It's been a long old while since they gave up on the peasant and put in a pessary, hasn't it? Hope she's ok.

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 08:19

Still no news? Hop everything is ok Noks and you are just too busy with newborn snuggles.

OP posts:
KatAndKit · 12/01/2014 08:54

Hoping all is well for noks. Induction can take a good old while. Hopefully you are snuggling this morning :)

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 14:08

Poor old norks, this weekend is dragging its ass for her. I'm heading out for afternoon tea and hoping for good news when I'm home.

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 18:25

So how's everyone's weekend been?

I've got quite a bit of work done on my college assignments so fingers crossed I'm on my way to getting them finished pre-Turnip's arrival!

I think Turnip has started to turn head down now too as I was getting some funny pulsing sensations low down in my bump. A quick Google informed me that they were hiccups Grin, so I'm guessing that the lump I've been feeling on the top right hand side of my bump is her bum!

Thanks for the hospital bag tips too, ear plugs and moisturiser wouldn't have occurred to me Jeff Grin

ALittleFaith · 12/01/2014 18:33

Ooh an eye black out mask too Frank. I was in a bay with babies on light treatment for jaundice, it's very bright! Well done on getting the assignments. Can't be easy. I could feel Faithlet's bum for ages and it wiggled when I poked it! Grin

We've had a quiet weekend, been night weaning Faithlet. Not as painful as we anticipated!

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 20:08

Hags I do believe norks has laid!

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 20:13

What, where, when???????

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 20:18

She's getting lots of congratulations on her facecrack page on a successful lay, that's all I know. How can she not have told us first?!?! Shock Grin

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 20:21

Ahh, that'll be why: I don't think I'm fwiends with her on Facebook.

OP posts:
evilgiraffe · 12/01/2014 22:07

No, me neither, I thought she eschewed facebook! winks is clearly special Wink

eurochick · 12/01/2014 22:08

Aw, she's laid. Brilliant.

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 22:10

Well, it's just not good enough that she hadn't updated us

Wink

So very happy for you Noks, if you're reading.

ALittleFaith · 12/01/2014 22:13

I do recall it taking me multiple attempts to post about Faithlet and I was only in labour for 2 hours so I will cut noks some slack. I too was under the premise that she declined to face space.

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 22:17

Yes am super speshul :) She friended me a few weeks ago so I could privately bore her with my scan pic, is all.I am very pleased that The Nipper is out. Hopefully she'll be along soon to tell us all about it.

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 22:24

Eep, I wasn't being critical, more trying to be all cool and sarky BESH. That came across right? Right?!

Of course I don't actually expect an instant update, puts too much pressure on the rest of us to do the same!

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 22:31

frank I fully expect Turnip's birth to be live streamed online, so you won't be needing to update us Grin

FrankelInFoal · 12/01/2014 22:38

I shall order the webcam now Wink

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 22:47

HD, if you don't mind Wink

I have had a lovely day today, other than being wide awake at 4.30 am and not getting back to sleep until HWCA got in from work just after 7. (He still has a very sore leg, poor thing.) Went for afternoon tea and a cinema screening at a naice hotel, got to see my friends and wear a pretty dress while it still fits. Good fun all round.

MyNameIsWinkly · 12/01/2014 22:49

I just searched hd webcams out of curiosity and the top hit was a link to mobile sex cams Hmm

FrankelInFoal · 13/01/2014 07:02

Er, no I won't be providing one of those!

Wish me luck today Hags, I'm starting my my practical week for my degree course today. They've already been told I can't actually do anything so I'm anticipating a week of standing around in the stable yard getting cold while I watch other people do stuff Hmm They have promised me a straw bale to sit on though [ grin]

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 13/01/2014 08:14

Hurrah for the successful lay. If she hadn't I'd been getting v worried. Congrats noks come and frighten us!

You're top of the list frank! :)

We had a lovely weekend, went down the parental place at the seaside and went for bracing walks and afternoon snoozes, it was all great. Now I am supposed to get some work done before anomaly scan this afternoon

Nokkie73 · 13/01/2014 12:27

Wanders in clutching a TEAM PINK child. Wassup Hags ? Grin

So, after a peasant up the chumbawamba for 25 hours, then waters being broken, then a syntocin drip to start off contractions, trying to manage the pain with lazy Daisy breathing and on gas and air only (stupid, stupid STUPID girl - for a normal labour, that would be ok for some but not with syntocin), pethedine and then an epidural, after 34.5 hours labour, they tell me that the nipper is not back to back but, in fact, breech. So, an emergency cesarean it was for moi and at 3.37am my beautiful baby girl was born. 8lbs, 11ozs and the chubbiest cheeks ever. Despite them missing the fact she was breech, I am really relieved that she got here safely and couldn't be happier. I was pretty much bed bound yesterday so updates were hard to do. I am up and moving about now !

eurochick · 13/01/2014 12:31

Oh blimey noks how did they miss that she was breech? I am so glad that she is here safely. You sound remarkably chipper for someone who had 34.5hrs of labour followed by major surgery! CONGRATULATIONS!

frank I am sure there are some "specialist" websites that would love a live birth stream.

MyNameIsWinkly · 13/01/2014 13:08

You've done brilliantly and she's a beauty noks. Yoy do sound very cheery! Another one Shock that they missed she was breech. Not good.
