Angelesque · 28/11/2013 16:11

nature ah yes, I remember now - we've ordered the Uppababy Vista in Ella Green too! Going to chase it up as the shop said they thought they'd be ready for us to pick it up or deliver by end of November.

Husband is v sad this week as he's realised that the travel system is worth almost as much as his car :(

Naturegirl82 · 28/11/2013 16:22

angel we realised that about our car too. Dh was very happy when our old car finally died and he could get a swanky new one. Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 28/11/2013 16:48

felix phew! I'm sure you'll get it sorted. And the all star is the exact one we would have gone for - very Envy.

GummiBear74 · 28/11/2013 16:54

I'm surprised how many of you are also living in the world of plasterboard, paint pots and no carpets! It's normal for us, because we're doing up the house one room at a time, but I thought other people had far less chaos going on!

humpty, I also have an arse in the vicinity of my belly button, but I can't work out what all the other lumpy bits I can feel in unlikely places are Confused I think the mothercare pram might be a really good choice! It has fantastic reviews for the price and I nearly went for it, but was seduced by silver cross at the last minute!

felix, I have been carrying my toy bagpuss around in my sling, if that makes you feel better Blush

extracrunchy · 28/11/2013 18:31

For anyone interested there are nice feeding scarf shawly things on offer on Casabu today! (kid and mum product discount site)

TarkaTheOtter · 28/11/2013 18:48

Very excited to be off to the cinema tonight. We don't have any family near by and so rely on friends (who have their own children) for babysitting so don't get out as much as I'd like.
I've had a few nights of slightly better sleep recently so starting to feel a bit more excited about the baby now. My bump has really dropped in the last few days. Almost all the roundness is below my belly button. I'm a bit concerned though as it was breech two weeks ago and I have visions of the bum engaging rather than the head.

Naturegirl82 · 28/11/2013 20:17

oooo my pram is so pretty. Only looked at the carry cot so far but I really like the colour Smile Will check the rest out at the weekend Smile

Sultanajo · 28/11/2013 20:30

Well I too will miss being preggers, but won't miss the stress! Just got back from the hospital after being monitored because bubs decided to snooze lots for the last two days. Of course as soon as they hooked me up he started wriggling around and hasn't stopped since! Phew! Glad I got checked however and they couldn't have been nicer!

Just found out another of our NCT group is in hospital and they are talking c section. She isn't due til end of December....ekkk!

fryingpantoface · 28/11/2013 20:58

Tomorrow i have a maths test (doing an nvq) and my maths skills are always tested when pregnant. I just become so thick! I spent twenty mins last time trying to work out what 11*3 was. I ended up using a calculator.

bump is really hard and back is hurting at the moment. I was able to read my new book (Venetia by Georgette Heyer - it's now my favourite one, closely followed by Arabella in case anyone is interested) and I've taken myself off to bed.

MrsVDB · 28/11/2013 21:49

gummi that's very sensible of you! We ripped all the rooms apart at once so have nowhere building dust/ crap free! Although shower room is finally finished (apart from painting, cupboard etc) today! Woo I'm so relieved. That's the last bit of work we needed to pay someone for.

Growth scan was great today. All measurements ok.weight has dropped to 37 percentile but they're not worried. I think it's just down to the short legs that he gets from me.

Also got outfit sorted for wedding tomorrow and I don't think I look too huge. Too lazy to get myself ready so had hair done today and got pedi in the morning. Everything is harder with a bump!

Also painted half the coving in bedroom today, did some washing and cleaning while working from home so all in all a good day! :)

Frizz1986 · 28/11/2013 22:35

My bag is most definitely packed and ready. Not put the car seat in yet though.

Went out for tea tonight to celebrate dhs job. Was really lovely.

Anyone else find they are now needing to pee all the time. It always feels like pee is coming out, even when it isnt. Am wondering if baby is starting to shift downwards which is good but am not liking the peeing. Might have to get some liners as have had to start changing my underwear!
I start panicking that its an infection but urine was good at midwife yesterday, or maybe its waters, but then its not all the time so it cant be. Argh!

Felix90 · 28/11/2013 22:37

Frizz I need to pee constantly but when I do go hardly anything comes out! I'm on the loo every 10 minutes. It's a right pain in the arse. Think it's just down to baby getting bigger and bladder space getting smaller...

Frizz1986 · 28/11/2013 22:48

Thank god its not just me. UTIs worry me as it was the reason my sister gave birth at 34+5 and i am 34 weeks tomorrow. All tests seem to show all is ok so assumed it must be baby, but its all so worrying as its not like i can tell everyone about my crazy pee requirements.

MrsVDB · 28/11/2013 23:05

I'm also weeing all the time and was worrying about uti but don't have any pain. Had keystones and protein in urine today but consultant wasn't worried so will just keep an eye on it

MrABC · 28/11/2013 23:43

Ooh Naturegirl82 and MrsVDB - we're all pram buddies!! We were unsure about colour at the time and it was a toss up between the Black and Drew orange. We went for orange in the end and we're really happy with it - it looks lovely. Just seen Angelesque is in the gang too!

Glad to hear it isn't just MrsABC and I who are living in an assault course of DIY bits and bobs. Will be having a last push over the next two weekends to get everything ship shape in time for the nursery furniture (and the christmas tree!).

extracrunchy · 28/11/2013 23:46

I find I need to wee every time I stand up - gravity is not my friend! X

extracrunchy · 29/11/2013 00:19

Also I just talked myself into a dose of evening primrose oil ahem internally. Pretty sure it's not even close to where I want it as can't reach! Will update Grin

Toothfairy78 · 29/11/2013 07:49

Meh, puffy ankles after long day yesterday including work do (bowling n curry)! If you're thinking of bowling at thus stage, I wouldn't recommend :(

And ToothJr appear to have been up half the night jiggling.

I don't want to go to work today!

Only 9 working days to....

BTW good with your maths test frying!

fryingpantoface · 29/11/2013 07:50

OOO let me know extra

OP posts:
extracrunchy · 29/11/2013 08:03

Haha WELL... Either my waters are leaking or the capsule is generating a lot more excess than it looks like it should! Probably the second but I'm confused!

Mac2014 · 29/11/2013 08:09

I'm also living in a building site... Resigned to the lack of floor coverings... Mini-mac is not going to crawl for a while, so I figure we've got some time yet!

We've got an extension starting next year... Fun!
Leaving anything effected by that to it's own devices.

frizz I pee or need to every time I stand up... Yoga has started presenting it's own problems!

frying good luck for your maths test today!

MrsVDB · 29/11/2013 08:21

Good luck frying

I've also joined the puffy ankle crew, after only having puffy hands for weeks the cankles caught up in style yesterday and are now huge and quite saw. Perfect timing for a day on my feet at the wedding today

TobyLerone · 29/11/2013 08:29

Good luck, frying!

extra, I didn't think the evening primrose thing was supposed to be done until practically 40 weeks. I haven't really done extensive research on it, though! Interesting to see what happens.

We're living in a world of paint pots too. DH is taking a week off in a couple of weeks so that we can decorate our bedroom. Nothing like leaving things til the last minute!

Lots of weeing here, but no cankles!

TarkaTheOtter · 29/11/2013 08:51
