Also just snorted aloud on the bus at love yoghurt Grin

MrsGSR · 29/11/2013 18:07

Ha! I think I prefer love yogurt to baby gravy! Will have to remember that next time we're ttc :)

alteredimages · 29/11/2013 18:45

Thanks mrsg for the info and the love yoghurt.Grin

Will go easy on the antiseptic now that I'be got the yoghurt. I think killing off the good bacteria was the trouble to begin with, as I had two different kinds of antiobiotics in the two weeks before the trouble started. Will buy some cream tomorrow at the chemists, I just saw that they're going to use the same antiseptic down there before the birth so figured it would be all right as a stopgap. I feel so disgusting between this and the eczema which has taken over my legs. Just one big reservoir for infection.Sad

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 29/11/2013 19:01

Arf... Love yoghurt Grin

Well, I don't know about you lot, but I'm well and truly over it. I'm done now. I'm a fat mess of a human and I don't want to do this for potentially another 7or 8 weeks. So, if anyone can just fix that for me, that would be dandy.

Anyone else getting a lot of tightening in the evenings? I'm feeling nauseous the past couple of nights (could be heartburn related?) and feel like I'm having constant BH, but only really in the evening. Although maybe I just notice it more as I'm sat down, which rarely happens all day.

Sat with a box of celebrations, being forced to sit through 2 Fast, 2 Furious. Hmm

TobyLerone · 29/11/2013 19:13

Yy to periody pains but I'm ignoring them too.

MrsGSR · 29/11/2013 20:57

Yup, I definitely want to fast forward the next 7 weeks, I'm too impatient! I've had nausea again recently too, night before last I woke up twice choking on bile :(

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 29/11/2013 21:15

snort at love yoghurt.

YYY to periody cramps and heartburn and nausea, also still getting the pulled muscle feeling across the middle of bump so badly. I'm getting more sure by the day that I've pulled (or worse) a 'muscle' there (note: pre pregnancy, I had no muscles there) from the way it hurts.
However, I'm feeling stressy about not being ready (practically, but I guess a little on an emotional/psychological level too) so I don't want to fast forward five weeks. Hope this is all being noted down by the Baby God.

Had my final class in my evening class series tonight - all my students were lovely (bar the fucking irritating Canadian one who looks like a toad), and did very well reading texts in the British Museum, so I am feeling like a proud mother hen.

Tomorrow is last of the hospital bag shopping, then cinema. Sunday is vegging day - I plan to read at least one whole book and have a bath. What do you all have planned for the weekend?

Angelesque · 29/11/2013 21:31

Hello everybody - hooray for the end of the working week!

Plans are hypnobirthing and housewarming party tomorrow, then probably working on Sunday... Sad still, only got 19 working days left... Massively counting down now to mat leave...

31 week appt went well today... slightly concerned that fundal measurement is tracking along the top 90th percentile curve... Meaning I'm on track for a 9lb 8 baby gulp these fundal measurements aren't that accurate though, right? Right?

Baby is still head down and apparently head is below pelvic brim... Still loads of time for him to move around though!

Sultanajo · 29/11/2013 22:07

Lol to love yoghurt! Hilarious....although may not be able to have my yoghurt and museli brekkie tomorrow now!

yy to period type cramps. Had them a few times the last couple of days but am also ignoring them....

Not much to report here except took my ancient cat to the vet this afternoon who has various problems, which effectively confirmed what I already knew, which is he has lost more weight and at some point he will become a poorly boy and I will need to make the hard decision to let him go. I am a veterinary nurse so fully aware of everything, but it doesn't make it suck any less. He was my first cat and have had him 16 years....

Loving the German markets near us - could inhale the smell of German sausages cooking for hours! Yum!

More baby bits washing planned for the weekend, along with trying to fit the car seat bases into our cars that I picked up from my mate today....all feeling pretty real now with 4 weeks until due date and DH saying "so in theory he could arrive anytime from next Friday onwards?" Ekkkk!

extracrunchy · 30/11/2013 01:04

Aw Sultana sorry to hear about your cat Sad

Sorry MrsG I meant Altered when I went on about fanny bacteria...

I just finished pretty much all of my Christmas shopping online! And now I should really go to bed. Night!

Mac2014 · 30/11/2013 06:59

Ranting pity post alert...

My DH is a twat.

His mate came to stay yesterday. They went to the pub, got hammered. Rolled in about midnight & woke me up. He's spent the entire night either snoring like a drain on his back and got up to pee more than me, leaving the bathroom door open so that the noises from the bathroom have been a delight for us all.

I'm shattered and have shit loads to do this weekend, inc going to his sports dinner, which will result in him being pissed again.although he'll be sleeping in the spare room. He should have done last night but he couldn't be arsed to move the pile of boxes out of there off the bed. I will be doing that today so there's no excuse!

Reading back it sounds like I'm over reacting, but I'm so tired and irritated.

Hope you're all asleep!

Felix90 · 30/11/2013 07:28

Sultana sorry to hear about your cat Sad

Mac he is a prize idiot! I hope he makes it up to you over the weekend!!

I've had the worst nights sleep ever. It wasn't even sleep, it was just sort of lying there pretending to be asleep. Finally gave in and 'woke up' just before 6 and now sat guzzling gaviscon like it's going out of fashion. Been getting really hot flushes all night and I don't know why as my bedroom is freezing! Got my second NCT class today which is a breastfeeding session. No idea how they can discuss breastfeeding for a whole 3 hours?

Naturegirl82 · 30/11/2013 07:28

Sorry you had a poor nights sleep mac. I'll join you in that boat. Dh let the puppy sleep upstairs so I had her clambering all over me during the night. I then had a dream I had sextuplets and I was trying to breastfeed but I'm pretty sure one of them was a rat. Shock I now have to get up as a delivery could come from 8.40 (even though I know it will come right at the end of the delivery slot) but need to clear the room it is going into urgh.

