100% I'm having a girl. I just feel it so completely I'll be surprised if it's a boy. I will be finding on on January 6th x

Hezbean · 03/12/2013 08:16

Morning all!

Sounds like most people are finding out the gender. We've decided not to - oh is very set that he doesn't want to know and wants a surprise. I'm not that fussed either way but think the speculation will be fun.

I have my 16 week midwife appointment today!
Feel like a bit of an imposter at the moment as I really don't have a bump, my waist is just a bit thicker but not really that noticeable. Hope everything is ok!

Hezbean · 03/12/2013 08:21

Ps little how are you doing?

dobedobedo · 03/12/2013 09:44

hezbean that's what I was like. And then overnight I sprouted one! (at about 16+5)

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2013 10:14

Hello lovely maybies - long time no speak!

Sorry haven't posted in a while - felt really worried and just desperate to get to the 'safe' stage. Didn't think I could deal with the sympathy if all went tits up which i know is ridiculous btw Grin

But things are looking better. Hopefully if it was going to miscarry, the latest is 18wks, which I'm now 18+2 so..... fingers crossed! I have been keeping up with you guys though, Littlebairn my thoughts really are with you and I hope you are ok!

Moomin personally I really think you would benefit from just a decent chat with someone- not necessarily a psych but maybe someone from the Mental Health team that can reassure you that what you are feeling is NORMAL.

You are 19, struggling with your pillock of a DH sometimes, your parents are also having worries and the stress will make you feel worse. I know I probably sound REAL condescending but I work in Mental Health in the NHS so I can promise you that nobody will take your baby away for admitting you feel a bit whelmed!

Please do try and talk to your GP and they can put you in touch with someone, because you may be more succeptible to post-natal depression once the baby is born, which is equally not as much fun. (having had experience Sad )

Sorry for the epic post. I am too really excited for the gender scans! or anomaly scans as they are otherwise known Wink

Mine is on the 23rd

LongTailedTit · 03/12/2013 10:59

Hello NannyP! Glad you're feeling more settled.

Moomin this is definitely the time to see your GP - I had PND last time, and have started recognising a few symptoms/behaviours again recently so have been back to my GP to discuss it, it's not something to brush under the carpet.
Also, not to put too fine a point on it, this is the time to find out if you rate your GP - if they are crap at dealing with you while pg, now's the time to switch over to a different doc, it's really important to be able to trust their judgement, esp with a PFB.

Thanks Brew & Cake all round, tuck in Maybies! x

Flixy102 · 03/12/2013 11:13

Has anyone been to the dentist while pregnant? I've an appointment on Monday to get a filling replaced, was just wondering if I need to tell the dentist in advance that I'm pregnant or whether it makes any difference anyway?!

impatientlywaiting · 03/12/2013 11:15

Nanny lovely to hear from you and so pleased that you are edging past the more risky time for you. Know how hard it is for all of us waiting for 12 weeks, so the time must have really dragged for you waiting for 18 weeks.

Xavielli · 03/12/2013 11:25

flix dentists can do the majority of their work whilst you're pregnant. Always worth telling them, especially as if it's nhs it's free whilst pregnant

MrsFooCough · 03/12/2013 11:27

Flix I went yesterday just for a checkup but it's important you tell them you're preggo, take your exemption card thingy as they'll need to have the proof and due date for their records. Also IT'S FREEEEEEEE which is good Grin

Off for 16wk appt on 10th, I think - it was arranged before my dating scan, so I hope it's all good. Getting quite zen about blood tests which used to sh#t me up, weird how when it's for Bean anything is fine by me Smile

Flixy102 · 03/12/2013 11:38

I'll maybe give them a wee ring then just to let them know. I was supposed to go in October but hadn't received my exemption card so postponed it!!!

LittleBairn · 03/12/2013 12:03

Hello just an update pretty dreadful news I was admitted to hospital yesterday I'm 6-7 cm dilated bulging sac.
Baby has heartbeat we are trying to shut down its kidneys to reduce fluid and save it but its very bleak situation.
Feels very surreal too tomorrow is Noah's aniversary the staff are as shocked as us.

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2013 12:13

Oh gosh littlebairn my heart is with you Sad

Please let him be strong enough

Flixy102 · 03/12/2013 12:18

Oh little, nothing we can say that's going to be good enough but we're all thinking about you xxxxxx

impatientlywaiting · 03/12/2013 12:28

Oh my god little, what an awful thing to go through.

Wishing you every positive vibe and although I'm generally not a religious person I will say a prayer for you and the baby. Praying that things take a positive turn and you get some good news.

Thinking about you. Xx
