Will this do? I bet someone's beat me to it now!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
moominleigh94 · 10/11/2013 19:23

I had Pizza Hut :) it was lovely Grin then went to watch Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2, great film!

Can't wait till the 12th December, get to see the baby again Grin my friend and housemate's sister had her 20 week scan the other day, she's having a boy. I still reckon I'm having a girl.

Think we'll have more in the future. I've really hated the last few weeks with morning sickness (and then the return of morning sickness), but in a weird way I'm enjoying being pregnant.

thistlelicker · 10/11/2013 19:30

We had spag Bol and then strudel and cream

I feel sick now Grin

Xavielli · 10/11/2013 20:06

Meh, my nose won't stop dripping. And DS2 was sick again this afternoon :( all over the sofa. It's a good job he barely eats and it was mainly juice.

Sitting down to watch Psycho, just because :)

moobaloo · 10/11/2013 20:37

I love being pregnant! Despite the nausea and absolute exhaustion I have felt, the worst part for me is not having told anyone yet and I am so desperate for people to just know so I don't have to justify not drinking/feeling rubbish and wearing strategic clothing so I just look like I've put on a few pounds and it's not a baby. I have definitely popped. As soon as I've told people I'm going to relax and embrace it so it will appear to others as though my bump has appeared overnight!

5 days till my scan and we tell our families Grin can't WAIT!

I've just ordered 2 bottles of non-alcoholic red wine in the hope it is vaguely drinkable. Fed up with grape juice!!

Hezbean · 10/11/2013 21:41

moobaloo I've had a few bottles of Becks Blue - the alcohol free beer. It has helped me through a few "I'm missing out on drinking" moments! I'm not usually a beer drinker, normally I'm wine all the way though so perhaps if you're really used to the real thing it wouldn't be as good. They do it in sainsburys and loads of other supermarkets.

I also tried Cobra alcohol free but that was pretty rank!

moomin - loved your blog post!

Ahhhh the weekends go so quickly at the moment!

BigBadWolefPlum · 10/11/2013 21:54

Far too quickly- I have about a half glass of rose made into 3/4 spritzers over the weekend- cheaper and much nicer than that alcohol free shit. Do you know the French actually recommend you drink a glass of wine a week while pg?

I am having a French moment. 15 weeks today!

Chip86 · 10/11/2013 22:05

Just got back from an evening at the EPU due to a bleed. Baby fine and moving happily though

mumof2aimingfor4 · 11/11/2013 06:55

Ohh chip old wives tail would suggest your having a boy.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 11/11/2013 06:56

psynl hope your taking it easy.

thistlelicker · 11/11/2013 07:53

Aww pynsl take it easy Thanks

I'm struggling with boys namesGrin

moobaloo · 11/11/2013 10:24

take it easy psynl Thanks

thistle - re. boys names, DP and I didn't agree at all, but then he suggested one neither of us had previously suggested and my first instinctive reaction was no, not a fan. But then we started playing around with it and putting our chosen middle names and DPs last name with it and shortening it etc. and we both grew quite fond of it Grin so now it's our number 1 name if the baby is a boy! So I guess what I'm saying is, even if you're not sure, play about with names and they can become surprisingly fitting!

Almonds for smart babies eh? I shall tell DP who thinks it would be nice if our child turned out to be an astrophysicist whilst still in his or her teens... as long as we don't have to help with the homework Hmm haha

hamncheese · 11/11/2013 10:29

dobe we love the slow cooker here. Do pulled pork :) also you can do a turkey leg and it comes out like the duck for pancakes from the Chinese but costs waaaay less!

Midwife today. Only to confirm I did indeed know when I had sex and the scan put me at the same as my dates.

Stupid headaches are still here but the sickness is still going away whoop.

Does anyone else feel pregnancy makes them generally feel quite down? I feel like I cba doing a lot of stuff and if I feel too tired to do something it makes me feel quite sad. I was the opposite with DS pregnancy totally positive, now I feel negative, I'm guessing blinking hormones. Also so easily irritated too which isn't helpful with a 15mo who can't speak yet and gets v frustrated and whingey...

thistlelicker · 11/11/2013 10:33

I've just got a chicken casserole into slow cooker n it smells Devine !!!

rebeccax2 · 11/11/2013 11:29

Hey all. Back from my holiday.

I've done the research and I can safely say that long haul holiday's are not worth it! I spent the first week crippled by the end of MS and jetlag and then the last week exhausted and generally totally blerghh

But it was wonderful to see family of course.

BigBadWolefPlum · 11/11/2013 11:38

awww rebecca sad to hear you didnt have a wonderful hol!

I bet the heat didn't help as well? I've got to be honest I'm not super envious of bushprinces with all that heat - it would make me so sick! I'm obviously sickeningly Envy when I'm not pg thou!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 11/11/2013 11:44

Im the opposite, im like a lizard and love the heat, pregnant or not.

bushprincess · 11/11/2013 11:46

Hey all, hope everyone had a lovely weekend, love all the comfort food suggestions - rainy season has hit with full force here and so the idea of a lovely cottage pie or slow cooked venison sounds divine!!

sorry to hear about your scare psyln glad all is ok!

ham you do indeed have a bump! fabulous!! still nothing here (14wks today according to fridays scan!) but am sure I can feel my uterus just above my pelvis - at least there's something hard just below my squishy bits... exciting!!

Had a fabulous weekend with friends, we were south of Nairobi in Maasai land, which is generally hot and dry - but we had the biggest thunder storms both nights and the rain brought in frogs by the truck load so the whole weekend had an amazingly loud frog chorus backing track! luckily enough sun came out for everyone to enjoy the pool and some bush walks and the kids (5 in total between my friends) all loved 2 days of bug hunting!

sorry to those not enjoying pg so far... I'm feeling super lucky that as yet it's all been fine - though I'm sure I'll get my come-uppance later on!

Looks like DH will be in the Phillipines for some time now Sad as although the typhoon didn't hit the island where he was sent for the earthquake (v.lucky) he's being called into assist with the relief operation on the other islands... but despite being rushed off his feet he's still finding time to get super excited about our friday scan pictures!

thistlelicker · 11/11/2013 12:04

I like the heat too! CAnt wait for my
Holiday in the new year

bushprincess · 11/11/2013 12:34

haha plum (just typed nanny and realised you're in alias at the moment!) the heat was stupifying at home, but while I'm in Nairobi the rains have cooled everything down - I'm even wearing a body warmer today!!.... hope it'll have cooled down when I get home on Friday - fx!

Where will you be off to on your hols thistle?

mumof2aimingfor4 · 11/11/2013 13:08

We're flying to gran canaria on Christmas day, our girls are getting flight tickets for Christmas, as well as other pressies obviously.

Got to put them to bed at about 5pm somehow xmas eve though as we fly at 7am and want them to be able to open their presents first.

thistlelicker · 11/11/2013 13:39

bushprincess · 11/11/2013 13:56
