Hehehe if u see someone wearing it and they are due in May u know they are a mumsnetter you can do the secret hand shake hehehe

moominleigh94 · 07/12/2013 22:52

Ahh that dress is gorgeous!

I've got a proper bump but I'm in non-maternity dresses; for the uni show (I have to take a bow at the end) I've got a knitted green skater-style dress. Only comes down to the middle of my thighs but teamed with some thick leggings/jeggins and Ugg boots it's comfy and doesn't look too bad either Grin

mrsmummytobe · 07/12/2013 22:52

Hehe love the thought of a secret handshake!!! Thanks for the advice, JL & next both look like they have some good stuff. Jojo maman bebe also do coats, I got a nice one from there.

Vikks · 07/12/2013 23:09

Loving the shopping tips. x

Blue So funny, laughed my head off!

MrsMummy Enjoy your scan tomorrow. x

Thank you for the congratulations ladies. I’m very happy to be expecting a girl; DS (3yrs) needs some convincing though! DP was very shocked he was adamant it was a boy, his face was so funny but is over the moon to be expecting a daughter.
I have to admit we did go out and buy something pink straight away . Blush
We have also chosen her name!

Added 2 new pics. Xmas Grin

mrsmummytobe · 07/12/2013 23:23

vikks congratulations on the girl! exciting news. Loving the pics too.
I've got to wait until early Jan I'm guessing as still haven't had scan date through yet....

16 weeks today... or actually because of the time 16+1 xx

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 08/12/2013 00:54

Oooooh then im 19 weeks today! Almost half way there!! Congrats vikks- I am very level headed regarding gender and think children should be allowed to wear whatever colours they like and play with whatever they want........... I have a 3 year old that wants to be a princess- will only wear pink- wants perfume for Xmas and high heeled ballerina shoes and wants like to be full of dolls and pretty sparkly things.

C'est la vie [tchwink]

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 08/12/2013 00:55

Xmas Wink ahem

LongTailedTit · 08/12/2013 01:30

Nice hat Xmas Grin

I'm also 19wks today, or rather, 19+1 seeing as its 01:30! Really must Go To Bed, I was just so relieved my headache had finally eased off that I've been surfing MN for ages...

Anomaly/gender scan a week on Monday!
Most people reckon it's a girl, I have no idea, tho my mother told me yesterday that the gender scan "will just confirm its another boy, that's how I'm thinking, that way I won't be disappointed when it's not a girl" -
her reaasoning is that out of my sis, my cousins and I, we have 8 boys, 1 girl, and as this little one of mine is v likely the last baby of this generation, DM just really wants it to be a girl. Confused

rebeccax2 · 08/12/2013 09:02

Oh my god, just catching up on the the news from everyone. Little I am so pleased at your news, and am desperately hoping for you. You're strength is a true inspiration!

And I love the John Lewis dress. I'm thinking about getting a maternity coat since we have a long cold winter ahead and I can't do up my coat at the moment.

I was definitely going to find out if it's a girl or a boy, and now I'm not so sure. I had it all figured and was totally convinced and then someone said 'oh but there are so few wonderful surprised in the world' and now I'm unsure.

moominleigh94 · 08/12/2013 09:07

I'm 19+6... which means tomorrow I'm halfway through Shock

Actually feeling Christmassy today! It's been on and off - I've not been a Scrooge, but usually I'm so Christmassy and this year I've just not had the energy Sad

Xavielli · 08/12/2013 09:21

I don't think it diminishes anything to find out in advance rebeccax2 I've done both an was always much less stressed when I knew the sex. If this is your first you've got plenty of wonderful surprises coming your way Grin

moominleigh94 · 08/12/2013 09:36

Hate those people who berate others for finding out the sex rebecca Sad

I'm finding out on Thursday, hopefully! :)

Oh dear Xavielli.... do we want to know? Hmm Shock

Xavielli · 08/12/2013 09:39

Ha! I wasn't thinking of anything bad, but there will be a fair amount of those surprises too

Spirael · 08/12/2013 12:48

Each baby comes with their own unique surprises. Wink Discovering them is half the fun!

Less than a fortnight now until my gender scan. I'm looking forwards to finding out! It's still a surprise, it just means I get the surprise now rather than later and can enjoy it for longer before the world knows.

I don't mind which it is, but I'm currently thinking boy given how different everything has been this time around. DH and DD think it's a girl. We'll see who is right... Probably them.

Starting to feel Christmassy here too! We attended DD's Christmas Concert at nursery yesterday and I barely managed to suppress the damn hormones that were trying to make me sob at the cuteness. Glad I succeeded!

mrsmummytobe · 08/12/2013 13:42

Aaahhhh we're having a little girl!!!! I'm so excited! At our 12 week scan the midwife said she thought it was a boy so ever since then I've just assumed boy!! Such an amazing surprise!!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 08/12/2013 14:31

Congratulations mrsmummy I am so soooo desperate for a boy. I love having two girls but not sure I could deal with a third one! They're so independent!

spirael I think we have our gender scans the same day (21st) mine's at 1.30, what time is yours?

loopylou52 · 08/12/2013 16:14

Congrats mrsmummy and vikks! Smile

moominleigh94 · 08/12/2013 16:25

Congrats mrsmummy

I want to know if I'm Team Pink or Team Blue Grin Grin Grin just got to wait until Thursday... it seems so far away!

LittleBairn · 08/12/2013 16:39

Just wanted to let you all know our little girl Imogen was delivered yesterday at 6:45pm she was perfect looking just small. She was a tough little fighter making it all the way till 19+1.
We kept her with us over night and let her be moved this afternoon.
I'm still in hospital due to being ill with an infection, it was at a life threating stage yesterday but I'm reacting well to all the drugs.
I will be kept in another day or two.

I can't praise my midwives and Drs high enough.

We will probably try again with a cervical stitch and if that doesn't work use surrogacy.
