I was surprised that they didn't make a big deal about me being a fatty last time.

I am even fatter this time so I suspect I just edge up into the next uintervention bracket on the Fat Mamas programme.

SinkyMalinks · 17/12/2013 14:01

I'm scanning tomorrow as well winks. I'm morning but will be sending good thoughts your way. Don't worry about "being a major fatty" - I've seen photos, you'll be fine! (You fool!)

OComeAllYeFaithFul · 17/12/2013 14:54

Marker for GTT in my trust is BMI of over 30. I was 29 at my booking in appointment and 30 at my 12 week scan!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 17/12/2013 16:22

I haven't weighed myself for ages, but gave gained a jeans size in the last two weeks. Guess bump is about to appear, I can really feel it when I stroke my belly (in private, I hasten to add). Midwife on Friday, 16 weeks on Sat. I guess by getting glucose high twice already I am lined up for GTT as well.

Massive good luck for the scans, winks and sinky!

Aw at wriggly turnip and nipper! Shouldn't you be laying by now, noks?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 17/12/2013 16:23

Bloody fat fingers on phone...

FrankelInFoal · 17/12/2013 18:03

Let's not hurry Noks along too much: once she lays I move to the top of The List Confused

OP posts:
Nokkie73 · 17/12/2013 18:35

38+3 today drizz. Da nipper is showing no signs of shifting yet. It currently has the hiccups (been getting that a lot over that's couple of weeks). I obviously have a guzzler on my hands ! I cannot believe you are 16 weeks already. Time really does go so quickly.

sinks good luck for your scannage too. How many weeks are you ?

Cool your jets franks you have plenty of time !

SinkyMalinks · 17/12/2013 18:52

Nokks, I'm 27 weeks. Also have a hiccupy baby!

Frank, thanks to you I'm unlikely to be topping the list for any length of time- so I consider myself safe from the reality of it all!

And in me news... The laparoscopy scars have not saved me the horrors of an outy belly button. Sad Grin

OComeAllYeFaithFul · 17/12/2013 19:25

Sinks that was one of my pregnancy fears but I have a very deep belly button so it stayed put.

Noks my waters went at 38+4 and I laid at 38+5. Just sayin' Xmas Wink

Frank it is scary being top of the list!

Aw drizz I hope it's not GD but if it is, it's manageable, just bear that in mind.

evilgiraffe · 17/12/2013 19:41

My friend had GD (diagnosed early as she had a high BMI and signed up for extra testing) and managed just fine, diet-controlled first and then with insulin. Baby was fine :)

Good luck to tomorrow's scannees!

My News Of The Day: I have finished Christmas shopping Grin Not started wrapping yet, but I have things to wrap, hurrah!

MyNameIsWinkly · 17/12/2013 22:43

Good luck tomorrow sinks. I am on at 9am, which is good (don't have long to fret) and bad (have to battle with the m25 in rush hour.)

driz I too have a friend who had gd, it didn't appear to affect her that badly. She delivered her (OMG IVF) baybee by elcs at about 39 weeks, he is a fine young fella.

Most unusually for me, I have finished my shopping and have only 1 item left to wrap, it should be delivered soon. Feeling very organised.

I went to a pub quiz this evening. I'm on my way home but am up very much past my bed time and am feeling it!

KatAndKit · 18/12/2013 07:11

Good luck today winks and sinks my fingers are crossed for lovely scannage.

i see i will have about a day at the top of the list. As there are so many June baybees i can stay in De Nile right to the end! In fact if this baby comes a few days before due date and spares me the joy of induction i could leapfrog draf and never be at the top at all :)

i am woefully unprepared for Christmas. Must get onto it today.

FrankelInFoal · 18/12/2013 07:54

Good luck today Winks and Sinks, we'll be standing by for news.

I noticed last night that I appear to be developing a linea nigra, but so far (touch wood) no stretchmarks. Thank you BioOil!

