And as stom said, a huge congratulations to soopermum too!

Chilli81 · 22/11/2013 04:32

congrats feather enjoy this special time. Thanks

PinkWitch803 · 22/11/2013 05:55

Well done feather

I hope you had a fab first night together with Ben

Featherbag · 22/11/2013 06:52

Well I'm knackered but very happy! Ben has fed on and off all night, roughly every 90 minutes-2 hours for about 20 minutes a time, he's so clever, he just knows what to do! He's got HUGE feet and his daddy seems very proud of his boy bits. Think I'm going to be thankful to whoever suggested packing Lansinoh, getting a little sore. It was late on last night that I got out of HDU so haven't seen a bf support worker yet, hopefully will see one this morning just to check latch etc. There was only 1 MW on the ward last night and she'd been sent a non-maternity staff nurse to help, I really felt sorry for her. Got a lovely ensuite private room so really looking forward to a shower!

MildredH · 22/11/2013 07:23

Very happy for youFeather. You really deserved it all to go well after your prev experience.

Enjoy the first whole day with your little boy xxx

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 07:41

Aww feather I am so happy for you. Lansinoh is a god send, apply it before and after but def get latch checked but you've done amazing and better than I've ever managed already lol.

Enjoy your shower and your baby boy xxx

Chelsealady · 22/11/2013 08:01

Great news feather glad everything is going well.

I cant remember but isnt someone else going in to have their baby a few days after feather?

froubylou · 22/11/2013 08:13

Am so very jealous feathers and ben is a lovely name.

Now I know you have a lo already but from what I remember you had an early birth and labour so haven't done the c section and recovery part. My advice is make the most of being in bed for the day and take your pain relief religiously before you need to take it. The tiredness hit me like a wall after the second night and I could scarcely keep my eyes open to feed her. She was a hungry baby too and it seemed like she was on me every 20 mins until my milk came in on the 3rd day.

I would have lost the plot I think but an older me came and took her for 4 hours the 3rd night and gave her a cup feed. I got some sleep and felt like a new woman the next day and my milk arrived too so dd was much easier.

Had a crappy night last night. Up and Down every hour. Sigh. And I feel a bit odd again. Some pmt like cramps, some sharp pains in my groin and a bit of browny pink discharge. Am 36 weeks today so no rush for him to come yet especially as I am sure he is still breech!

Chelsealady · 22/11/2013 08:18

frouby browny pink discharge...isnt that your show??

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 08:55

chelsea I'm not sure if angrybryd has a cs today at some point but I'm not too sure.

frouby ill second chelsea sounds like your show, never noticed mine as the plug came out over a couple weeks.
Ooh can't be long now frouby phone labour ward Hun and ask as I know the plug regenerates over time but not too sure if it does after the bloody show comes out, think that's the last bit xx

violetbean · 22/11/2013 09:04

Congrats feather! Wonderful news! Enjoy your lovely newborn cuddles. Thanks

froubylou · 22/11/2013 09:08

I thought that too but it really wasn't very much at all. Normal amount of pgy discharge that I have had for months with just a little bit of colour to it.

Had a bath and cramps went and no discharge overnight with any colour so am hoping it was just because I think he has moved. Suspect I have a foot or a bum in my pelvis unless he has turned!

Got a scan on Monday anyways but I will get checked out if anything else changes.

And although I am weljel of baby snuggles I'm not ready yet lol!

extracrunchy · 22/11/2013 09:09

Frouby that definitely sounds like show and early stages - I'd call in. Exciting!! Grin

Another one who can't sleep and for some reason DS has started waking at 3.30am on the dot every night - can't work out why - which is usually the little bit of the night I'm asleep! Tsch. Someone at antenatal group said their DD started having disturbed sleep right before new baby arrived. Wonder if there's any truth in it...

Dasie · 22/11/2013 09:10

Huge congratulations Feather! Glad all went well and your little bundle is doing so well!

I'm 38+6 today and have had no signs or twinges whatsoever!! BH since about 15 weeks prego so more than used to them now!

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday x

extracrunchy · 22/11/2013 09:12

Oh cross posts - sounds sensible Frouby.

I've got MW on Monday. After off and on contractions for last few days am sort of hoping she'll inform me I'm 8cm and baby's nearly here!

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 09:24

Lol crunchy my mw wouldn't even check me Hmm I was also hoping for that not really joking either

At least you can get checked Monday frouby but call in if anything else pops up.

Ooh daisie 39 weeks tomorrow, I'm that on Monday Smile

WhisperMen · 22/11/2013 10:00

eek frouby hope it's nothing just keep an eye on it please. There's a poppet Grin

crunchy I have my 36/37 (I don't know what week it's meant to bloody be) MW appointment on Monday and am hoping she'll tell me baby Whisper is ready and raring to go and will arrive in the next week. Here's hoping.

Morning everyone. I am exhausted today thanks to DP. He spent the entire night breathing on me, then rolling over and hitting my belly waking baby up and he smelled weird. I ended up getting up at 3am and knitting half a bloody scarf! Doesn't help that I can't nap as today I am busy. We're going to the cinema and shopping for an outfit for the funeral. Really cannot be bothered, but it's DP's only day off until next Saturday, so need to do it today.
Is it bad that I am really resentful of all you who are 38/39 weeks because it's nearly all over for you? I am 36+1 and want to cry about the fact I could still have 6 more weeks of this.

Chelsealady · 22/11/2013 10:07

Whisper it could be worse im only 35 weeks Monday!

itsliz · 22/11/2013 10:18

I'm exactly the same as you Chelsea, only 34+4 today so I won't hit 35 weeks until Monday! This last leg of the journey seems to be taking foreeeeever...

Hope everything's ok frouby - as everyone else has said, keep an eye on those symptoms and phone up if anything changes!

MissRatty · 22/11/2013 10:23

Oooh, hello folks! Kindly got shown this post after posting in the pregnancy thread as I'm 37+5. Will be reading with interest as I'm starting to get a bit fed up now and excited to meet my little one. :-)

Chelsealady · 22/11/2013 10:24

Liz have you had any symptons yet? Its depressing even though i went into early labour I think that im going to go over and have this baby in January!

MrsShrubs · 22/11/2013 10:58

Welcome missratty Flowers

Started to lose my plug this morning but so aware that could mean nothing and go on for weeks! I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow Smile

Those who are hoping to have a water birth or use the pool for pain relief are you planning on wearing a baggy top or something to maintain some modesty or going all for it? Might be a really stupid question lol
