Having been recommended by another MNer, this book might be of interest to other PESH.

I am going batshit crazy. I'm an impatient person at the best of times, I just want to see my baybee!

By LMP dates I'll only be 13 weeks, but that's not the point.

FriendofDorothy · 16/01/2014 21:31

I caved and phoned radiology to get my appointment for a scan. I think it will be on 4 February. Seems like forever away.

MyNameIsWinkly · 17/01/2014 07:09

It'll drag dor, but you'll get there.

Morning sickness - not just first trimester fun! I feel absolutely wretched this morning.

MyNameIsWinkly · 17/01/2014 18:03

Random Act Of Stupidity for the day - went to the fridge, instead of getting out the soda water and pouring it into my lime cordial, I got out and poured... milk :(

FrankelInFoal · 17/01/2014 18:24

Oh yuck Winks. How are you feeling now, has the sickness subsided?

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 17/01/2014 18:37

Yuck indeed! And I didn't have any soda water left anyway, so the whole trip to the kitchen was an unmitigated disaster Grin Yes, all better now, the sickness faded by 10ish but my throat and eyes hurt until about lunchtime. Hoping there won't be a repeat of that!

HWCA was a bad bad man this afternoon - he went and bought a (beautiful) baby blanket from the Mamas and Papas range when I let him go shopping without supervision...

How is everyone this evening? Hope you all have nice weekends lined up?

eurochick · 18/01/2014 12:30

Aw, he's getting excited wink!

Dor my NHS scan appointment just came through - for the same day as our nuchal appointment at FMC, so I will most likely cancel it.

I have thus far ducked the morning sickness. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I vaguely remember my mum telling me when there was a programme on telly with someone hurling their guts up that she never puked when preggo. Maybe I will take after her. Although milk and lime might send me over the edge!

I seem to have picked up some kind of lurgy. It started yesterday. I have a sore throat (boooooo) and a dodgy stomach. I didn't eat anything dodgy yesterday so maybe they are somehow related. I really didn't plan to spend my birthday evening cleaning the loo!

FrankelInFoal · 18/01/2014 13:06

I didn't really get morning sickness Euro, more of a general yucky feeling that hung around for a few weeks. I was only sick once, and that was tea induced.

We've been out this morning and bought some dark throws for the sofas, which are cream. Something tells me small babies/toddlers don't mix with cream sofas!

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 18/01/2014 17:38

Morning sickness wasn't too bad for me, only when I had very early starts at work. I didn't cope too well with getting up around 5 for the first trimester. I had much worse sickness in the unsuccessful diffment as it happens, I had to pull over and vomit at a bus stop one day as I was driving.

frank I dunno, milky puke stains might show up less on the cream :) Are the throws machine washable? If they are, you're sorted. We have leather sofas which proved to be wipe-clean when HWCA's niece puked chocolate cake all over them Envy

FrankelInFoal · 18/01/2014 17:43

Yup new fred is looming, any volunteers?

Throws are very definitely machine washable - I ain't stoopid!

My feet are still very puffy (nowhere else thankfully) so I've dug out a pair of sechsy surgical stockings I had stuffed in the back of my sock drawer from when I had my laporoscopy to see if they'll help.

Speaking of milky stains, I noticed I had a few suspicious looking spots on my pyjama top this morning. I've not noticed any leakage so far but is it possible this is boob central getting ready for action?

OP posts:
SinkyMalinks · 18/01/2014 18:35

Frank, I've had leaky boobs from about 23 weeks. Lovely. So, yes, I think you're bresticles are gearing up into action!

Winks and Euro, not to be left out, I had a spectacular vomiting fit yesterday evening. Oddly, the tea time noodles mad a reappearance, but the pre bedtime tea and orange juice were absent.

I suppose I should offer to do the fred. I am absent minded at best. Currently it's a wonder I leave the house fully dressed in the morning. (Did I mention I got my work schedule totally flipped on Friday? Trying to do pm session in morning and have morning meeting in pm. Sigh. Didn't help by female colleagues of a certain age simpering at me about baby fucking brain)

So, ginfox and Kat seem absent (many, many apologies if I've missed a post). Dor, ginger and euro - are you all happy to have edd's added? Anyone else not on who should be? And s the CRESH list staying as is? (With the addition of Noks, obvs!)

FriendofDorothy · 18/01/2014 18:55

Yep happy to have EDD added - 18 August.

FrankelInFoal · 18/01/2014 19:40

I edited the CRESH list when I did this fred, but feel free to trim further, I'm sure no one will be offended as several of them no longer post.

OP posts:
SinkyMalinks · 18/01/2014 19:41

FrankelInFoal · 18/01/2014 19:52

Meek is between me and you isn't she? I'm sure the 3 of us are very close together.

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 18/01/2014 19:55
