LittleBairn thinking of you xxxx really hope everything's ok.

bluestone that sounds like what I've got - me and OH both have the feeling like we're coming down with a bug, but only the feeling - if that makes sense?

Xavielli · 03/12/2013 20:39

Can't stop thinking about you Little Thanks have they said what will happen after the steroids?

bluestone85 · 03/12/2013 20:54

moomin it does make sense totally :-) this one I've got, started feeling sick yesterday afternoon. last night it got worse and could barely sleep, then this morning I was dizzy, hot and cold and so thirsty. Couldn't really eat anything. Sat at docs and I had to sit in just vest top as was that hot! weird! Hope yours doesn't turn into anything xx

moominleigh94 · 03/12/2013 20:58

I've had the dizzy, hot and cold feeling! And wanting to just drink - no food. Got the sicky feeling at the moment even though I know I won't be sick, I feel like I will.

bluestone85 · 03/12/2013 21:27

uh oh! plain food, lots of water and plenty of rest! xx

AppleCrumble1 · 03/12/2013 21:47

Ahh Little, I'm thinking of you still & sending positive vibes

LittleBairn · 03/12/2013 23:01

xav if the sac stops bulging they think they might be able to stitch my cervix. They cant do the stitch now because it could rupture the sac.
But it's very experimental and if it does work chances are I'm going to have a very early preemie.

I had a good talk with an experienced midwife she suggested that Noah was just a random loss but its likely that his placenta getting stuck has caused cervical weakness. Which makes a lot of sense everyone is puzzled why I have cervical weakness now when it wasn't the cause of Noah's death and I have no previous issues with my cervix.

It helped settle my mind about getting pregnant in the future, its already been recommended that next time I get a stitch regardless of results.

LittleBairn · 03/12/2013 23:08

apple welcome to the thread.

Some good news I'm having a scan tomorrow and I might be able to find out the sex!

Part of my meds is also antibiotics to avoid infection rupturing the sac.
Tmi alert all the meds mean I probably have enough gastro issues for the whole thread. Blush

hamncheese · 04/12/2013 07:38

That's really positive little really hoping it works out. If there is anything you need in hospital let me know I will PM you

MrsFooCough · 04/12/2013 07:39

Glad they seem to be on top of things, little
I got the news yesterday night that my grandpa died earlier in the evening. He's been very ill and that's why DH and I moved down to be nearer him and grandma, we live in a big place with my folks. Gramps and I were very close and he's the first bereavement I've had so I'm not really sure how to cope. DH staying off work tomorrow to be with me as my folks will be off with my grandma taking care of things. I hope this doesn't cause problems with Bean, I'm very prone to physical reactions to stress.
Bit numb at the moment, might be off here for a few days or so, I don't really know.
Sorry to bring everyone down

MrsFooCough · 04/12/2013 07:40

Meant DH staying off work today not tomorrow.

impatientlywaiting · 04/12/2013 07:54

Little I'm really pleased that they seem to have things under control. Still have everything crossed that things go well.

impatientlywaiting · 04/12/2013 07:56

So sorry for your loss MrsFoo, glad that your DH will be around for support today.

LittleBairn · 04/12/2013 08:01

mrsfoo I'm so sorry about your grandfather. My condolances to your family, be gentle with yourselves.

loopylou52 · 04/12/2013 08:47

So sorry for your loss MrsFoo Thanks

Sounds like you're in good hands little, fingers crossed for some positive news from today.

Was it isean who had her 20 week scan yesterday?

impatientlywaiting · 04/12/2013 09:12

LoopyLou I just checked stats sheet and yes Isean had it scheduled for yesterday.

I must gave missed some gender announcements? The stats page says Choppa is having a boy, and the thread has its first girl from RosesintheRain! Congrats all.

Isean · 04/12/2013 10:03

Terribly sorry for your loss MrsFoo. Look after yourself, rest and let your emotions out.

Glad to hear things are sounding more positive Little I hope today goes well for you.

I had my 20 week scan yesterday (at exactly 19 weeks) and I am so relieved and delighted to report that baby is doing well and everything is as it should be! I feel so fortunate! We didn't want to find out the gender, we are looking forward to the surprise! He/she was a little bit stubborn but they managed to see and measure everything eventually. We got 3 new scan photos which show baby with it's hand above it's face and then sucking it's thumb! We watched as it moved it's hand up and put it's thumb in it's mouth, it was also playing with it's feet during the scan! So amazing!

I am currently off work with a fever, sore throat, swollen glands, sore head and bones and exhausted. Hoping it will pass quickly, but finding it hard not having the usual medications to go to.

bluestone85 · 04/12/2013 10:24

So sorry to hear your sad news Mrsfoo Thanks

Just had 16 week midwife appointment and all she did was check urine, take blood pressure and took blood for downs syndrome test as they couldn't get measurements at scan. No feeling of my tummy, no doppler, nothing. is this normal? Xx

Isean · 04/12/2013 10:42

All the midwife did with me at my 16 week appointment was blood pressure and check urine blue. And tell me that my blood tests from earlier were all ok.
I left feeling like I was a bit rushed and was a wee bit disappointed.
I think it might depend on where you are.

Hezbean · 04/12/2013 10:47

Hi everyone

Little - hope things go ok today. Xxxx

Mrsfoo so sorry to hear about your grandfather xxxx

Bluestone - I had my 16 week check yesterday too (I was a week early for it - baby brain?! - but they fitted me in). They did blood pressure, urine test, talked me through results of bloods and nuchal which were all fine. She did feel my stomach (high up, not sure why!) and dug around for ages with the Doppler and eventually heard the heartbeat .

loopylou52 · 04/12/2013 11:21

Congrats on the scan isean!

bluestone - at my 16 week appointment she didn't feel my belly but did use the doppler. I had heard they don't always at this stage so was prepared that they might not. It seems to depend very much on area/midwife.

bushprincess · 04/12/2013 12:10

Been thinking of you overnight and this morning Little I hope things are progressing well and they've managed to get the stitch in ok. Really hope things are going to turn out well for you

So sorry for your loss Mrsfoo, I hope you're able to comfort each other as a family. You'll keep your grandfather alive in the tales you tell your lovely little one of him. Thinking of you
