Thought I'd go for it

gummi sorry I only really buy baby clothes in gap so no idea on sizing but I'd probably get next size up incase your boobs are sore

sultana I think it must be reflux related but its not a regular thing and think its just if I eat too late so the foods not got far to come back up so can't complain too much. No where near as bad as some of you

GummiBear74 · 30/11/2013 10:16

Aww, frying, your DS sounds adorable! I hope you work out the best solution for him.

sultana, maybe point DH towards here for stickers? They were really helpful, sent us samples so we could see the colours and make sure that they'd work with the paint we used. They also seem to have massively expanded their range since we bought ours, so there's loads of choice.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 30/11/2013 10:27

Mac grrrrr for your OH - how rude. I'd be fuming too. He needs to apologise now preferably with flowers and chocs

MrsV ouch! That sounds horrid, you poor thing.

sultana that's a hard decision - I know you will understand it from a work point of view, but it's tough to let a beloved pet go. Hugs to you.

frying have a wonderful last day, doing absolutely nothing! My last is next Sat, and I plan to do the same.

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 10:34

Arg i'm getting so frustrated!

Work have let me answer emails today, which is lovely and i'm just taking my time, but they have just offered out half days! I was refused a half day today last week because they didn't have the availability, so I had to use the last of my holidays yesterday. Now they've just offered it. So i'm here until 7 when if they had just said yes i'd be leaving at 3.

Sigh

MrsVDB · 30/11/2013 10:45

How frustrating frying but just remember you won't have to worry about it for ages after 7

gummi those stickers are lovely, I've just requested a sample for one of the quotes

enormouse · 30/11/2013 11:21

sultana so sad about your cat but 16 years is a great run. DPs parents cat was 23 when it died. I would take advantage of the productivity in your DH whilst it lasts.

Mac definitely get him to make it up to you. My DP is still grovelling and its absolutely wonderful.

gummi that's quite sweet.

I am finding ds very trying today. Lots of leaping about and clambering over me. I feel like yelling 'just leave mummy be!' I think I need to get myself checked out by the midwife or gp on Monday as I think I have the beginnings of spd. Rolling over in bed for the last few nights has been excruciating and the last few days I've spent feeling like I've been kicked in the privates by a donkey.

Black Friday has an offer scheduled on a large cuddly wolf that I want. I don't know why I want it, but I just do.

Brew and Cake all round today I think.

MrsVDB · 30/11/2013 11:41

enormouse I feel your pain on the back pain. I literally got stranded mid turn in bed the other night as back muscles just wouldn't work and was in agony. Just cried and got dh to help. I mention the back pain every time I see someone including the consultant but all I get is shrugged shoulders and told that's normal in pregnancy

MrsGSR · 30/11/2013 16:52

Lots of sympathy for those with back pain, mines not to bad unless I'm on my feet for too long, feeling very lucky!

DH found a game he really wanted for a tenner today, so I spent the same on a load of Christmas craft stuff to keep me entertained this evening!

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 17:05

Back pain sucks, I've taken to lying (laying?) on the floor at the end of the day trying to make myself relax to help my back. Apparently it's one of those things.

Less than 2 hours to go at work! eek!! People have been lovely :-)

Mrs what are you thinking of Christmas crafts?

OP posts:
MrsGSR · 30/11/2013 17:45

I'm making 24 tiny felt stockings to string together as an Advent calender :)

Felix90 · 30/11/2013 17:56

Hooray for productive OH's! Came back from my NCT class and was ordered to get in to bed for a nap as I was shattered. Woke up and he's finally getting on with packing the house up Smile

Really suffering with heartburn today and the only thing that seems to help is drinking milk. Definitely think I'm coming down with something. Feeling snotty and fuzzy headed/headachey and just generally rubbish!

The class today was a breastfeeding session and it was a bit crap. She didn't really give any more information than what I got from the Health Visitor (and she managed to drag it out for 3 hours).

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 18:14

Mrs that sounds lovely! We've not got any advent calanders this year. Kinda feel like I should get one for DS.

Felix that's how my lasting two weeks cold has come from. I'm just starting to be able to breathe from my nose. My nurse friend said not to worry about taking multi-vits because it doesn't matter at this point

OP posts:
Felix90 · 30/11/2013 18:28

Frying I was thinking about multi vits actually as I have been feeling run down for a while. I still have some 'pregnancy support' vitamin tablets that I had at the start of pregnancy - not sure if these would help?

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 18:32

I've been taking those anyway because i keep running low on iron. Maybe take them anyway because they are there?

OP posts:
sarahleanne · 30/11/2013 19:28

I am also in the 'feeling rubbish' club with a sore throat and a cold. Very annoying.

A few of you talking about back pain etc, a few weeks ago I could barely walk and the midwife referred me to the physio.
It did start to ease off gradually over the last week and it comes and goes depending on how much I've done the day before.
I went to see the physio yesterday and she gave me a pregnancy support belt and it is bloody amazing!! My pelvis actually feels normal again and my back feels supported. It's not too late to get a referral so keep pushing!

flyawayblue · 30/11/2013 20:39

I've been feeling horrible as well recently. Not been able to sleep well due to very sore back and pain when trying to role over. Getting irritated with dh as he complains that I make him uncomfortable by lying one way round but he doesn't get that it's constant pain for me.