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 07:45

Good morning! For some reason when I load up MN on my 'phone it won't let me post.

Last night I went to Costco. They have one of those Johnsons box of 6 packs of wipes? Well you can get three of those for £11. I didn't bother, but in case someone is interested?

Today is my last day at work. So really I don't plan on doing much at all. :)

Mac2014 · 30/11/2013 07:59

felix & nature it's just shit. Hope you manage to get some naps in today.

Everyone keeps whanging on about getting some rest. If only...

The other thing that's started irritating me is when randoms ask 'you must be so excited, not long now...' I want to say ' thanks for the pissing reminder I'm literally shitting myself (or concerned I will be post labour)'... but obvs instead I just join in with the whole facade.

Oh dear. It's going to be a pregno rage day today!

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 08:27

I've been getting the "oo you won't last until Jan" comments when I tell them how far along I am. It happens all the time, it happened with DS too. I keep saying as long as i'm not pregnant in December I'll be happy!

OP posts:
MrsVDB · 30/11/2013 09:12

So the puking in my mouth while asleep escalated to puking all over my pillow last night :( pregnancy has some strange symptoms!

Dh had to work today and we were planning on doing painting/ flooring today so I'm going to use the chance to chill in bed

Had a lovely Christmassy wedding last night, had to drive home about an hour and have decided I won't be doing much night driving any more. I just can't concentrate like I normally do and really didn't feel safe

GummiBear74 · 30/11/2013 09:17

sultana, very sad about your cat Sad
I have a 16 year old cat and I worry that she might not have long left. However, apart from a bit of arthritis, she still seems to be going strong. We've been together much longer than I've been with DH, so it'll be very hard when the time comes.

GRRR to misbehaving OHs! Mine isn't keeping me awake (that happens all by itself), but after showing no interest in the decor & furniture for the nursery, he suddenly wants to get involved and argue with everything I've been planning. I may have stamped my foot a little yesterday Blush.

I ventured on to the Amazon Black Friday site yesterday and bought some mixing bowls that I don't need! Has anyone successfully negotiated the waiting list function? I put myself down for a set of Richard Scarry books, but somehow managed to miss the message that was supposed to tell me I'd got to the top. So I added myself again, but the offer ended before I got them Angry. Does anyone know what page you need to be on to get the message?

MrsVDB · 30/11/2013 09:24

Gap has 30% off everything today including sale stuff- code shopgap

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 09:31

Oh Mrs that sounds awful! Definately relax in bed.

Gummi that's also rubbish, why do they pick their moments?! Have you already picked all the furniture out?

I didn't get anything from Amazon, I forgot to look properly to be honest

OP posts:
GummiBear74 · 30/11/2013 09:35

Thanks for the tip mrsv! I like the look of the nursing cami tops, but have no experience of Gap sizing. I'd say that my top half is a 10-12, so any suggestions of whether to go for S (8-10) or M (12-14)?

GummiBear74 · 30/11/2013 09:43

Hi frying! We've got the main furniture and finished assembling it yesterday - it's not that he doesn't like it, he just wants to put it all in different places to where I've been planning for it to go. Not a disaster, but I've bought some lovely jungle wall stickers specifically to go around where the furniture goes and they won't work as well if he rearranges everything!

The best one was wanting to put the cot coming diagonally out of a corner, 'so lots of people can stand around to look at her'. I don't know whether he's planning on selling tickets or something Confused

fryingpantoface · 30/11/2013 09:59

I don't know whether he's planning on selling tickets or something

had me chuckling! I feel a bit sorry for DH at the moment to be honest, I've decided that we need to change the bedrooms around. DS (2) was in the small box room, then we moved him into the second double room, so the baby would go in the same room. But he keeps waking at night, coming into our room, just so he can be around someone. He spends 20 mins just smiling at me and DH and stroking our faces, before going happily to his own bed. I think it's because he's so small and the room is so big. So I want the baby to go into the 2nd double room, DS to go back into the small room, and think that'll solve it. DH isn't too keen on that idea.

Sigh

Thanks ladies. Gonna do what I do best and bury my head in the sand until it becomes obvious I have to make the decision!...

Sorry for those having sucky nights. I will join u and tell u that someone called our landline at 2am. DH didn't wake up! I did 1471 and it was a mobile number. I suspect it was the wrong number but of course I then started worrying about what it could be - ie someone calling with bad news! Sooooo not much sleep was had!

I cant remember who said what as am accessing this on my new phone so apologies.... My DH has also suddenly decided he wants us to decorate the nursery and it has become a priority and he wants to get some animal wall stickers. I have told him he can look into it as he is suddenly so enthusiastic.

I have also been asking him nagging him til blue in the face for the last couple of weeks about things I need him to do so I can get us organised for Xmas, birthdays, child benefits etc. And this morning he bounded out of bed like a puppy and got all excited about everything we need to get done and told me to make a list and we would get cracking! Finally! Was planning a chilled morning on the sofa, but I need to encourage DH to help me, so about to get dressed and give him our list! Can feel a productive day in the sultana household coming on!

mac ffs! That would have royally pissed me off! Shame you cant stick him in a travelodge tonight....hope he behaves better and you don't have another awful night!

mrsv puking on your pillow at night sucks! Is it reflux? Have you tried sleeping propped up. That is the only way I am not puking on my pillow...have had the puking in mouth significantly less since drinking gaviscon and sleeping upright...

ok mind is now blank. Hope everyone has good Saturdays and whoever was waiting for their package, hope it arrives early.....

Sultanajo · 30/11/2013 10:01

Have a fab last day frying!
