Yay new thread!

I've just received my info pack to become a registered childminder and I have to attend an information/registration session first week in December!
I'm supposed to do a business plan and all that bumf before then - shouldn't be too hard. They're building a new school right near my house so they'll defo need more after school provision. Fingers crossed I'll be able to make a living once baby is a few months old as returning to my current job is not an option.

Anyway - I know we have at least 2 scans happening today. Where are they?!

thistlelicker · 06/11/2013 14:38

I've just had a lovely Call from my midwife telling me to stay warm and drink plenty and I need to go see them I can go on Friday!! I can barely move:-( I wish headaches would do one!!!

As for bras I've got a pretty lace non wired one I can't do wires they hurt!! I've went up a cup size

Vikks · 06/11/2013 14:55

Oh, lovely new thread! Mind if I make myself comfy?

I've had my 12 week scan today and everything is looking perfect. I told them my dates and the baby measures exactly that, 12+5 due 16th! Baby was nice and still so they were able to do the nuchal scan which they said looked nice and thin. I’ll get the results of the bloods in a few weeks.

Hendricks and Choppa hope your scans were good too!

I've added my new picture x x GrinHappy!!!

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 14:58

I'm in between a prune and a lime Grin Squiffie I hate prunes too, bleh!

thistlelicker · 06/11/2013 14:59

Awe vikks x

Xavielli · 06/11/2013 15:03

Congrats vikks great news.

I just wanted to add to the contraceptive debate - please don't let our vasectomy failure put anyone off, they are genuinely one of the most effective methods. If it's any consolation (?) I also have a baby from religiously taking the mini pill and one conceived with a Mirena coil in situ. We're obviously just meant to have these children

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 15:08

Glad everything went Vikks Beautiful clear picture. Mine is a blur - I shall have to add it. You can just about make out a head Grin

LongTailedTit · 06/11/2013 15:12

For anyone after a comfy night bra, this is great and will be fab for night feeds too. Bravado Silk
Good enough support for around the house if you wear it during the day, but I wouldn't run for a bus in it!

I'm hankering after Elle MacPherson maternity bras now...

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 06/11/2013 15:13

I am really craving a nice ripe juicy peach now! 16 weeks and miraculously the nausea has mostly gone though I am still very prone to retching. And still SO TIRED. I am falling asleep by 8pm every night and no energy at all. Also getting dizzy spells where I get funny dots swimming about in front of my eyes which I think may be low blood pressure - seeing midwife next week so will discuss it then anyway.

Have been on holiday for a week so no idea what's been happening on the threads and will never catch up but hope everyone is well!

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 15:14

There we go, think I've added the photo of blurry baby Grin

thistlelicker · 06/11/2013 15:30

Is it wrong I've just had a tin of rice pudding and jam

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 15:33

Nope thistle that sounds amazing - yum yum yum :)

thistlelicker · 06/11/2013 15:34

Just want to stop feeling crap

Xavielli · 06/11/2013 15:36

Ooo yum thistle! I've got pulled pork in the show cooker for dinner, having to resist a nibble Wink

I've still got my Hot Milk bras from last time, hoping they still fit for feeding, I don't tend to grow much and am a steady D or DD

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 15:36

I bet you do :( I wish I could help xx

Xavielli · 06/11/2013 15:37

Slow not show... Sounds fancy

snoozysleeper · 06/11/2013 15:43

Ah congratulations vikks

I think I have one of the latest, if not the latest, 12 week scan dates...21st nov when I'll be nearly 14 weeks by then Sad

Thankyou for setting up new thread cbeebies

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 15:47

Snoozy I still don't understand why your scan is so late. Did you ever try and ring to make it earlier? x

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 06/11/2013 15:59

Thistle, can I ask a really stupid question and feel free to tell me to fuck off!
I've been having headaches for weeks now. I'm ment to wear glasses and have been wearing contacts but the hormones have been playing havoc with my eyes and they are so dry they hurt and have been splitting. I just in ally picked up my glasses today after weeks of putting it off and feeling terrible and suddenly headaches have disappeared this afternoon.

Have you had your eyes tested recently? You'd need to inform them you're pregnant but they might be able to help?

snoozysleeper · 06/11/2013 15:59

Ah bluestone I can't because its coupled with a consultant appt too Sad it is a little frustrating though... God knows when my 20wk scan will be Hmm

bluestone85 · 06/11/2013 16:02

Snoozy I would have thought that you would have had a separate consultant appointment to your 12 week scan though Confused Or is that just in my crazy world?

moominleigh94 · 06/11/2013 16:04

Yay new thread Grin

No idea what I'm doing for dinner... think I'm trying out for university challenge at 5 Grin not at all nervous as I know Glyndwr have no chance of getting any further than the very first stage haha Grin

snoozysleeper · 06/11/2013 16:09

bluestone I know I called them and they said it was same time Confused I assume scan will happen first but we'll see

Good luck moomin

wm3010 · 06/11/2013 16:09

Hi ladies, thanks for the new thread! Still feeling a bit tired and useless here but a bit less nauseous. Fingers crossed it keeps improving and that those of you still feeling rubbish feel better soon x

impatientlywaiting · 06/11/2013 16:15

Glad you had a good scan Vikks, I can't look at your pics as I'm on a phone, but will remember to check next time I'm on a laptop.

We're definitely finding out. Gender scan booked for 10 days! I can't wait to find out (even though I feel like I know because nub theory pointed towards boy)
