ALittleFaith · 10/01/2014 19:12

Hope it all goes well Noks. I highly recommend ear plugs when in hospital. I can't believe you'll get your baybee soon!

Yes I reckon Kat is right euro. Dnephew was due around 24th August and his birthday is 09/09/09! I luff having an April baby - nice weather to take little one out in, not too pregnant in the heat - but I was just happy to be diffed! I can't imagine planning the time. It's so luffly that you're properly entrenched in PESH land.

I survived my first week back at work but did come home to a tearful Faithlet. No kip this afternoon and she was all emotional. I got nice smiles on arrival though :)

evilgiraffe · 10/01/2014 19:28

All my family are winter birthdays - I always thought our children would be the same, or perhaps spring/autumn. The idea of a summer baby is utterly confusing. I'm hoping for mid-June rather than early July, at least...

pinkr · 10/01/2014 21:34

Eek...I lose sight of the thread for a few days and its all go!
Good to see you Euro!
Noks....how very very exciting. You may be trying to push a small person out your fanjo as we speak. Hope everything goes as smooth as a baby's behind!
I'll not bore you with my induction tale but will say that out the sunroof isn't as awful as you imagine beforehand honestly.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 11/01/2014 08:01

Hope all is well with you noks and that you're currently snuggling w the nipper! Thinking of you...

Summer babies are all the rage in my family: 6 out of 7 Born between the middle of May and the middle of June. So I am just hoping Lembie doesn't land on someone else's birthday...

YAY for achual PESHing, euro!

FrankelInFoal · 11/01/2014 08:48

Just checking on on Noks Watch, hoping the radio silence means you're cuddling with your snuffle newborn ESH-let.

Nice to see you in these parts pink, how is small pink doing?

Birthday wise March is going to fill a blank space in the diary as my family, plus HWHNN's, tend towards the second half of the year. My birthday is the first of the year within our immediate family and that's not till mid-May.

HWHNN and I were chatting about potential funny dates for Turnip to put in an appearance:

20th Feb will be the 12th anniversary since we met, though I'd rather she didn't show up early!
8th March is Frankel's birthday Grin
11th March - not significant in itself but me, my brother, HWHNN & two cousins were all born on the 11th so it would keep up a family tradition!

OP posts:
evilgiraffe · 11/01/2014 08:51

I would love your Turnip to be born on Frankel's birthday, Frank Grin

FrankelInFoal · 11/01/2014 08:53

It would be nicely poetic wouldn't it Grin

Also holding out or Noks news...

March is just keeping my family tradition alive, me, mum, dad, brother, aunt, 2 cousins all march, a few more in April.

But, have to say I'm really hoping I get an early lay. Baby is so low- all the wriggles are just at my pelvis bone. He's constantly sitting on my bladder. Bah. Is 31 weeks too early to start wishing him out? (Innocent whistle)

JethroTull · 11/01/2014 09:49

Just seeing if there was any Noks news....

Nokkie73 · 11/01/2014 09:50

Hi all. Just a quickie to say that I've had a rough night. The naughty nipper is back to back and I can't lie down at all. I've had the TENS machine on constantly and as much codeine as I can lay my hands on. They are re-examining me at half three. They may try to break my waters or if conditions aren't favourable, take the pessary out, give me a 24 hour break and then start again. I think I'm in it for the long haul as I am contracting.....but slowly. I had a couple of cries in the night (got more drugs) but am feeling a bit more positive now. Am just knackered ! Keep shouting for me girls.....xx

Nokkie73 · 11/01/2014 09:51

And the moral of the story is HIRE A DAMN TENS MACHINE BECAUSE THEY ARE BRILLIANT !

evilgiraffe · 11/01/2014 09:54

You can do it, noks, hang on in there!

eurochick · 11/01/2014 10:13

Noks you are on the way! Keep electrocuting yourself and you will get there! I do think you need to demand some space to do yoga though...

Thanks for the welcome, ladies. I'm a bit scared as last time I just straight onto the relevant ante-natal thread and then had to leave. :( But the bleed brought me over here, and with two scans showing what they should, it seems right that I should stay.

SinkyMalinks · 11/01/2014 10:14

Are you in a MLU Noks?

There are stronger drugs than codeine...

Just sayin'

pinkr · 11/01/2014 10:38

Go noks! Waving pom poms in your direction.

Little pink is so cute...She's up every two hours at night for feeds...She is so regular you can set your watch by her!

MyNameIsWinkly · 11/01/2014 10:42

Oh norks, you poor thing :( It'll be worth it in the end though..

sinks maybe a teeeeny bit early!

We have so many people in our family there isn't a gap really. End of June/start of July is as good a time as any I suppose!

FrankelInFoal · 11/01/2014 10:43

Oh naughty nipper Noks, have you been able to get any sleep/rest? Are you able to be a bit active in your cupboard room?

The will of the BESH/PESH/CRESH is behind you, we're all pushing that baybee out with you Grin

OP posts:
ALittleFaith · 11/01/2014 11:07

Sinks you keep cooking that baybee a while longer!

Good luck Noks! I'd be asking them to up the ante pain relief wise. Faithlet was b2b the little monkey. Tis extra ouchy! I hope it all kicks off soon.

FrankelInFoal · 11/01/2014 15:05

Back from my shopping trip, bought bra extenders rather than new bras, which are doing the job. I also bought a bump support band in Mothercare - my god it's insanely comfortable Grin

Hoping all is progressing well Noks.

I've decided I need to think about my hospital bag this weekend. Aside from the obvious can the CRESH collective recommend bits and pieces I might not have thought of?

FriendofDorothy · 11/01/2014 16:55

Come on Noks!!! How exciting!

FrankelInFoal · 11/01/2014 18:24

I'm assuming from the lack of news that they decided to press on after the 3.30pm examination.

Altogether now: PUUUUUUSSSSSHHHHHHHH!

OP posts:
ALittleFaith · 11/01/2014 19:02

Deep breaths nok! You can do it!

Frank I preferred giant cotton pants to the disposable ones. I also bought several nighties to wear but I felt too exposed with the male visitors so chose to wear large pjs instead with a cardy. Those with bust support are excellent. I'm sure I'll think of more.

MyNameIsWinkly · 11/01/2014 19:51

frank make sure you pack a spare battery for your phone, or one of those portable chargers, so you can give us push-by-push updates Wink

I am thrilled to be home in pjs after an exceedingly busy few days at work. When I got home I had post. A friend had sent me a 'congratulations on being diffed' card. Very nice of her but - is that really a Thing? Really?

FriendofDorothy · 11/01/2014 19:54

Oh yeah, big nipple hugger black pants a couple of sizes bigger than usual. Think I bought mine from Tescos or Primark in a pack of 5 and they were bloody comfy. I wore them for quite a while after I had The Little Mister.

JethroTull · 11/01/2014 22:10

Frank my top tips for your hospital bag -
Ear plugs
Your own pillow - hospital linen is scratchy & if you end up staying in its nice to have something that feels / smells familiar
Nice warm socks
Flip flops for the shower
Moisturiser for your face.