Also caught a terrible cold off dh this week, it's now down in my chest and making it hard for me to breath. Discovered coffing hard hurts loads in my bump and causes a funny shape and then jumps from baby.

Sorry to hear about tour cat, 16 is a good age and where we sadly lost mine a few years back.

Sultanajo · 30/11/2013 23:15

Thanks for the link gummi. Will check it out!

Really sorry to hear so many are feeling rough - makes things ten times harder! Plus all the back pain! DH witnessed me walking fairly normally for the first half an hour of our shopping trip today and then the rapid deterioration into a slowly waddling swearing penguin for the next 2.5 hours. Think he finally appreciated the pain I was in - it made it that little bit better seeing him concerned and empathise!

My mate had her breast feeding class this week too and said it sucked. Such a shame as I found ours quite useful....

So my mate lent us an isofix car seat base which we fitted in the car today after I made DH watch the youtube instruction video and stopped him several times from forcing bits and pieces to do what he wanted them to do but when it came to putting the car seat on the base, although it clicked into place, it seemed quite unstable and wobbly. I expected it to feel really secure and not wobble at all. We are gonna take it to someone to look at but anyone any thoughts, experiences? The base is a maxicosi easyfix isofox base and the car seat is a maxicosi cabriofix, so should all fit...?

MrsVDB · 01/12/2013 08:50

sultano I would take it to the shop you bought the seat from to check. Ours insist on checking the car is compatible before giving you the seat

Mothercare have 20% off today which includes sale stuff (and nappies) and also 5% cash back from quidco. Finally bought my breast pump and steriliser. But still have no idea on baby monitor

Sultanajo · 01/12/2013 09:15

Thanks mrsv. Will be taking it to Kiddicare next weekend to get it checked. I have read that someone else had the same issue but when the baby was in the seat it stabilised, but I still want to get it checked....

Well done for getting your breast pump. I am gonna wait on that until after bubs arrives I think...

chocoloulou33 · 01/12/2013 09:42

Hello ladies. Sorry I've been awol for a week! Had a rly horrible week. I got out of hospital last weekend but by mon evening I was back in in agony. By weds I was back out and fingers crossed ive not been too bad since then. I still had one kidney stone that they could see on the scan but they think its too big for me too pass but when it moves its giving me the pain. They hoping it will stay where it is now until after ive had baby but only time will tell. All I know is im very uncomfortable but that could be coz the baby is breech. Not sure rly.
Anyway it was my birthday friday so had a quiet one but did go out for dinner to prezzo with oh last night. Was nice to get out.
I've missed so much on here. Am gonna have a good read now to see how you all are.

extracrunchy · 01/12/2013 09:50

Oh Choco that's annoying you're still suffering Sad happy belated birthday and hope dinner was good! Fingers crossed you feel better very soon.

chocoloulou33 · 01/12/2013 10:41

Thanks. Just caught up on everything and glad ive not missed any early babies being born!! Also thay im not the only one whos breech haha. I am still so unprepared. No bag packed. No baby clothes put away. Moses basket etc etc. Must must must do things this week without fail...

Toothfairy78 · 01/12/2013 12:16

choco sorry to hear about the combination of crap you're experiencing right now! Sending healing goodness, calm waves and a belated Happy Birthday to you!

I too am disorganised and still working through baby laundry and hospital bag. Got PILs coming over this afternoon. They hanging out at ours so we can get a freezer delivered. We survived over 2 yrs without a freezer! But now that we have ToothJr on the way, the no freezer situation has to end!

This last stage is hard work! I have a sore patch just above the fanjo, tight hamstrings, tight back, waddling everywhere, can't slouch, too tired to sit or stand straight, snuffles... Aaaaaaarrrrrggghhhh!

I'm also wearing travel socks to help with puffiness. Dead sexy!

enormouse · 01/12/2013 12:35

Belated birthday wishes choco. Hope your taking it very easy.

I could do with a new breast pump. Which make is it MrsV?

I would love a new chest freezer tooth. If I were you I would spend today buying frozen ready meals and batch cooking stuff to go in it, but I am very sad and old before my time.

Woke up to loud banging and 'SHHH, DONT wake mummy!' Dp apparently putting up my wreath (and waking the whole village) and hanging my advent garland on the dresser. [tchsmile] it's like MrsGSR's - little felt stars and stockings on a string.

Bluecarrot · 01/12/2013 12:49

I'm going to come back and reply to each person after I get laptop back off dd ( last transfer exam yesterday so getting free reign today... Til bath time!)

But in the meantime sultana I have the easy fix and cabrio -both brand new ( still in box) and this was one of the highest rated by which for safety etc.

Does the seat move in the base? Or the whole thing move when installed? I think there's expected to be an inch or two movement ( don't quote me-been a long time since I fitted an infant seat!)