OP posts:
FriendofDorothy · 18/12/2013 08:22

Bleurgh for the first time ever during a pregnancy I feel pukey. Cleaning my teeth this morning made me gag. Grim.

evilgiraffe · 18/12/2013 08:28

Heh, Kat, I was thinking staying in denial will be quite easy too! I think the order is driz, me, Kat, Winks, but we're all so close together it could happen in any order really. Is it wrong that I'm sort of hoping for it to come early, so I've got more chance of being able to go and see the start of stage three of Le Tour (Cambridge-London)? I know it's unlikely, but I really really want to go... The Tour starts in the second week of July, so there is a slim chance that baby could be born and me mobile, isn't there?

I am resigned to stretchmarks, Frank. I got loads when I was 13-15 ish all over my legs, boobs, and hips. I must be one of those stretchmark people. On the other hand, having had lots for years and years already, at least I'm not too bothered by the idea. Though new ones won't be silvery and barely visible like my current ones, grr.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 18/12/2013 09:15

Well done on no stretch marks frank. I am like draf. I even have horizontal ones on my back from a growth spurt when I was about 12. I was wondering at what point should one start oiling stuff? I have very itchy and dry skin on my back, but the belly is getting a little rounded now (hurrah, finally!) but nothing stretchy yet.

Sympathies for pukiness dor. Thinks are different from with the little mister, so maybe no bleeding and a baby girl?

Good luck winks and sinks! I'll be nearby, and impromptu day of working from home as the exhaustion is back with a vengance... Battling a cold is much harder work when diffed.

I'll have a chat with the midwife about GD, although when my GP slightly hysterically got me in to do my blood sugar, it was nice and low, so I am trying not to panic (and have stopped eating as many biscuits).

SinkyMalinks · 18/12/2013 10:05

An currently waiting for scan.. Will update later..

I think I'm getting a linea nigra as well frank, and also have so far avoided stretch marks. Think I'm also someone who doesn't seem to get them (hopes isn't jinxing self)

Kat, what with the apparently (we'll see!) big baby, and the fact my mum never got past 36 weeks, I'm hoping to be early and miss and list topping!

My friend had her baby boy on tues- am v jealous!

SinkyMalinks · 18/12/2013 10:30

Scan all good. Big baby on 90th centile, but within normal range and fluid volume fine.

You don't get to see much by this point though - he's too big to fit on the screen!

MyNameIsWinkly · 18/12/2013 11:05

Great news sinks, are you feeling a bit happier now?

All good here too, fabulous wriggly baybee which steadfastly refused to assume the position, leading to a surprise dildocamming and some beautiful clear pics. EDD bumped up to 26/6 (although I will be telling people 1/7 so they get July in their heads and not torture me throughout June). draf I'm hoping to be mobile enough to go to a wedding in Ireland on 31/7, fingers crossed for both of us!

Scan pics won't be going on fb but I'll pm it to anyone who is interested nobody

FrankelInFoal · 18/12/2013 11:05

Hurrah for good scan news Sinks Xmas Grin

OP posts:
lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 18/12/2013 11:12

Hurrah for good scannage sinks and winks! Douze points and mince pies all round!

I love a good scan picture these days, used to bloody hate them winks (and can even offer one in return!)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 18/12/2013 11:13

And we have weddings on May 31st and July 12th... Not assuming I can make it to both!

Nokkie73 · 18/12/2013 11:15

Hurrah for sinks and winks. I am so ridiculously pleased for you both. It's funny when they don't behave for scans innit twonks. I was secretly pleased that mine was soooooo badly behaved that the sonographer sent me out to have a massive hot chocolate. I loved my baby so much at that point I could have wept shameless chocolate whore

Nokkie73 · 18/12/2013 11:16

Share the scannage twonks !

evilgiraffe · 18/12/2013 11:27

Hurrah! Excellent news, both Grin
