Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Oh twins would be so excitingly terrifying :D

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 20:02

I'd just be utterly terrified!!

miserywaterfall · 13/12/2013 20:04

Lol Hungry :D I was talking about this with a friend recently, we are saying at least it would all be over in a oner, rather than 2 pregnancies! Ready made family :)

Trust me though, the idea of one right now is freaking me out slightly, so two might be tough haha!

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 20:26

Last time I'd have been less terrified...I'm not sure I'm ready for 3 kids under 2 though!

miserywaterfall · 13/12/2013 20:34

Fair point Hungry ;)

When is everyone planning on telling everyone? I have told a couple of folk but not many, not even our parents! Going to wait til into the second trimester for telling everyone and possibly after the scan (depending on when that is) before telling my parents.
It's going to be such a shock as I have always been quite vocal about our plans not to have any kids, so there are going to be a few dropped jaws when I tell :P

Choccywoccydodah · 13/12/2013 20:35

Horace thanks for that.
I only ever did 2 IC tests with ds, as his were so dark and clear! This time however I thought I'd buy digits thinking they were better, obviously not so.
There's 2 in the pack, when's best to use them? It doesn't say on the pack what sensitivity they are either!!

Re the twins, my friend had twins a week yesterday after ttc for 2 years and 2 months! They are identical and absolutely edible, love them! She is struggling however as she had a c section 3 weeks before their due date, and they're obviously waking each other, but I've told her once they settle down it will be absolutely fabulous!
Would've loved them the first time round and only having one pregnancy! Not that I had a hard pregnancy, no sickness or anything, hardly a bump, no stretch marks (and he was 8/13!)
This time don't you know I will get absolutely everything!!

Choccywoccydodah · 13/12/2013 20:38

Misery we're telling the parents and brothers at Xmas due to last months chemical. We told them all as soon as we found out last month and they were all gutted. Just want to make sure, that is unless my mum guesses before then! (Retired mw). She guessed with ds even though we'd told them for years we didn't want kids and lived 3.5 hours away!! She knows me too well!
We see each other 2/3 times a week now and live 2 miles away in the same town now!
Everyone else I think will be after the scan.

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 20:48

We are waiting until after the scan to tell most people, including our parents (except DH's mum who's been told in case I need help before then). My sister knows and a few friends, but I may even wait til after the 20 week scan to tell most friends, just to be on the safe side.

miserywaterfall · 13/12/2013 20:59

Will be a lovely Xmas gift :)

miserywaterfall · 13/12/2013 21:03

Hungry Yeah I think waiting for the 20 week scan is a good idea too. I guess I'll see how I've been feeling after my first scan.

Can't wait for the reactions of some people :D

eeyore2911 · 13/12/2013 21:04

It's this pregnancy that's twins... I only found out today so am still a bit flabbergasted! Really had no inkling, felt nauseous but nothing crazy, I didn't with my boys so thought maybe it was a girl... Never that there were two in there Shock...

FriendofDorothy · 13/12/2013 21:04

Er, tentatively poking my head around the door. I had two positive tests today and I have guesstimated by EDD as 19 August 2013.

I am notoriously a worrier though and I am always convinced that something is going to go tits up.

I have one beautiful son who is one tomorrow and he took nearly 2 years to conceive and we had Clomid, so I was convinced #2 was going to be difficult too. I think it has taken us about 4 months.

I am just hoping this is a sticky baby and that I can stop worrying. I had a lot of bleeding with #1 which contributes to my worry!

Missvaughan85 · 13/12/2013 21:11

Evening ladies, hope you are all well, this pregnancy is a bloody hard one so far!!! I'm a hair dresser who fully booked working 11 hr days, felt faint this afternoon my eyes actually went a bit mad in my eye sockets!!! Constant dull back ache and uncomfortable abdomen, and carpel tunnel in my wrists and constipated!!! Feeling extremely crap!!! So I've told the girl my apprentice. She's been fab. Making sure I eat properly!!! And my best friend, which DH doesn't know about and I'm sure my mother is giving me knowing looks!!! Sorry for rant!!!

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 21:12

Amazing news, eeyore! I saw your Facebook post after I'd posted on here! :-) What did your DH say?

Hi, Friend. Congratulations. Sometimes having a baby can 'reset' your fertility. Looks like that happened for you!

DuPanettoneDuVinDuFromage · 13/12/2013 21:20

Hi all, can I join? Got my bfp today! Due around 15 August according to the Mumsnet calculator Smile

miserywaterfall · 13/12/2013 21:26

Welcome and congrats Du :)

DuPanettoneDuVinDuFromage · 13/12/2013 21:36

Thanks misery! If anyone's doing the stats, you could put me on as my non-Christmas name, DuPainDuVinDuFromage Smile Did I read something about a Facebook group too?

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 22:08

Hi DuPain!

You're due the day after me :-)

If you PM Hollyjokes she can add you to the Facebook group. Do you have any other DC?

DuPanettoneDuVinDuFromage · 13/12/2013 22:11

Thanks!

I do - I have a dd who is 14 months (and has woken up about 20 times in the last hour...what's it going to be like with two?! Confused)

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 22:21

Manic...my DD will be 13 months when number 2 comes along!

Choccywoccydodah · 13/12/2013 22:50

Blimey Horace! That will be lovely they will be so close!
My old neighbour had her second in August and her son was 1 in April, I thought that was close!
She went through ivf with her son, had him in the April, and found out last Christmas Day she was pg again so it obviously boosted her fertility Grin She's got one of each now and even though it's hard work for her, her son she's kept at nursery to give her baby time and she said it'll be lovely in the long term having them so close Grin

Choccywoccydodah · 13/12/2013 22:51

I think we need a new thread, we're almost full Grin

FriendofDorothy · 13/12/2013 22:56

I desperately wanted two really close together. Hopefully it will all work out.

My family could really do with some good news as my wonderful Mum died very suddenly and unexpectedly whilst on holiday in Greece. Life is hard without her but we have to carry on. I miss her so much every single day.

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 23:02

Yes, blimey is probably the right word! If we'd succeeded first month it would have been an 11 month difference. :-)

You should start the new thread for us!

HungryHorace · 13/12/2013 23:03

Goodness, Friend, I'm so sorry about your mum. You definitely deserve good news. xx
