dressedupnowheretogo · 13/07/2006 14:07

breasts are the same as burgers arent they salamander

YellowFeathers · 13/07/2006 14:08

I had the same thing happen to me booby!

Got a splinter down the side of my nail bed, had arm in a sling for a week, took anti b's and then ended up with a 10ft needle being stuck down it to draw the acky stuff out.

Do you feel a bit more reassured now jebee (can I call you that, its so much easier)

Just out of interest what did you do before baby?

YellowFeathers · 13/07/2006 14:09

Just had a burger it was very mammary like

Sorry but am pmsl

dreamydowler · 13/07/2006 14:09

go sal go sal go sal

eenywifemum · 13/07/2006 14:10

I dont know if Sal should say his opinion again, I am that scared of something kicking off all over again!

Anyway his opinion was no different to a lot of other people's on that board and elsewhere, it was because he was a man they didnt like him stating it.

dreamydowler · 13/07/2006 14:11

my other half says my jugs must be huge burgers cheeky

frodofitz · 13/07/2006 14:13

Right i haven't got a sodding clue what happened i was only hanging out the washing!

Eeny, to be honest i think i just made the 12th up! I have no idea where it came from i think i must have liked the sound of it better than the 13th??? It was only when i read my mat notes last week that i saw i was a day out! Best thing is i kept bollocking dh for telling everyone it was the 13th and blaming him for being a typical man when he was right all along....now we have to keep correcting people!

Was it you YF with the dishwasher and sponge??? I have even come close to eating the mop sponge after it has been used!!!
To be honest i know this sounds really gross but i will end up eating one, i know i will! Might buy myself a special one a take into labour suite that way dh can't say anything! He chucked my shower one away saying i couldn't be trusted!

I have a plan...mmmmwwwwaaaaahhhhh

eenywifemum · 13/07/2006 14:13

the whole breasts as burgers thing is hilarious isnt it... well... will give us all food for thought when we are eating, making out OR breastfeeding!

PinkTulips · 13/07/2006 14:14

from what i read he was really quite unopionated actually and quite funny and sarcastic, and he never did get an answer when he asked a straightforward question on what they thought was too old to bf. they didn't have a problem til they realised he was a boy!

dressedupnowheretogo · 13/07/2006 14:14

eeny no worries here babes we love you all no matter the opinions

btw i used to be a hairdresser and i can timagine evr doing it again id rather stack shelves or hoepfully i'll be able to get a job in primark

i am thinking about studying to become a midwife i think id really enjoy it and im quite a people persoon who knows might just be sahm and enjoy my baby there is no pressure to go back to work thank god

sorry i know you didnt ask but have been thinking about this for a while

dreamydowler · 13/07/2006 14:14

everyone has a right to an opinion thats what we arew all here for and for some it is really important to have the freedom to give that opinion without the fear of being laughed at or criticised some people just have very black and white lives

janeggybee · 13/07/2006 14:14

you are all scaring me with the finger thing - i will chop it off first thing in the morning (ahem)
just so that i make myself clear - people who have been blessed with reproductive bodies have the right to do what they feel necessary to raise their offspring. nobody has the right to criticise your choice, you cant hurt a child with love. if the body was supposed to stop breastfeeding at 6 months - milk production would stop naturally.

before baby i was a technical sales representative for a water treatment company and did various industrial chemist type activities in the field of boilers / cooling towers / legionella control etc. not very glam, i know.

Next time I'm down in Colchester, I'll pop in and treat you both to Mcdonalds.

dressedupnowheretogo · 13/07/2006 14:15

dreamy that would make mine biiger big macs lol rofl psml

YellowFeathers · 13/07/2006 14:16

Well in that case
I don't suppose you know why our kitchen tap bangs like hell when you don't turn it on full pelt?

PinkTulips · 13/07/2006 14:17

it's annoying that we can't express opinions on threads like that without someone feeling the need to make nasty personal insults when your opinion is differant to theirs, the art of true debate seems to have been lost

dressedupnowheretogo · 13/07/2006 14:17

my outside tap does that as well my dh says "pressure"

dreamydowler · 13/07/2006 14:18

oh well got to go to mw appointment now need to get there a bit early so I can get a pee bottle see you all soon byyeee

eenywifemum · 13/07/2006 14:18

Pink I know him (obviously) and as do you lot, so I know he means well and was joking etc. about some of it. The thing is... I DO consider myself a feminist and I dont usually think men are too hard done by in this world. But in this case, he couldnt win for losing. If he werent interested, then he'd be a typical bloke who didnt care, and when he was interested he doesnt have the right to. Doesnt make sense. We are all just people, right?

Booby I have been thinking about being a MW too!!! How funny! There was an advert in one of my bounty packs saying more MW's are needed to start training!

Frodo eat the mop!! and take pics! Blame the dates thing on baby brain.

janeggybee · 13/07/2006 14:21

is there someone here who is eating carpets?

OP posts:
Salamander · 13/07/2006 14:21

For the record I realy love the idea of breastfeeding
who knows how long we'll go on..

DAMN!

should have said "how long Eeny will go on" ;)

eenywifemum · 13/07/2006 14:21

Yellow that sounds good! And we can discuss the merits of breastfeeding, 4x4's, sausage rolls... oh dear! nevermind!

I think we all agree that people know what is best generally for thier own families and that the most important thing a child can have is love.

dressedupnowheretogo · 13/07/2006 14:22
